"Xavier: The Contract" is Ms Charles first book in the new Indie Rebel series; one I was looking forward to reading, however not without a little trepidation ; as always when one of my favorite authors starts a new series. The fear that you just will not enjoy it or like the writing or characters as much. However my trepidation was totally unfounded. I Loved It !
Ms Charles gives us a Romantic suspense filled story with a smart , sexy, hunky hero in Xavier Sterilng trying his best to protect the ones he loves , his parents business Sterling Financial and his own business A-X gym. Sterling Financial is still suffering from a previous scam with former co-owner Ross Anton caught selling off client information and now Xavier 's father has been pulled into a housing development scam , one be recommended to clients and is about to take the fall for; except that is not how Gerald Sterling does business and Xavier knows it!
In addition to our determined hero Ms Charles delivers a smart , driven and sexy heroine in Eve Martin. Eve is only on Sydney for an interview to be the new hostess of popular public affairs tv show in Sydney , a step up from her postion in Adelaide. Eve meets the sexy Xavier at A-X while using the gym and the chemistry is immediate . Since a condition of Eve getting her new position she is not allowed to tell anyone and since Xavier has not recognized her as a tv personality and she is enjoying being wanted for who she really is and not her fame for a change she holds back even her last in; in fair play so does Xavier.
So imagine the shock when he Xavier sees the women is falling hard for on TV doing an expose on his parents and their business. Solving who is playing with their lives becomes more important , he want's Eve in his life ; however until he can clear his parents name and now his their relationship may have to go on hold. Xavier seeks out the Indie Rebels a group of well funded computer vigilantes who have had much success in bringing criminals to justice . However to get their help you have to become an indie rebel.
Suspense filled twist and turns lead you from one suspect to the next and to just add another twist Xavier's first mission is to keep the women he is falling for safe.
Will Xavier be able to protect everyone he loves , save the family business and get the women he loves ? Pick this one u to find out.

Great first book in a new series. Xavier Stirling owns his own speciality workout center that is doing well. His father’s old business partner was arrested from Stirling Financial for defrauding customers and stealing. Xavier’s parents are cleared, but someone is trying to take his father’s company down. Eve Marrin comes to town to interview for a job and goes to Xavier’s workout center where Xavier sees her and asks her out. They have a wonderful weekend but never tell each other their last names. When Eve gets the job and moves to town little do they both know beforehand that they will be on different sides of a show about the Stirling family which reports on whether the family is honest or dishonest.
The book was so interesting and I didn’t want to put it down. I always get upset with people who think they are better than others or treat people like puppets. Xavier and Eve had such an electric connection. They both had things happen to them in the past that made it hard to trust another person. I was glad to see that even though she was afraid she was letting her emotions get in the way, she could still use her brain to see what was in front of her. I loved how Xavier became an Indie Rebel. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Charles likes to write on the edge. She's at her best when she teases with lust and tempts with danger. Xavier has all the elements to be a wild ride. The red herrings are jumping and the adrenaline is pumping. Xavier has a score to settle and name to clear. Eve has a name to make and a lot to prove. Taking a walk on the wild side is always a pleasure when Miranda Charles is at the wheel.

Miranda P. Charles writes another alluring story that blew my mind! I loved the sassy, lust filled romance. Xavier and Eve had such passion and watching them fall in love as they work to uncover the truth and avoid danger was incredible. It had my heart racing one moment and the next had my heart feel fluttery. I enjoyed all the non-stop excitement and the thrill of a good mystery too. I am awaiting the next great book from Miss Charles!

Eve is in town for a job interview as an investigative journalist, when she meets Xavier at his gym. They are both attracted to each other and end up spending the weekend together.
2 months later, when she joins the program she does a report on a news, not realizing that it involves Xavier’s parents.
Xavier and his family are being targeted by a notorious criminal and looking for help, Xavier joins the Indie Rebels, a vigilante group. His first task is to protect Eve. And Eve has been tasked with finding dirt on Xavier and his family.
This book continues from where The unreal boyfriend ends. But it can be read as a complete stand alone. Xavier is a fast paced, well written read. Mystery and suspense are very seamlessly entwined with romance making it an entertaining read. This is a first book in the Indie Rebel series and is an excellent start.

Xavier has worked hard to build his business, making it what it is. His family is in the middle if an investigation due to a co- worker of his dad's doing some unsavory/ illegal things. There is so much drama, mystery, intense story line, intrigue, corrupted story by a crime boss, who stays just under getting caught. Then enters Eve, who catches Xavier's eye, so now there is another element to this story. Hang on, this is one exciting, hard to put down story, loved it.❤️

A great start to a new series by Miranda Charles about a mysterious group that works behind the scenes to capture criminals. Xavier is in need of the group’s help when his family is being threatened by a notorious criminal who always seems to be one step ahead of law enforcement. To make matters worse, the woman he is attracted to happens to be an investigative journalist assigned to investigate the scandal his dad may or not be involved in and his first assignment to receive help from this group, is to protect her as well. Eve has just taken a new job and her first assignment happens to involve the family of the man she can’t forget and want more of. Can they make it work with everything else going on around them ?
A great read with steamy scenes and I enjoyed how they worked together to try and get to the truth. There were some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, thinking this person must be the bad guy or this person is the good guy, and then change my mind and then the author surprises me with another twist. The story was a page turner wanting to know who was all involved and how it would all play out in the end, when once again there was another twist. Only thing missing for me was a heart to heart between them, Xavier telling Eve about what happened to his last serious girlfriend and her telling him about her ex. A paragraph or two between them about their pasts would have been sufficient and it would have made a huge difference to me when she becomes jealous and why he is protective of her if the other knew the history. Otherwise a great start, great plot, great characters and I can’t wait for the next one.

Miranda P. Charles has written a page turner about a reporter named Eve who is determined to uncover scammers and con artists, namely because of an aunt who killed herself after losing everything to one. She meets gym owner Xavier, whose parents own a company under investigation for fraud. Even Xavier comes under the microscope. But a group called the Indie Rebels comes to Xavier’s aid, but only if he comes to work for them.
There’s lot’s of action going on in this book, along with some serious steamy romance with Eve and Xavier. This was my first book by Ms Charles and it definitely won’t be my last!

In order to get the Indie Rebel's Vigilante group help proving that his father is innocent of business fraud, Xavier Stirling must join the Indie Rebels himself. In exchange for the group's help, Xavier must agree to protect Eve Marrin, a new co-lead investigated reporter for the very same news show that is investigating his father's supposed fraud. Weeks before Xavier and Eve met when she stopped by his gym. Not knowing their last names Eve and Xavier hooked up for an unforgettable weekend. However, their romantic relationship could be the ruin of Xavier and his family's well being. Charged with protecting both Eve and his heart, Xavier is faced with a most difficult dilemma. This book is a continuation of the story begun in The Unreal Boyfriend, it is, however, a stand-alone novel. This is an intriguing, fast paced, well written romantic suspense book that you will surely enjoy reading.

Wow!!! Miranda P. Charles' last book is pure thrill and sexy butterflies!!! This is a romance that will keep you on your toes from beginning to end!!! Very well written, with a very interesting and captivating story, full of action and angst and with very sexy characters sharing a crazy chemistry, this book is a real page turner!!!! I finished it in a day and couldn't put it down!!! With Xavier and Eve's undertones of Agatha Christy's characters and their love story's underlying tiny feels of a James Bond movie, you will find yourself delighted and properly entertained!!! "Xavier: The Contract" is the first book in Miranda P. Charles' new Indie Rebels Series and i must say that it appears to be quite promising!!! I loved every second of it and can't wait to read more....

I was drawn in by the intrigue and suspense surrounding this romance. Xavier and Eve meet at the gym Xavier owns but she lives out of town but that doesn't stop them from sharing a fun, exciting and sexy weekend together. When Eve gets a new job, she ends up back in town but she has to report on a scandal involving Xavier's family so he assumes she planned their first weekend to get information. Eve has no idea that Xavier is part of the Stirling family. As they both are working to uncover the craziness being forced upon the Stirling family, they begin to build a relationship together but will the secrets they find destroy their chance at happiness. The complexity of this mystery kept me guessing and needing to know more. Loved how this story unfolded and interconnected on so many levels. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I’ve got to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Maybe because I was coming off of a bad-book-bender?
For me the author really pulled off the perfect blend of mystery and romance.
Xavier and Eve didn’t have the awful insta-love that you’ll find in most books these days, and the author actually gave them time to get to know each other and fall in love. Their relationship didn’t seem over the top or toxic, and they actually treated each other as equals.
Eve was a strong woman without being overbearing, much appreciated!
The plot seemed well thought out and well executed, the mystery adding a little bit of spice to the whole thing.
I’m glad I got the opportunity to read this book, it was well done!

TV star meets gym monkey!
This book is based in Australia, she's a news anchor on t.v. and on the verge of moving and becoming an investigative journalist on a big tv program, he's a gym owner with a famous pop star sister. They hit it off immediately without knowing who the other one is. That's not brought to life until she investigates his parents and former associate on t.v.
There's a bad guy and loads of misleading info that all sort of intermingle. So basically the plot/storyline had good potential...but, for me, it missed the mark. It lacked passion and emotion, even the few sex scenes were dull and boring.
What capped everything off, (badly), was when help was needed they had to join a vigilante group to get it??!!

This was such a fantastic story! It pulled me in from the beginning and wouldn't let go. I could not put it down! Some of the other readers have said it's a continuation of The Unreal Boyfriend but is also a standalone. I agree with the last part. As someone who has not yet read The Unreal Boyfriend, I did not feel it impacted my understanding of this story. However, I might just have to go back and read it now since I liked this one so much. Eve and Xavier are both great characters. I enjoyed the suspense and the twists and turns that kept me guessing and turning the pages.

This is the first book in a really good looking series if this book is anything to go one. Xavier and Eve meet at the gym he owns. She happens to live out of town but this does not stop her from having a one fun sexy weekend with him. Eve ends up getting a job in town and moves back but is now reporting on a scandal that involves Xavier’s family. He assumes that the first weekend they spent together was just a way for her to get information on his family. They start working together to uncover the happenings to his family but will the secrets destroy their chance at happiness ?

The start of a new series and if this book is any indication it will be great
Xavier has to protect hi parents and their business and now someone is going after his own business The only way he can protect everything is with the help of the Indie Rebels but they work on a quad pro quo basis nd to get their help he needs to protect Eve Martin but no one told him he would end up having to protect his own heart from this woman. This is a tightly written romantic suspense that has all the elements that make it a great read and I am looking forward to more books in this series

OMG - another great new series from Miranda P Charles - kind of a spin-off, but totally a standalone!!! I live for Miranda’s books.
This story grabbed me from the start. It’s a romantic suspense I couldn’t put down. Xavier and Eve’s road is one of misunderstandings, secrets, mystery, twists and turns, trust, and sexy times. This story keep me guessing and turning the pages for more! Can’t wait for the next book in this Indie Rebels series.

From page one I was captivated. The more I read the more I was drawn in from the intrigue, excitement, mystery in this story. I also loved the characters; they are very strong, had great depth, hot chemistry and are well-developed. The story is well written, flows smoothly and has it all! This is a book/series I strongly recommend. I look forward to reading he next book in the series – based on this book it will be wonderful. This was a my first read by Charles. It was a good read and I spent the entire last half of the book trying to figure out who was on who's side. It was very interesting to see how everything played out and who was a good guy and who was bad. Things dragged a bit here and there for me but overall it was a pretty good read.

This was an intriguing and captivating story and a great start to a new series. The danger and suspense in the story keeps you hooked from the beginning until the very end. The spicy sexy romance just adds to the story. Xavier and Eve are hot together. I loved the twists and turns in this story. I look forward to reading the next "Indie Rebels" story.

This is book one in the Indie Rebels series and it features Xavier and Eve. These two have sizzling chemistry! They’ve also had plenty of wrong turns thrown into their path. This is such a brilliant story line! With all the twists and turns and who’s good and who’s bad, it was surprisingly easy to keep the story straight.
Secret societies who fight for the innocent...AWESOME! I’m definitely looking forward to book two.

A Must Read Book
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This is a really good book from Miranda P. Charles. “Xavier” is a great, entertaining book with a really good, well written storyline. I didn’t want to put it down. I liked and enjoyed reading about the super, engaging characters. Their chemistry and interaction really kept me engrossed in their story. This is an enjoyable, entertaining, must read book

Now, Xavier not only needs to watch his back--he also has to watch his heart. Great storyline and plot full of action, suspense. The chemistry between Xavier and Eve is steamy. Xavier and Eve has me on the edge of my seat. I seriously couldn’t get enough of them. I needed to know what was going to happen with everything going on. I loved all the mystery and everything that went with it. Xavier and Eve were so protective of one another I thought that was so sweet. They really cared about what was happening with each other. They were definitely meant to be. I was so happy to see them together. 🥰🧡

I loved Xavier and Eve’s story. This was a well written story with plenty of twists and turns. An engaging read with a great storyline that kept my interest from beginning to end. This is the first book in the "Indie Rebels" series can't wait for the next book.
