Amber Jenkins is afraid of heights, but when Dean McCall, her biggest crush since 10th grade, asks her to ride Dragon Flight, she nods, gulps her fear, and climbs aboard. But her worst nightmare comes true as the coaster tops the 300-foot hill.
Time stops. Everything and everyone freezes.
Everyone except Amber.
Now, the fate of her love life and Granbury Park hinges on her next move. Does she stay put and hope for the best, or does she face her biggest fear? There is only one way down. Amber's solution is about as insane and twisted as Dragon Flight, and it will challenge everything she's ever believed about herself.
J. (Jenny) Keller Ford is a scribbler of speculative fiction and YA tales. As an Army brat, she traveled the world and wandered the halls of some of Germany's most extraordinary castles in hopes of finding snarky dragons, chivalrous knights, and wondrous magic to permeate her imagination. What she found remains etched in her topsy-turvy mind and oozes out in sweeping tales of courage, sacrifice, honor and everlasting love.
When not torturing her keyboard or trying to silence the voices in her head, Jenny spends time collecting seashells, bowling, screaming on roller coasters and traveling. She is a mom to four magnificent and noble offspring, and currently lives in paradise on the west coast of Florida with a menagerie of royal pets, and her own quirky knight who was brave enough to marry her.
Jenny is the author of The Chronicles of Fallhollow series. The first two books, IN THE SHADOW OF THE DRAGON KING, and RAGE OF THE DRAGON KING, are currently available. The third and final book, BANE OF THE DRAGON KING, is due to release in the Fall 2018.

This is such an interesting story with a twist that I never in a million years saw coming. This girl is afraid of heights, and she is stuck at the top of a roller coaster and time freezes. Everyone in the entire park is frozen in time but her. It's the makings of a nightmare. Would you try to climb down? Yikes. I'm not sure I could do it.
The twist is what really got me. There is a mystery going on, and the reason WHY time stops is really intriguing. I would be seriously interested in reading a book two of this.
