This book is the best one I have read so far in terms of empowering children to break the thumb sucking habit. Rosemarie A. Van Norman first educates parents and care givers and then provides actionable ideas that can help children conquer this habit. This empowerment will empowerment will inevitably provide a firm foundation for a positive self esteem, too.

It is an easy read and definitely worth the time spent learning when and how to help your child overcome this habit.

Very informative, a experienced writer. Well the first step is reading the book, now you got to put it to action.Hope you and your child overcome the battle of thumb-sucking. Never knew there was such a book as this, will definitely recommend it. it's a book everyone should read if you have a thumb-sucker in your family, including teachers and caregivers...and yes including the grandma and grandpa. working with children, it is good to have it in your library and educate yourself.

Lots of common sense mixed with some good info. Concrete suggestions toward the end that are helpful. Liked the emphasis on building self esteem throughout.
