Mankind doesn’t know that dragon shifters exist… or just how human history has been manipulated by the arrogant beasts. Set in the contemporary world, this addicting series has made thousands of readers fall in love with the close-knit family of dragons who overcome everything thrown in their way to finally claim the men they love. You’ll laugh, cry, and have to fan yourself as the dragons struggle to come to terms with their own natures, use their powers for good, and embrace the love fate intended for them.
Dragon’s Destiny: Fated Mates: The Complete Series brings you 260,000 words of steamy gay paranormal romance that contains male pregnancy (mpreg), potty-mouthed soldiers, unbreakable love, and a whole lot of heat. The bundle includes all four complete novels in the series.
HEAT - BOOK 1
Unlike the rest of his species, dragon shifter Dane Bennett has dedicated his life to caring for humans, looking out for them, fighting for them, protecting them—and never, ever letting them know what he really is. But after four hundred years, that’s about to change.
The dragon inside Dane is telling him that Wesley Byrne, the twin brother of a soldier Dane serves with, is his destiny. The only problem? Dane doesn’t trust his dragon. The pull of a fated mate, though, is just too powerful to resist...
SCORCH - BOOK 2
For two hundred years, Maksim has kept his true nature as a dragon shifter secret from the humans he lives among and the men he takes to his bed. He prefers his love life, and life in general, to stay easy… simple…. fun. Maks doesn’t like complications, but when he finally meets his fated mate, claiming him isn’t just complicated… it’s impossible.
Fated mates are two halves of the same soul, designated for each other—but Fate isn’t going to make it easy on Maks, because the one man Maks needs is also the one he can’t have. Devin is married. Devin has a child… and a very pregnant wife.
Regardless of what fate may have had in mind for Maks, Devin simply isn’t available.
IGNITE - BOOK 3
Ben wants a baby, and for five hundred years, he’s been searching for the one man who can give him that: the human man who is the other half of his soul, his fated mate. When Ben finally finds him, though, his mate isn’t at all what he expected.
Zander is a loong, a wingless Chinese dragon and the child of fated mates himself. He’s young for a dragon, idealistic, and not at all sure he’s ready to be tied down to a mate and child. When an outside threat makes Zander face losing everything, he has to decide what really matters the most.
BLAZE - BOOK 4
Fate hasn't been kind to Ivan, but the long-lived dragon shifter doesn’t blame her. After all, he’s spent the last couple of centuries doing terrible things to humankind, and he's the last person with any right to expect kindness from something as fickle as fate. Some things are simply unforgivable.
Growing up, Wolf believed there was a ghost in his attic. To this day, he still believes that ghost creeps out of the shadows from time to time. He wishes it would say hello.
Wolf's stories explore the complicated, sensual bonds between men. There are always happy endings just as there is always a dash of otherworldly delight.
I loved this series, and it is my favorite dragon shifter series by far. I loved how all the stories were interconnected, but all the MCS were different and had their own personalities. They all meet their fated mates, but it's not all smooth sailing, and there is quite a bit of conflict to each story. My fave was the last story of the bunch. Ty and Ivan stole my heart with their rocky mating. They had a lot of baggage and real life getting in the way. One of my favorite things about the series was the delivery of babies from male MCS was actually addressed. It wasn't just glossed over like in most mpreg novels. It's always been a bother to me!!?😤 I can get behind the cesarean birth, but when the babies just magically appear from male characters, I wanna know... where is the baby coming from!? How is a male going to give birth. Most of the time it's not addressed, and the pregnant character never even asks. If I was man being told I was gonna deliver a baby I would have some questions. Where is the baby gonna come out!!? Sorry for my mini rant, but it's something that annoyed for awhile. However, I will be rereading this series for sure.
This whole series is one of my FAVORITE in Mpreg/shifter categories. I tore through them in a matter of days when I discovered them, and am tickled to own them in a bundle, since I read them on KU.
Some of the stories resonated a little more with me than others, but I thoroughly enjoyed them all and plan on a reread soon. Because there's nothing like a hot, possessive dragon shifter to warm up your winter nights. (:
This series was recommended in an MM PNR group I'm in. I read the first two books of this series and skimmed the first few chapters of book three to get a feel for it. Other than the MCs and scenery changing, it sounded like it was going to repeat the same formula of "I have to wait for [insert reason here] before claiming you." And if the MCs of book four are who I think they are, that theme would continue into their book. Therefore, this series didn't hold my interest enough to continue, which is a shame, because, overall, I liked the characters. These also read like novellas: little development, time jumps, plot holes, scarce details or mention of everyday-life stuff (like jobs/work...how they're making money to live), etc.
Another common theme that really bothered me and took me out of the story—at moments when I'd typically be the most invested, and which creates stronger connection to characters for me—was the lack of prep and lube. This isn't mpreg with omegas that create their own slick. And there's no explanation that lends to any other magical wetness or whatever at work here. So while I can suspend belief on a lot of things (this is PNR after all), I need the s*x to be realistic or have a convincing reason as to why certain—common, necessary—things aren't required. Heck, I would have even accepted that it hurt and burned and was dry, but that the dragon powers they get from their mate heals them so quickly that there's no pain...something. I've read a lot of different takes on this topic where authors get imaginative to make their PNR unique/different. So, when all I can think is, "that can't feel good; I know it doesn't," I'm completely taken out of the story. I don't know what the aversion to using lube is, ffs!
Anyways, last but definitely not least: these books need a lot more editing. A lot. Sentence structure is a disaster. As I mentioned, this series came recommended. They said it wasn't perfect, but I wasn't prepared for the abundance of issues. The authors need help with identifying dependent and independent clauses more than anything. If a sentence starts with a dependent clause, a comma must follow. Some typos and incomplete or run-on sentences are also throughout, but I can overlook those if they're not in addition to all the other glaring issues that, frankly, hinder flow and comprehension. Also, when an adverb ends in "ly," a hyphen is not to be used (for example, "commonly known fact" is correct..."commonly-known fact" is incorrect [see what I did there?]...but I digress. It's just frustrating and I needed to vent for my own sanity.
In conclusion, I don't recommend this series. I also won't be reading more from these authors in the near future. I don't enjoy writing negative/critical reviews, but I've got to be honest.
I really enjoyed all the individual stories, having read them several times each on KU. When I saw them all collected in one box set I had to get them This is a unique imagining of dragon mpreg, one I enjoyed a lot. I'm a big fan of fated mates and I like the way that this worked in these books I liked that each of the MC's had a very distinctive personality and thought the couple pairings were very well chosen. The sex is some of the hottest that I've read! The series has some humor tool, especially in the form of Ty! Each book is a stand alone but there's overlap of characters from one to another so this is a great way to make sure that you get the full enjoyment. I appreciate the epilogues as well--I always like to check in on a couple a little later. This collection is a great value and one that I know I'll be revisiting many times for quick, hot reads.
I read the first book in this series and enjoyed the plot and characters. I found it enjoyable but lacking in a few details that might not bother other readers...But niggles at my mind like a loose tooth...
What did Wesley do for a job? How did Dane support himself?
As I read each subsequent book I was drawn further into a magical world filled with love, romance, aeriall battles and family.
The bonds built between dragons and mates, parents and children, families and friends is beautiful. Embedded throughout was humor and well written dialog.
This is a great series! I really loved this world and am sad that it’s over! My least favorite was the 3rd book, Ben and Zander’s story. I didn’t like Zander that much, he seemed immature, selfish and not good enough for Ben, but then the next book, Ty and Ivan’s story was so good it wiped out all my minor irritation. Ty and Ivan’s story was such a roller coaster of emotions. I cried multiple times in a very short span of time but veered quickly back to happy.
I had a great time with this book. The mating bond between the humans and the dragons was beautiful to read about and even though I thought it would be weird, the whole pregnancy thing actually worked out amazingly. My absolute favorite character is definitely Ty haha because he was right. What’s there not to like, dude, dragons!!
Loved the entire series, but there’s nothing like a little redemption. And the epilogue melted my fing heart. (Have to throw that one in for Ty! 😜) I would LOVE to read another 10 books of these awesome men and their adventures. Maybe we will get s some spinoffs of the kiddos!!
Indeed a wonderful dragon shifter series. Each character brought something extra special to this set, but my two favorites have to be, Ivan and Ty. From start to finish, Ty had a love for dragonkind that was unmatched. Ivan had a powerful redemption story; sad, sweet, funny and loving.
Through blood and through mating, family is family!
Loved this series, love Dragons, tough guys, m/m AND more, so all my likes fulfilled in one series! I always enjoy Wolf Specter books, their well written and all engrossing!
This is like my tenth time rereading the series. I've loved it since the first time reading it. Although Ty will always be my favorite story, the others are amazing at well. Would definitely recommend.
This book really tugs at your heart strings. There’s a lot of sadness and darkness and heartbreak, but in the end it was a completely amazing finale to an even more amazing series.
What an great series, I love how all the characters in stories theirs mates and with children’s,I just wish that Markham had gotten his story told. It’s a great read, I recommend this series, wish I could give it 10 stars
I received this set of books for my birthday this year I had read one of the books and thought it was Great and was excited to read the rest of the series I wasn’t disappointed these are all fantastic books I really love them all if I could I would give This set SIX Stars 😍😍🎁🎁
It’s a lovely series. I love how they captured not only the sexy times (a lot of sexy times) but also the love and struggles with making a relationship work.
I will be honest. I accidentally purchased this series when scrolling quickly. I thought well I paid for it might as well try it, right. By the start of the first book I was sold. The editing is always the first thing I notice. If I have to catch myself and go back to try and read it again several times I’m done with it. There were very few typos. The author orchestrated each dragon and his mate as they lived their own story. By the last chapter everything came together nicely. I was crying my eyes out and laughing through the whole thing. I would love love love to see a series with all the children grown up and see how they turned out. The kids were as much of the attraction to the story as the dragons. I would recommend this series to anyone with an open mind. Loved it!
