About the author

I grew up on a farm in Arkansas, and I fully intend to retire right back to that same farm. But not yet. I came to Louisiana in 1986 to teach Biological Psychology at Xavier University in New Orleans. I've been there ever since, although I now live in a semi-rural area outside Abita Springs, Louisiana.

My primary writing interests are in Fantasy and Horror, which are the genres where my books and most of my short stories fit. I also write nonfiction, however, and poetry.

Nice conclusion to this story line for this well written sword and planet series. Non stop action and battles. Almost has a sword and sorcery feel as well. 2 more books are in this series, but are not available on Kindle.

Gritty battles with Witch driven mutant and undead armies highlight this third venture on Talera. The Witch Vohanna, thought to have died, returns to claim thrall over Bryce, Ruenn’s once possessed brother, using him for the conquest of Talera she believes already in her grasp. Standing against her across the shattered world, Ruenn and his chosen mate Rannon, gather their forces to defend the planet with the help of yet another mysterious warrior. If humor is what you crave I’d recommend another novel, but if swashbuckling combat with dark intricate plotting entertains you, Witch of Talera and its two predecessors in the Talera trilogy deliver.

The third Talera novel finishes the current storyline.
If you're a fan of this type of story and loved these three books, rejoice. Mr. Gramlich is working on the fourth novel, the first of a new cycle, this very summer.

I've never been a sword and planet fan, but I did enjoy this book and the entire Talera series. The action was fast and non-stop. The world was fully developed and the characters were well drawn.

Like always, Charles Gramlich writes another stellar book.

I started writing Witch of Talera a few months after Wings Over Talera was serialized. The magazine editors wanted another book, partly because the first two had won reader's choice awards for the issues where they were published. I got about half way through it before family issues came up and I had to put it on hold. By the time I got back to it and finished it up, the magazine was actually on its last legs and the work was first published in book form.

This is the Kindle edition of this book. Because of the way Goodreads and Amazon are changing things, I needed to give this book a rating so that it would be "rescued." I honestly do feel it's a five star book, but take into account it is mine. :)
