“Tell me what happened?” Laura leans forward in her chair, placing her elbows on a big, cherry wood desk. Her chin resting lightly on her hands as she waits for the answer. An answer she knows she might not get. She saw girls like this more than she should. They always thought they had got it all together, till they don’t. Till that minute comes and they are shattering into a million pieces and all they want is to be put back together.
“I ran the red light.” Payton’s voice is a perfect combination of boredom and annoyance.
“Do you remember anything before or after the accident Payton?” Laura heard this answer so many times that it doesn’t surprise her anymore, and in a few cases, they were telling the truth, but this time it is not the case.
“No.” Payton’s head shakes side to side “Not really”. Her hands are in constant movement and she picks on her hot pink nail polish.
Laura nods her head in understanding and smiles at her, thinking that this damaged girl in front of her is going to be a challenge.

I'm a mother, a wife and a friend. I'm a chauffeur, a cook, and everything else that my kids ask me to be by day, but I put my magic hat on at night and become what I cherish most-a writer.
I'm a hopeless romantic that still believes in a fairy tales, even though not everybody gets them.
I'm a owner of dirty mouth that often gets me in trouble.
I think boundaries are there to be broken, and I definitely broke more than one and I plan on breaking them as I go forward. YOU should try it sometimes, it's fun!
I've been avid reader since I can remember and always had stories in my head, till I decided to put them on paper and share them with you, so you can take a glimpse inside my head and join my ride !
