An exciting new book that offers in-depth insight into the art of packaging and the technology behind some of the world's most complicated designs. Structural Packaging is divided into three chapters, and progressively works through each example from the simplest and most economical, to the highly complex and most expensive. Each project is accompanied by color photographs of the package itself, an explanation of the production process and a picture of the die. There is also a description of the function of the package and the materials used in its fabrication.
Fabulous array of packaging solutions with the basic layout of their templates shown alongside their photographs. Also useful is the outlining of the stock, materials and processes used to produce them. Not really keen on the super thick hardback cover though—really does add unnecessary bulk, although it does contribute to the idea of showcasing different processes involved in production and conceptualisation.
