Book 2 sees Mihail and Abe getting closer and closer to the castles secrets. Mihails' Grandmother refuses to leave the castle and Mihail has no option but to stay there with her. But with the ghosts and spirits getting more restless and other things happening, Mihail knows it's not safe for anyone to live there. Would a blessing from a priest help? Mihail and Abe go in search of answers.

I simply adore Abe and Mihail! Both are such amazing characters. Mihail is still as scared as ever but he is also able to overcome his fear and help his friend when it's needed. I also have to say that I love Abes' parents, and want them as my own!! ;) Abe is one of my absolute favourites though. He is strong, kind, funny and above all, a good friend.

The plot of this one again only answers some of the questions I have but I can feel a resolution of sorts coming!! I'm seeing certain characters are showing their true colours at last, though Mihail still can't see it! Secrets have an uncanny way of not staying secret for long and boy are there some secrets here!! I'm diving straight into book 3 because I'm anxious to see what happens!

In all, a chilling and addicting read. It may not be as bloody or brutal as some of the horror I've read before, but this one gets under your skin and there were times where I had to pause and take in where the story was going. Give me more of Mihail and Abe!!!!

Thom Bowers always gives a great performance and this is no exception. His tones and voices make the story and characters come to life and he was clear and easy to follow.

I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

This book wasn't quite as good as the first one. I really didn't start getting into the story until about 1/2 way through it. I did like the ending and how things wrapped up. Abe is still my favorite character. I look forward to the 3rd and last one in this series. I want to see how things progress for Mihail.

Awesome! I love Mihail and Abe's relationship. at this point who should he believe? His grandmother or his new friend abe and abe's parents all is not what it seems too many secrets and not enough info for Mihail and too much to process all at once for him. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily choose to reveiw.

The story of Mihail, Abe and Bunita continue with the ghosts and demons. This is book two in the series and to fully appreciate this book I recommend that you read/listen to book one first. You will enjoy it, too. You have Mihail living with his grandma for his senior year to help her out. Then you find out she is full of secrets and lies.. As the story goes it is getting more evil and stranger/scary. The plot line is so good and and the flow is getting better. The characters are so interesting and the way it is written believable. Abe's parents debut in this book which adds interest. You continue with darker moments. Thom Bowers does an amazing job with the narration. I am looking forward to book three.

The saga of Mihail and Abe continues with Buried. The spirits vanquished in Book One return with a vengeance to stake their claims on the souls of all they encounter. It is left to Mihail and Abe to stop them, but how? The price, as they soon discover, may be far more than they bargained for. Somewhere in the Romanian castle that Mihail calls home is something that these spirits resides in and Mihail believes he knows what and where it is.
The excellent narration of Thom Bower adds much to this tale. He is able to vocalize so many different characters and injects the local dialects featured in the book. It is a great story and I can't wait to get to the third book in the series.

His home holds secrets, and his grandmother seems to be holding even more. As Mihail learns more about the secrets in the castle, he begins to suspect what his grandmother is holding back - and his friend Abe is sure that she is nothing good.

This was a good read, and I am ready to see where the third installment takes this series.

DNF @ 30%

The narrator ruined it for me. I won't continue with the rest unless I get them on ebook or paperback.

Awesome. We have all our favorite characters, but a little more detail on Bunica and Abe. The story itself is fast paced and really great. The backstory for some of the main players and the tension between Abe and Bunica was amazing! I can't wait for the next installment of the series.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
