DCBB 2015. The sea; it swallows me. It comes up to my knees and it swallows me. The boys owe Jody a few dozen favours, and so when her niece goes missing near an old fishing village on the coast of Maine, Dean, Sam, and a newly human Castiel agree to take the case on. They settle into an old abandoned lighthouse-keepers' cottage, and slowly the tide comes in. (post-s8)
Greatest fan fiction I've ever read. I don't even want to call it that, because it's so well-written this could easily have been a published book. You're drawn in, taken into a world so far away and yet so close it's hard to snap out of. It's a work of art. My words don't do it justice; all I can say is it must've been 5 years since I've read it, and it's still on my mind today.
Is it weird that this is probably my favourite piece of horror ever? genuinely this is incredible. I laughed I cried (happy AND sad) I was seriously spooked, I had no idea what was happening. I’ve read this 3x now and it still hasn’t lost its edge. this is the type of horror I love the most- the questioning reality, hallucinating vs dreams vs reality stuff. oh god the scene at the salt church (and also in the cabin) and when they drive to the lighthouse (and are also in the cave) BROOOOO incredible phenomenally written. I love this with all my heart and I truely hope it was a dream at the end but knowing this author…it probably wasn’t. english teachers would love this ending and so do I.
