KIDS THESE DAYS!!!

The seventh volume in Junjo Romantica did a bit of switch in this one. Misaki and Usagi weren’t the lead couple in this one; don’t get me wrong I didn’t mind at all. This was Junjo Terro*ist dealing with Shinobu and Miyagi a relationship thats a bit complicated, the odds are against them.

Shinobu is 17 and Miyagi is 35, oh noooo talk about against the law, but in this its little Shinobu who was the aggressor he decided that Miyagi was gonna be his no matter what, did I mention that Miyagi use to be his brother-in-law, yeh Drama. The relationship aint exactly peaches and creams, they have to overcome a lot and deal with their feelings dead on come to the conclusion that whats right fails in comparison when it comes to love. I can’t wait to read the next instalment.

We get one chapter of my fave couple Misaki and Usagi and it’s a doozy. Mi still refuses to admit his feelings to Usagi and that’s causing a strain. Seems that someone else wants Usagi and M chooses that moment to state that he belongs to him, when someone else wants your things you tend to realize the value, but they still have a long way to go. Its all denial and hot sex in the Junjo.

We get a few pages of Hiroki and Miwaki and those two are still crazy. I can’t say how much i love this series, so funny with some hot guy action. I love that this shows that with homosexuality it’s not always about promiscuity, there’s also love and commitment. Love it.

AMO A JUNJOU TERRORIST!

Repeated review.

The only thing this manga has going for it is the story, what little of it that actually exists. The yaoi relationships are toxic as hell, which happens very often in yaoi and for why? Sexual assault on a minor, which results in unexpected romance? Hell no. What was wrong with you, younger me? Did you just want the smut back then? Lord…

This volume starts off with three Junjo Terrorist stories. It's hard to believe that Miyagi and Shinobu have been "together" for months without Miyagi fully accepting what they are. It's cruel how much he kept Shinobu at arms length , especially knowing how much Shinobu loved him. It's only after Shinobu decided to end things that Miyagi realized how much he loves him. These three stories cover what happens after that realization.

On a side note: I gotta say I really love this couple. It makes me happy that they actually acknowledge their feelings and aren't afraid to tell the other how they feel. No offense to Hiroki and (especially) Misaki but all that tsundere bs gets a little annoying after a while.

The Romantica and Egoist stories were pretty good as well. We finally get to see what Sumi's true feelings regarding Usami are. We also see just how much Usami regrets forcing himself on Misaki the first they met. Does that action explain why Misaki is so reluctant to tell him he loves him? Is that why he acts so uncomfortable around him? Personally, I don't think so but maybe that's what he thinks. It was a good volume, mostly because of the Terrorist story. They are rivaling Misaki and Usami as my favorite couple.

This one was more concentrated on the Junjou Terrorist couple, Miyagi and Shinobu :)
One of the highlights were, for me, Shinobu's "manly tears" :D

Miyagi finally admits to loving Shinobu and he's ready to move beyond his past. Miyagi is Shinobu's first love, he doesn't know how to express all of his overwhelming emotions. Miyagi described him perfectly, "He's so aggressive, but such a coward." He yells about love and destiny but blushes just reaching for Miyagi's hand. They are so combustable when together, always yelling and fighting but loving fiercely. Shinobu moves in next door to Miyagi, can't wait to see what trouble that brings.
Misaki and Usami's story a little darker then usual. Usami is overprotective, Misaki feels suffocated. Sumi's real motives are revealed, he's in love with Usami and wants him. Something Sumi says hits a nerve with Usami and he turns all dark and brooding.

It still bothers me Misaki and Usagi's abusive relationship; I really hope Usagi gives Misaki more space in the future. Also, I want to know what the hell is going on with Hiroki and Nowaki. We're getting all this background info (Kamijou's parents wtf?!) and miscommunication, but it isn't explained further (yeah, they're my favorite pairing so-)

On the other hand, I'm glad this volume was Shinobu/Miyagi-centered. Plot-wise, they're the most interesting couple and have yet to learn how to do this whole "weird, barely-legal relationship".

Oh my God I love this volume sooo much! The Terrorist arc was front and center and there are ridiculous declarations of love and happiness all around after the sadness that ended the last volume. In the show, I actually cried on this part. However, even though this arc was the main focus of this volume, my favorite parts came from Romantica. This pairing is everything. I love how funny Misaki is and Usagi is my favorite Seme character next to Takano. The ending is just hilarious too. Ugh, best volume yet.

The whole "Junjo Romantica" series, which includes at least two related series, "Junjo Egoist" and "Junjo Terrorist," is a case of, I'm reading it, and in places actually enjoying it--but at times not sure why.

Miyagi and Shinobu finally get on the same page - it's a miracle. Sumi-senpai's true character is revealed (possibly?)! I love how surprised Usagi is by everything. The short little bit for Nowaki and Hiroki warmed the heart.
