The steeper the slopes, the higher the stakes.

Rebel

I don’t want a lot out of life, but what I do want is simple. A successful alpine racing career, great friends, and an amazing, loyal husband. My gut tells me it’s all within reach, especially now I’ve met a certain someone. Rhett Keane. Okay, so he’s quiet… and a little negative, but a deep instinct tells me he’s “The One.” Spending time together up at the Lodge, tucked away in a romantic mountain setting… perfection!

But just when I thought Elle and Ethan had tied up all those crazy threads down in the Village, weird stuff starts happening to us. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I even feel like I’m being followed…

Rhett

I’m perfectly happy on my own. I tried the whole relationship thing and the wounds have only just healed. At first I wasn’t sure why Rebel Berg was spending so much time with me. It’s not like I’m some kind of charity case. I swear… I’m fine alone. But when I finally open my heart, I realize how much better I am with her.

As much as I wanted to avoid all the drama from the Village, it seems to have followed us here. After a couple scary close-calls, I’m convinced. A group or person has targeted the Unity Games. My only priority now is to keep Rebel safe, and if that means leaving, so be it. I hope we don’t run out of time before we can make it off this mountain…

Mind games, heart palpitations and adventures in love are the driving force behind Silver, book 2 in the Dangerous Games series. Ms. Huxley creates an adrenaline rush with Rebel and Rhett. A thirst for speed has them on the verge of something spectacular. A high octane career, love of the slopes and a chance to leave their mark on a dangerous sport and each other's hearts. What happens when the chance of a lifetime, turns into a race for your life? Silver is an intricately, intriguing thriller. It can steal breath as easily as it can tempt a heart. But it always keeps you guessing until the bitter end.

Book two in the series focuses on Rebel and Rhett. Two people that no one would think to pair up, but somehow they work. As in the first book, this story is a slow build, but the action is non-stop. Weird things keep happening, relationships are built and tested while the small group tries to figure out what is going on behind the scenes of the Unity games. The ending is heart pounding and ends in a cliffhanger. What happens next is anyone’s guess. Will the sabotager be revealed? Can't wait for Gold.

Second book in the series and you won't be disappointed!
Rebel, Hadley, Claire, Rhett, Hunter, Darren, Pheonix, Penny and others have left behind Elle and Ethan to go to the Mountain Lodges for the next part of the Unity Games. Elle and Ethan tell them to look out for and look after themselves.
On the bus Rebel saved a seat just in case a certain someone gets on the same bus and luckily he does! When Rhett gets on she shouts there's a spare seat next to her.
At Rhett's race a man gets shot just before the finishing line and Rhett claims 2nd place! In Rebels race she has a nasty accident but this is her error nothing sinister.
A blizzard stops Elle and Ethan getting to the mountain lodge and cancels all sports.
When the bus comes to rescue them they all board but this book to take another twist.
Adele what a cliffhanger!!! What has Penny got on her laptop? Is she trying to ruin the games?
I'm really enjoying this series and can't wait for Gold! Adele nice mention of Bryan Marsh - The Blizzard (another excellent series)

WOW! I thought Bronze was exciting, but Silver took it up a notch! And while it's about a different couple in the Dangerous Games series, I'm saying YOU MUST READ Bronze FIRST, as each book keeps adding new layers to the big mystery with each couple's story. Silver is about Rebel, the girl who wants a successful alpine racing career, great friends, and a loyal husband. And she believes she's met that man at The Unity Games, Rhett Keane. Yeah, he can be a bit quiet, & negative, but her gut tells her, he's her person. And the more time they actually spend together, the more she realizes she's right. But then weird things start to happen, even though she was sure that Elle & Ethan had fixed things. Now all of sudden things are taking scary turn, & even the quiet Rhett has taken notice. Again WOW! I'm more addicted than ever! More players are involved, and I'm becoming suspicious of quite a few of the colorful cast of secondaries (right or wrong). That's how insane the suspense factor has become! Rebel & Rhett are totally fun together as they are such opposites that it makes it highly entertaining, although, he does deserve one good junk punch for a douche decision he made. Adele Huxley turned up the insanity in Silver with twists that had my f-bomb dropping at peak levels of sound that's for sure, as I'm still not sure what the hell is going on. And while I added her to my list of author's trying to KILL ME DEAD hashtagging her #EVILWHORE forevermore at the end of Bronze, the ending of Silver, which was WAY WORSE BTW, has upgraded her hashtag to #EVILWHOREQUEEN! I NEED GOLD SOONER THAN I NEED A NEW BRONCOS HEAD COACH AS I'M DYING! Yes, I'm that dramatic but I'm fully invested by this #EVILWHOREQUEEN'S brilliantly addictive writing style, and need more like krispy kreme donuts! So guess what?! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Silver is a great addition to this already wonderful series! This one is about Rebel and Rhett. Rebel is a phenomenal athlete, but she is even a better person. She also considers other people’s feelings, and she always tries to include others. In the first book, she was greatly responsible for Claire coming out of her shell. I always thought she had a crush on Rhett in the first book, and I was right. She thinks Rhett could be “the one.” However, that might be hard because Rhett doesn’t interact much with others. He is quiet and keeps mostly to himself. Rebel may just be the woman to change that. He finds himself feeling things he hasn’t felt before. Those feelings grow the more time they spend together. But, danger lurks around every corner, so neither may survive to finally get the HEA they so deserve.

Huxley raises the suspense even more in Silver. More dangerous and suspicious things are happening. The mystery deepens, and again, I thought I knew what direction the book was going, and Huxley would pull out another surprise. I LOVED it!!!! I’m not sure which characters to trust.

The romance, mystery, and suspense were a perfect combination. While the story between Rebel and Rhett was heating up, the author was also building up two more potential romances. Not many writers can do that without taking away from the central story, but Huxley added to it. And, the ending…..WOW!!! She definitely has me waiting on the next book. Thank goodness it won’t be long!!!!

The second in the series, this is every bit as engaging as I had expected.
Having read the first book Bronze, I thought that the author would be ramping up the angst and attitude in this book as she builds up not just the anticipation but the intrigue as we hurtle toward Gold and boy, did she!
There is so much going on that it took everything I had to try and get my head around everything that was happening, and some of them still sucker punched me!
I liked Rhett and Rebel and I really liked the fact that they both had the opportunity to let me know exactly what they were thinking and feeling, told for duel points of view I think this perspective was perfect and gave me a totally immersive feeling as the chapters disappeared.
Anyway, what about Rhett and Rebel, well if you are anything like me you will find that the connection between the two of them was totally engaging, they were the complete antithesis of each other and for many they really should not have worked together, but they quite simply did, and it was fabulous.
With cameo appearances from many of the characters that I was familiar with from the first book, I felt the series really starting to pull together (and like any great story there is one character that you will just end up saying WTF…Penny is that woman for me!) and I am actually looking forward to when the next book is out, and I can read them all back to back, I think that will be epic.

Silver is the second book in the Dangerous games series and I loved it!! I was drawn into this story so easily and had the hardest time putting it down!!

I met Rebel in the first book as a side character, but this was her book and It. Was. Great! Rebel appears to the outside world as a happy, bubbly woman with not a care in the world. However, that is not the case. She has her eyes and heart set on her teammate Rhett who couldn’t be more opposite of her. While she’s outgoing and often the peacekeeper among their funky group of friends, he’s quiet, withdrawn and can often be deemed a “jerk”.

I absolutely, positively LOVED Rebel! If she were real, I would want to be her friend! She has such a great heart and a genuine care for those close to her. She has great determination and goes after what she wants and what she wants is Rhett. While Rhett is quite complex, it’s understandable why he acts the way he does and how he reacts to situations. With all the mysterious and dangerous happenings at the Unity Games, it’s not difficult to see why these two are drawn together.

I genuinely and truly enjoyed Silver!! The characters were well written and the storyline takes you on many twists and turns making it very difficult to put down. I am looking forward to book 3 in the series, Gold.

This is the second book in Adele Huxley's Dangerous Games series. Book one, Bronze, needs to be read first as this is a continuation.
Silver picks up on the bus ride up the mountain and focuses on Rhett and Rebel. Claire, Charles, Phoenix, Hadley, Hunter and Penny figure in as well. Ethan and Elle even have cameos.
As the Unity Games continue, accidents continue to happen and Rebel feels like she's being watched. Rhett and Rebel start connecting but their separate histories hinder them. Even though they start trying to unravel the mysteries behind all the drama happening, Rhett just wants to get home and keep Rebel safe. Penny, Claire and Charlie are working with them.
Rhett is flagged for drugs in his system and Rebel isn't able to complete her event. With hopes of winning dwindling, things only get worse. Penny betrays the group, a blizzard strands them, and the group of friends turn on each other. But the bus ride down the mountain changes everything.
Once again, Adele has written a compelling and complex story that leaves you hanging on and biting your nails. Can't wait for Gold!

This is the second book of The Dangerous Games series and it is getting more mysterious as we go and now I really cannot wait for Gold!!! This book follows Rhett and Rebel more and we get to know them more intimately. And I love them!!! I love the dynamics between them and how they are completely opposite of each other. But will these opposites work out? And what’s the deal with Penny?? I really want to know her deal!! And I love how so far even though this books seem to focus on one couple you still get all the gang from the first book in it. And that brings this book all together. I love the cross between the romance and the drama and the mystery all wrapped up in to one book. I love the double povs as well! So far my only complaint with these books is sometimes you have to focus for a minute to figure out who is actually talking. But it’s not enough to take away from it. I would definitely recommend this book but you really need to read Bronze first to understand the full story. - By Tina

I liked Silver better than Bronze. It was more action packed and the mystery really amped up. The characters still are kinda flat feeling with the whole instantly in love with somebody and constant partying loop that was also so prevalent in book one.

I'm curious what's going on in Phoenix's head, I didn't trust the reporter in book one and she's made that even more so now, the whole Hadley/Hunter thing is getting a bit overly dramatic, Rebel is clingy and Rhett a cold fish......
I know this is all to build mystery and suspense, though at times it made me root for the bad guys to win just to end them.

The shooting, the deaths so far, the disappearances, and especially the scene on the bus heading down the mountain are what really hold me to this series.

Regardless of how shallow the characters are, the mystery of what's really going on at the Games has me coming back for more, and awaiting Gold.

Wow Silver ends on a doozie of a cliffhanger! I really enjoyed reading this book. I think the Bronze set up Silver so you do need to read the first book in the Dangerous Games Series.

The setting for this series is kind of like the Winter Olympics called the Unity Games. Where these very competitive men and women are all in Italy for two weeks. They compete for a LOT of money.

There is a lot of suspense surrounding these games and a lot of romancing going on too. Elle and Ethan from Bronze stay down in the village and in Silver the story takes them up the mountain for Rebel Berg and Rhett Keane’s sport takes them.

Silver held my attention and I gobbled this book up! Now I can’t wait for Gold to come out. Fortunately, not to long of a wait. Gold will be out at the end of January.

I give 4.5 stars to Silver

This is the second book in the series and my favourite so far, I couldn’t put it down once I started. This is Rebel and Rhetts story, teammates but the total opposite of each other, Rebel is outgoing and the life and soul of the party. Rhett is a quiet, brooding, swoon worthy man! I loved how they fell hard, how we get to see another side to Rhett and get more of an understanding of him. Rebel was a surprise too, the further you get in the book we get to peel some of her layers back and we see there’s a lot more to her. The reader is thrown straight into the story, there are more twists and turns, just when you think you have it figured out, there’s another twist!! I was kept on the edge of my seat the whole way through, I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

The second story from this series follows Rhett and Rebel as they went into the mountains to continue their Unity games sports. They are complete opposites but it's said that opposites attract and these two had sparks flying..... I'm surprised they didn't melt the snow with the heat coming from them !!.
Unfortunately the trouble and disastrous events followed them
I love the whole storyline in these books . The passion for each other as well as their sports, the banter ,but most of all the mystery and suspense....the whole who dunnit scenario has me on the edge of my seat and I'm hungry for more!,
Never mind the scenery, warm fires and hot chocolate, I need the next instalment!!
Great read!!

Silver picks up where Bronze left off. Loved Bronze and love Silver even more. You have to read Bronze before Silver, because if you don’t the story just doesn’t seem to click and will leave you wondering, This book is About Rebel and Rhett. Two complete opposites. But you know what they say…opposites attract. This story builds up slowly but when it takes off, you cannot turn the pages fast enough only to find you have another of a doozy cliffhanger. I definitely recommend this series to everyone. I received this book as an ARC and voluntarily chose to leave a review. This is my honest opinion of this book.

3 1/2 Stars!

Silver is book two in The Dangerous Games series. This one focuses on Rhett and Rebel. Rhett and Rebel seem to be completely opposite of each other but they work good together. I liked them but not as much as I like Elle and Ethan. As the romance heats up between Rhett and Rebel the mystery is still there and unfolding. I liked that the mystery is still building. Rhett and Rebel weren't my favorite but the drama and mystery of what is going on at the Unity games kept me hooked.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book for my honest opinion.
I thought Bronze was a good book but then I read Silver and each book just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait until Gold is out because I bet it’ll be explosive. I’m not really into any kind of sports romance but Bronze and Silver are so well written that they’ve left me hungry for more.. If you haven’t read any of Adele Huxley’s books well get to it because I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed in any of her books. She’s very good at weaving her stories.

Silver is the second book in the Dangerous Games series. While Ethan and Elle stay down in the Village. Most of the others move to the top of the mountains. Rebel and Rhett thought they had left all the mysteries in the village but it seems they followed them along with a severe snowstorm. The storm has everyone stuck and more unexplained things start to happen. This was another can’t put down read by Adele Huxley. I can’t wait to read Gold and see where she will take all of this.

Silver is an awesome continuation with Rebel's & Rhett's story. Rebel knows what she wants & that happens to be Rhett. Rhett doesn't want a relationship but that's not stopping Rebel. They are both competing at the Unity Games. When strange things are still happening there, Rhett is going to do everything he can to protect Rebel. Can anyone figure out what is going on there? I can't wait for the the next book to find out what happens. I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC.

Huxley delivers with the second book of the series, Silver.

The characters are dynamite with a depth that is only achieved by a great author. This steamy romantic suspense novel is action packed from the first page and leaves you breathless with anticipation at the end. For greater enjoyment, read Bronze first.

I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romantic suspense genre.

Be prepared for a cliffhanger of an ending!! You won't know who to trust throughout this book. I love the fact that this story centers around two different winter sports events then Bronze did. Rhett and Rebel have great chemistry, can't wait to read Gold!!

Reviewed on behalf of Amo's book corner

This is a really interesting storyline. This is the second book in the Dangerous games series.

There's Rhett and Rebel who are in italy to participate in the Unity games. But there are people missing and Rebel often thinks she’s being followed. One of the biathlon men are shot and then they disappear. All is not what it appears. Something is not right and some of the athletes try to figure out just what is going on.

Along the way Rebel and Rhett fall in love, Rhett is the kind of person who is shy and timid.

This one has quite a few twists and turns which make it interesting. You’ve got to fall in love with Rhett .... despite his quiet and serious manner Rebel finds him incredibly attractive. Despite her bestie Hadley warning her to stay away from him, she doesn’t. I love the characters in this series and can't wait to read more of them.

This one ends on a MASSIVE cliffhanger so be warned!!!
