The most beautiful costumes from the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, seen in every detail: collars, gloves, lace, buttons, plastrons, pleats, shoes ... The book features costumes made between the seventeenth and twentieth century. Grand costumes, requiring huge work. A general view of the costume is presented, as well as a drawing (pattern). Because it is in these that all the finesse of the work done by artisans is noticeable. The Victoria & Albert Museum has one of the finest collections of costumes, fabrics and patterns in the world. An essential work for all fashion enthusiasts.
An indispensable book for a historical fiction writer!
