When race car mechanic Charlyse Cruise gets invited to the Grand Prix kickoff party of the year, she can’t believe her luck. It isn’t long before popular playboy race car driver and team owner, Tyler Dalton, of Dalton Enterprises, spots her at the party. Her voluptuous curves, dark fiery hair, and dimpled smile immediately has him gravitating in her direction. He willingly drags her away from the party, and soon, the two are locked in a sexy, explosive tryst.
On impulse, Tyler convinces her to accompany him to NASCAR in Las Vegas. Without a second thought, she hops in his Bugatti and finds herself on her way to the big race with him. Things seem to heat up and then suddenly, drastically cool down once they reach the sparkling lights of the city that never sleeps.
How’s a girl supposed to move on when she has no idea what she’s done wrong? Finicky, gorgeous billionaires… who has time for their games? She just hopes what happens in Vegas, really does stay in Vegas.
Candi Heart writes funny, sassy, and swoon-worthy romance that will leave you with a smile on your face and a sigh on your lips. She knows big, beautiful girls need love too, and enjoys writing about them finding their happily-ever-afters with sexy alphas from all walks of life.
Lorddd first chapter she was looking to diet plans (ugh).. i honestly thought Char was going to own her curves.. and what makes it worse when Tyler turned into a asshole for no real reason (he got cold feet) she thought it was her weight.. when he loved every inch of her.. -___- it just annoyed me. the only good thing i loved was her leaving his ass when he was a dick towards her... DON'T TAKE ANY SHIT BOO! it was just a messy book to me.. even the "break up" part was kinda boring :(
I do wanna check out one more book of this author I wont write it off yet.. I gave it a star for the Curvy gal on the cover!!
Recommended- Maybe Cover- ⭐⭐⭐
No ow/om drama , no cheating, drama, sexy time, no virgins
Slow-insta love push/pull from H seperation (few weeks Best friend kissed her to get back at his ex-girlfriend & Tyler went to see a stripper that was dancing for him.. nothing else happened all were faithful.) HFN

Welp, my Formula 1 group chat read this book for funsies earlier in the fall, and uh, it led to...a lot of heated discussion. We were all in complete agreement that this book was doing The Utter Most, and the fact that it ended on such a problematic note did not help matters.
There's also a sex scene in a fun house after taking part in a pie-eating contest, which is a scenario I never want to think about ever again.
It's months later and I still don't know what I read.
Content warning: Fatphobia, internalized misogyny, normalizing unhealthy weight loss and calorie counting, slut-shaming
I like a BBW story but our leading lady flip flopped between owning it and wanting to diet. I like the books where they own it and wear it proudly. I liked both main characters (mostly) but I didn't feel an overwhelming connection with them. I also felt there were some potential plot lines that weren't explored.
Love love love a well told curvy tomboy story! Glad that the main character wasn’t completely down on herself the whole book with just a touch of self consciousness.
Where do I even begin with this one?? First off, the 'Curvy Hips' enticed me because there's not enough romance novels out there that has a curvy lead, however, within the first chapter we see her looking a diet website?? It was really confusing on how Charlyse viewed herself, one minute she was confident, loving how she looked in skin tight dresses, and then the next she's insecure and needs to hide and go on a diet? Doesn't send a very good message.
Secondly, I love NASCAR, this is the main reason why I wanted to read this book and I was very disappointed that they didn't even get to the track (and don't even get me started on how wrong the terminology is).
There was seriously no reason for Tyler to act like a douche. He should have continued to act like a man who knows what he wants and not shy away from that, NO MATTER HOW REAL THINGS GET.
Also? Do I need to change careers because these mechanics go to a lot of parties.
I wanted to really like this book because I love the idea of a billionaire racer/owner who falls for the plus size girl but this was not that.
2.5 stars. I wanted to like this book but it was so short that it couldn't really get into why they worked well together. I also really didn't like how often the main character referred to other women as whores, bimbos, sluts, etc. It was especially souring to me because most of the women she was saying it about were complete strangers (aside from Colton's ex). It's super immature given that she's supposed to be 26 (seriously most women I know got over that portion of internalized misogyny by 21 at the very latest).
I also thought the resolution was too quick.
Plus I found it a little eye rolling that of course the book had to end with her losing 20lbs. I find it's so hard to find a book with a plus sized woman that doesn't end or focus on weight loss. We are more than the weight we are or the weight we lose, want to lose, or don't want to lose. That was a smaller issue I had but it still bugged me.
Just one of those stories that you’d have loved to rate more but can’t as although I enjoyed some bits other bits just seem to drag. Also some bits just doesn’t feel right.
Sorry but, this is just 3 stars for effort for me..
Sighs, I hate reviews I read or write that start with, I really wanted to like this but.... Yeah, that NEVER sounds quite sincere even when it is,indie want to but I just couldn’t like this forced insincere mess.... Tyler and Charlyse never felt like REAL separately and especially not together , everything thing between them felt rushed and fake, Char felt like she couldn’t say not to Tyler because he was sooooo sexy and because he was Tyler Dalton and Tyler just HAD to have her because she was sexy and fun and just a normal girl ... It was the kinda story where we are told these two have great chemistry and are drawn together and just “have to have the other” but I never felt it , it all just felt over the top and fake and very very rushed... I loved the idea of a woman having a guy as a best friend and one that wasn’t gay, because one ) the gay best friend just feels soo been there done that it’s almost cliche ( at least to me ) and just think it’s a cool idea, even if he did come off as a complete wuss and a doormat .... And towards the end when Tyler pushes her away for the break up part of the book, like everything else it felt about fake as the flavor in a Diet Coke ( or any diet drink foe that matter)... Felt good to see a BBW to felt mostly comfy in her own skin, even thou when things seem to go south w/Tyler her 1st thought is to start a new diet she’d considered before things started w/the H .... Even though she seemed to know Tyler had his issues, going on a “diet” seemed to be the solution to her problem because she’s a bigger woman... Yeah, no..... BS Girl meets guy,guy is soo full of himself in his head and with her, he was soo cheesy he needed crackers or a sandwich to be in,guy and girl go off on a very rushed whirl wind romance on a car trip from Austin to Vegas, after a few days of fun he gets cold feet acts like a d bag, h does the only thing I respect in the WHOLE book and leaves not willing to take his behavior... Though a note would have made some sense... Neither he or she seem all that heart broken over it, minor things happen, eventually he makes a pathetic plea to take him back and then basically then end And HappY. For. Now
2 1/2 stars foe me .. Was free but I still can’t wait to delete it...
I really try hard to discover those stories that read more than just lust and with shorter books it really challenges not only me but the author. This one did have that first steamy intimacy that was too abrupt for my taste but I understand she was trying to make it sexier in her attempt. It is written with the characters just expecting a one time thing and move on, however, neither one understand why the magnetism has such a strong pull.
Charlyse and Tyler both have bad relationships in their past. The thing that made the beginning a little less shallow was a simple country fair. On a whim they take a detour and spend the day at a fair. It took the cliche bad boy/modern woman mentality down to a more genuine time. There was just something that happened in those moments that made me like them better.
The scene in the funhouse felt too fast and out of place from the direction it seemed to be headed. Then the two spend more time together and it began to feel more natural once again. The conflict of the book happens and even the characters are both left scratching their heads. Wondering what just happened but when things begin to come back together you are left with a sweet story.
The idea Tyler was such a beast he only needed coffee to keep him going was not believable but I do appreciate an author who gets the point across of a strong, independent h. Much like my profile name implies i like my h feisty, outspoken, smart and willing to stand up for herself. I think we all should want that as well as the man to not always be a man whore. She got half right but this one also noted the h as to having a man she had on the side she used for booty calls as well.
Lastly there is no cheating once they meet, and some errors with using the wrong tense form of words are scattered throughout. Like the word changing instead of changed. That's just an example there was also a sentence that had the order of words in the sentence out of place. It's minimal and I did find this on the freebie list. Enjoy!
A cute contemporary romance novel with some steamy and racy scenes that will leave you feeling like you’re the one taking the curves in the sports car with the blood pumping in your ears. This novel has all the trappings of a romance book with the relationship front and centre. The icing on the cake is the racing world that colours the lives of Charlyse and Tyler, really revving some engines.
Charlyse is a fun character who is comfortable within herself. She is not directly described as plus sized but through the prose of the novel the reader can glean this information. I enjoyed the experience of not being told something straight up and reading between the lines. Charlyse is swept up into a relationship which leaves her reeling to regain control.
Tyler a rock steady and great romantic interest of a character. He definitely has his flaws and miscommunication and pulling back may be some of them. These two complement each other so well and it really shows on the track.
This is an engaging and quick romantic read with sexy times and strong, independent character. This is a great late night read to finish in one sitting. Let’s start your engines…
Charlyse Cruise was a BBW who was a very good mechanic at her father's shop and was especially good at race cars. Tyler Dalton was the billionaire owner of several race cars along with their drivers among other things. They meet at his gala and immediately fall into "something." These feelings seemed fake but they both acted on them going to Las Vegas the same night they meet. The journey to Las Vegas and experiences while there weren't believable.
The book was rated 4 flames but the sex was more like a 1 flame. It wasn't graphic or very descriptive of explicit. Just sex almost at first sight. The book was disappointing in that this BBW wasn't as confident in her body as was implied. She often thought of healthy eating and losing weight. Tyler wasn't the confident, alpha male as was written but more wishy washy about his feelings for Charlyse.
The plot was practically nonexistent. The characters were shallow and flat. The book was predictable and a little boring.
For being a very short story, this has all the elements you want in a sexy romance. The characters in this BBW love story were totally engaging and funny, witty, realistic in that like so many relationships they become bed buddies first then the true relationship starts. Odd but true. Although, Ty really tries to fight that portion of it as long as he can. He likes their sex and their friendship for sure. It’s the commitment that scares the daylights out of him. As for Char, she is a little worried she is not one to really date since high school because guys are jerks. Mainly they just want sex. So, she likes to be the one in charge of her life. She’s good at her job at her dad’s auto shop as a mechanic especially race cars. So, they don’t need to provide for her that is for sure. Yes, she has curves but it doesn’t stop her from getting or being asked out. She likes to be girly and “Victoria Secret” is her friend for her private wear. She loves her footwear too, the sexier the better. Just be aware some scenes will curl your toes but worth it. Free on Amazon. I give this: 5 stars.
What I love most about this story is that this is a woman that is full figure and was able to truly fall in love with a man that did not only love her for her body. He was not just into her because she was a full figured woman but he loved every inch of her body. This was an exceptional story because this man ever lifted her and judge her because she was a big woman. I wish this story had a little bit more to the story line I really dig in deep into who she was as a character. Overall I still think it was a pretty good book some of the grammar. But you did a great job, I will still love to read more of your books.
This book was a cute quick read. The moment Tyler saw her he knew she was the one but he never saw her before. He didn't know who she was but he was going to find out. Charlsye was a mechanic and really knew her cars as her father taught her everything she needed to know. She was invited the a party at the Dalton Enterprise Estate. She was excited to go as she was never been invited before. When she looked up and saw Tyler Dalton looking right at her she didn't know what to do. Why was he walking towards? Was he really interesting in talking to her? If you are looking for a quick read and a cute story then you will enjoy this book.
This the first book that I read from this author. i I really enjoyed it. I loved the storyline of a male and female being best friends. True love is developed slowly in the book and this just makes it more realistic. I don't want to give away the plot in my review. I will say the best friends are not lovers. Each one of them has a love life with a struggling romance. The book has a happy ending. I loved reading this book and I recommend you buy it. You will enjoy it.
"What a beautiful story. It had love, passion and romance but also some pain that's needed to realize what's in front of you. Tyler was adorable and I loved being inside his head but sometimes I wanted to slap him too lol. She was funny and easy going plus a great friend! Prove that a boy and a girl can be friends and nothing more. Anyway, it was a beautiful story with not the typical ending bit of course happily ever after guaranteed."
This story was pretty good. What is it with authors making the guys being a wussie? I like alpha men I guess. Tyler can be alpha some of the time or times not so much. Char is one fiery woman. I am just glad that she stands up to those a**holes. Colton needs to get rid of Alyssa, period. She is just a space cadet. Okay just to let you know whoever proof reads your books for errors needs replaced. Words are missing in some areas. The biggest error is when Zara calls Tyler Mr. Dawson instead of Mr. Dalton. Wow messed up. Okay thank you.
Good easy read. Not my genre, so it's hard to assess fairly.
This was a freebie on Amazon, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it or read. Very easy read, definitely not into romance novels, but I've been in a reading slump, so I thought I'd give it a try. We'll see it I pick up a new book tomorrow and actually finish it. My guess is that, if you do read romance, you'll enjoy. Happy Reading!!! Tim
Disappointed. That is how I feel about this book. It had so much potential that it never fully capitalizes on it. One of the main characters is Charlyse Cruise, a CURVY tomboy that like all other characters with this trait is too self conscious and unconfident. And while Tyler Dalton, a hot shot playboy race car driver initially falls in lust with Charlyse, he soon falls victim to the common tropes of most male characters by magically becoming a temporary douche and treating the love interest like crap. I understand there needs to be device to drive the plot but come on! Not a book I'd re-read or honestly recommend to others. The upside is at this time the book is free to read via amazon. So as a freebie its ok. *I will note that this book does not deter me from reading future works of this author.
I was looking forward to reading this book, I have already read Sweet Treats in the series and really enjoyed the book and it's style so was expected the same or a.but more judging by the flames that have been given for the rating of the hotness but I did struggle to stay interested. There wasn't enough passion between the main characters to take much of a liking, I finished it but was counting how many chapters I had left. Could have been a lot hotter.
The first part of their story was good but then the MMC, Tyler, decided to self-sabotage resulting in himself and the FMC, Charlyse, not speaking for at least a third of the book. Also her adopted brother/best friend randomly decided to express his feelings for Charlyse and it just felt wrong.
There was also one point where Tyler and Charlyse raw dogged without talking about about it beforehand which is honestly just irresponsible. I know it’s fiction but still

I loved this story. I love being able to read BBW books where the woman is not made to be ashamed of her body. This was an exceptional story because the man never once looked at her and thought that she was a big woman. He only thought about how much he cared about her. I love how Charlyse loved her curves and only wanted to get healthier.
I really enjoyed this quick read and liked how the author showed Charlyse and Tyler getting closer as they took their unexpected road trip. I do feel the story needed to be longer as some parts felt a little rushed or needed explaining more. I'd definitely read the author's other books though and I'll be checking them out!
She works for her dad as a mechanic and he fell hard for her at 1st sight. Going to Vegas and having fun plus he had to work some. He gotten scared about his feeling and talked himself in ending it. He was a real dick. They both tried to put their lives back in order but didn't work and he finally woke up about her, that she's the real thing.
Cute little story. Great characters and secondary characters. Would love to see a story about Colt. I liked that the conflict was resolved quickly. The only thing that I would say was a little off was that she lost weight. I thought she was happy with her image and so was he. But other then that it was a good read. Would recommend.
