The Star Wars Forces of Destiny initiative celebrates the inspiring stories of iconic heroes from a galaxy far, far away....
Star Wars Adventures has joined the festivities with an exciting weekly series of comic books that explores all corners of the Star Wars universe, showing how choices both big and small ultimately shape the destinies of beloved characters, such as Princess Leia, Rey, Padme, Ahsoka, and Hera along with your soon-to-be favorites from The Last Jedi, Rose and Paige!
Fans will be excited to discover these stories told by talent from across Star Wars novels, comics and animation, including Delilah S. Dawson, Elsa Charretier, Beth Revis, Jody Houser, and Devin Grayson!
This one was just a simple retelling of the animated version of the two episodes. It wasn't bad but, I hoped we would get to see something more here. That didn't happen. The art was good, unlike in other Star Wars comic books.
Disappointed that this is just an adaptation of Forces of Destiny episodes "Sands of Jakkuu" and "BB-8 Bandits." At least the artwork is better here than in those episodes.
This is just a rehash of two cartoons, which have already been left-overed into two other chapter books. Would it be so hard to come up with SOME new content on Rey? Apparently, yes?
In this issue, we see Rey on Jakku just trying to make a living off of the junk she finds. When a rogue BB-8 droid gets caught up in a fiasco, Rey can't help but to save him. Of course, there are creatures under the sand who eat metal, so they have to be careful when traversing the sands. Others find the BB-8 droid to be very valuable, but Rey protects it no matter what.
