Sherryl grew up in San Diego, California the youngest of three. She began making up stories as a teenager. Working for the State of California at the Department of Justice taught her the inner workings of law enforcement. Her first stories centered around law enforcement situations. She married her husband and had two children. She continued writing and attempted to be published. When an agent returned her submission for the third time she gave up. Always the romantic, the stories came with a vengeance after marrying her wife. Her biggest fan, (other than her mother) her wife, Tirzah, decided these needed to be published. First self-published then contacted by a publisher this is a dream come true for Sherryl.
What can you say about a book that you start at 10:pm and finish at 12:45am - I could not put this down!!! Ms Hancock writing was damn near perfect - The back story was heartbreaking, the present story was one that gave you everything you could want, sex, drugs, jealousy, angst ( all done right) and supporting characters that you want to read about NOW. I loved that Brendan (BJ) is 37 & Allexxiss (yes 2 L's 2X's & 2 S's) is 35, also intriguing was the time periods of the story 1979 is when we first meet Brendan and Allexxiss, 1998 is the current time period of the story - I loved that!! I don't know how long until the next book in this series (PLEASE be about Devlin) but it can't come soon enough for me.
Blurb: Brenden James O’Malley has the perfect life.

This book had a great storyline, she brilliantly weaved a story that was more than just a dimple love story. It had many complex relationships in it, all written without extra filler that wasn't needed. First 5 star read of 2018!
18 years of heartache......that's a long time to wait or reunite with the one whom holds the key to your heart. This book was really well written. I loved the characters, well except maybe a few pompous you know what's lol!! 18 years of living half a life, bouts of depression and partying like a Rock Star oh wait he is a Rock Star. They are such misunderstood sexy creatures. The one thing that kept Brendan going was his daughter Tabitha. He has done everything to give her a good life. Can anyone say blast from past?? A tabloid picture brings Allex back into his life. A love found again to be taken away again good lord what the heck. Well read the book not giving everything away. Just know its an amazing start to a series because if you've noticed it says book 1. Yes book buddy Kathy you got me on another series and you know that means we get to wait for the next installment (keyword here WAIT) lol! This is my first book by this author and definitely won't be the last. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
Second book and what a story and read it was. This was Billie James Maloney and Alleissa story. They met when Allesa met him when she was given a 16th birthday holiday present to London taking her best friend with her by her parents..Allesa gets pregnant they get married. Her parents are furious but Billlie stands up to them and they go back to the USA. This is were the story really starts. We meet old and new characters. The story flows from start to the end. Sheryl Hancock excels with each book in this series cannot wait for the next one. Definitely Recommend 5*****
If you are a fan of music or just good writing you will enjoy this book. [Sparks] delves deeper into the background of BJ Sparks who is a minor character in the [WeHo series] if you read those. These are some of [Sherryl D. Hancock's] most developed and complex characters yet. This book will take you on a wild ride. Another benefit is you can suggest this book to people who may not be so into the lesbian scene and introduce them to an amazing author.
Sherry Hancock is not only an incredibly prolific writer but an incredibly talented writer also. I've read everything of hers that I can find and all I can say is, it's never enough. She always leaves you hanging and waiting anxiously for the next chapter. That's a sign of an incredibly talented writer.
Characters you wish you knew in real life in relationships you wish you had had. This is the stuff fantasies - unforgettable fantasies - are made of! 5* more of you had them!
Has A lot of thrills, love and sacrifice of the people in what it's like to be a rock star and a movie star the life they go through and sacrifice they make for each other hand their families
Perfectly acceptable RR. Not a whole lot of happy in this book. Either high or depressed but yet no dive into the depths. All felt a bit too easy and wrapped up with a pretty now at the end there. Didn't spark my interest any further than this as I get the feeling the Devlin Tabitha saga will develop. TBH, it creeps me out. So...I'll let this series go. Maybe come back to it...maybe
