Chocolate Cozy Mystery series can be read in one to two hours. It is perfect for those moments when you are waiting at an appointment or want to enjoy a quick read.

No pain, no gain.

Tell that to Joe Kristin, one of successful and hard-nosed fitness trainer, Tina Hobb's, most difficult clients. Tina may believe she's doing it for Joe's own good. So, why was she murdered, just hours after their grueling training session?

Intrepid investigator Olivia Cloud on the case!

But, this one could prove quite a doozie for her. Many factors are already clouding the case for Olivia. A slew of odd suspects, a brand new lead detective, more robust business at the chocolate shop, not to mention some very weird vibes from her beau (or not beau), Jake Morgan, are all tearing poor Olivia asunder, as she moves to get to the bottom of this strange murder mystery.

If Olivia (and Jake) aren't careful in this case, it could be all pain and no gain whatsoever for them both.

Diets, fitness, murder and jealousy

A good solid cozy. Delivering chocolates to a fitness centre might have been odd but it should have been routine. Finding the body of the female trainer was anything but routine. Her curiosity aroused she starts looking into the case, against the instincts of her boyfriend and most definitely the police. Can she unravel the threads that bind the truth. Obsession, kidnapping, evidence planting and attempted murder are wrapped up in a plot that has a nice twist at the end. Actually I was torn between 2 suspects and couldn't make up my mind which one was the culprit - making this a better plot then a lot of cozies I have read. I just wish the main character was more likable.

Mix in fitness clients of Tina’s (the instructor murdered) with a clinging girlfriend of one of her clients and a couple of ‘boyfriends/partners’ of Tina’s and you have a great story.

Olivia’s helped solve murders in the past. The police detective keane gets suspended as he’s struggled in the past to identify the murderer. The new detective is younger and knows his business but Olivia still does her own investigating that puts both her and her boyfriend/private investigator at risk.

Good. 5-star read.

This is a well written story that involves a murder, the mystery of who the perpetrator is, and some crazy shenanigans by a few people around town. There is often some humor, as Olivia searches for the killer. Good, enjoyable read.

Those fitness clubs can kill you😉. I have always thought that. The cast of suspects was lets call them interesting and I thought it was who it was but then changed my mind. I hope Olivia actually gives the romance a good try and doesn't push it to the side.

Fun Reading

I enjoyed the storyline and characters. The dialog seemed a little stiff or forced at times. But, overall, I enjoyed it a great deal.
