Mike grew up in S.W. Washington and attended college at Western Washington University as a Journalism Major. Spent time chasing music, his life's true passion over five decades and has interviewed Rick Nelson, Commander Cody, Norton Buffalo, David Bromberg, Jimmy Buffett, and Chuck Leavell. Mike also spent time behind the board as a D.J. for a short stint in early 70's.
To date he has written The Manana Method, a humorously engaging self-published novel revolving around a two-month, 9,000-mile trip throughout Mexico in 1980.

Full disclosure: I know and am a friend of the author. The first half, or so, of the book moves a little slow. However, this travelogue submitted by a fellow former Kelso Highlander gets to be quite entertaining. Offering some comic relief, relatable situations and a little wisdom sprinkled in. There are some entertaining characters and situations that pulled more than one chuckle out of me.
I liked it.

Put off until tomorrow and enjoy the adventure today in this 1970's trip through Mexico with his buddy Dangerous Dave and sidekick "The Kid". Follow his journey by foot, train, bus, cockroach, etc. with this author's adjective and adverb laced sojourn. M. D. Nav adds comedy and realism to make this book hard to put down. A must read.

Buckle up for a wild trip from the cold gray environs of Washington state to the sun bleached beaches of Mexico. Rick Steves kinda meets Hunter Thompson in this crazy ride of a novel, but by the end of the journey Navalinski establishes his own unique voice quite successfully.
