LUCY
This isn't your typical love story.
My life was great, I was happy until I heard something I shouldn't have.
Now I'm running and there's only one man that can save me.
He's also the one man I shouldn't trust.
Will the bounty be too high for him?

CASH
It was meant to be an easy job, Probably the easiest I've ever had.
But something about her threw me.
The Bounty on her head is tempting.
But then again, so is she.
The question is, can I save her?

This is my first read by these authors. I would say it will be my last as they broke me but the dark part of me needs more and can’t wait to read more of this series. When I’ve calmed down I’ll probably stalk both authors and see what else they’ve written.

Let me tell you the cover and blurb is deceiving. This book was so much more than I was expecting. I sat to read a chapter or two as my concentration isn’t too good this week. I ended up reading it all as this was unputdownable.

Hades and Argos got under my skin. They both work together. Hades (a bounty hunter) is offered quite a bit of money to kill Lucy. Lucy is innocent but that doesn’t matter to who wants her dead. Can Hades save her?

This is an awesome story. If you like reading dark stories with taboo subjects then this is definitely the story for you. From start to finish I was on a fast paced rollercoaster. I didn’t know if I wanted to slowly read and digest or devour so I could see what was coming even quicker.

I soooo enjoyed this book! There was suspense, action, and romance with characters that I fell in love with! Lucy is a bit of a sheltered woman, having been under her stepfathers thumb for a while. When she finally starts to live on her own, she overhears some startling information and it changes her entire life! While trying to escape the people who are after her, she meets Hades, a hitman. I really liked seeing how she broke through his tough exterior. He had a soft spot for her right from the beginning and his determination to protect her was unwavering. The ending shocked me and that's all I will say on that because I'm in denial! I will definitely be reading book two!

Bounty captured my attention and kept it from chapter one to the end. It offers a view of the dark underworld of pedophiles, kidnapping, drugs, sex-trafficking, and of course a bounty hit. The story may be a bit dark but oh so good. I can't wait for what is next for Hades, Argos and of course Lucy. Think there might need a new name for her after this book.

My favorite quote

One of the authors I have read once before and the other is a new to me but this called to me. This is not even my average read for me so it will be different. I am most curious if the hitman can resist or will he pick the wrong path. Normally this is something I would skip but the romance screamed it would satisfy the need. The is centered around Lucy and Cash. Ah that Lucy drama like glue. Dark intense and dangerous will bring you to the edge. The combo intriguing too. Touchy things but oh so worth it with by the time you have been pulled up and down with sliding into the last of this one you will wonder how long for the next one.

This is one of this stories that makes you feel bad for loving it so much. There is so much wrong with this story, but it's oh so good! Cash and Lucy are just fantastic together. Argos helps make the story too and I'm hoping to see more from him in a future book in the series. Very dark undertones and storyline may have some squirming or experiencing uneasy feelings, but man is it good. Trigger warnings galore for this book. But that ending was a killer and I'm not completely sure about it, but I can't wait for the next one. What a way to start a series people!

This book is so much more than intense... the subject matter is beyond dark. The topic of kidnapping/trafficking is done with a realistic element that is so past unsettling. Yes this is a love story with the right amount of naughty. We have a hitman and his tech support sidekick (mmm both are nummy wink wink) and the teacher who is in the wrong place at the wrong time and gets a hit put on her. Good thing we have a bounty hunter who investigates before he makes a hit and has a heart as well. I love his RobinHood vibe. The path taken, trying to save the girl and getting the bad guys is full of heart-palpating moments causing an adrenaline rush like no other. Reading this story definitely produced a variety of emotions, often causing me to be on the edge of my seat, fanning myself from the steamy times, and wanting the evil to pay for the harm done to the innocent. All I can say is this book blew my mind... If you love reads full of raw, angsty storylines then this is the book for you.

Bounty should have some specific trigger warnings attached as the blurb doesn't allude to them.

This book contains:
Be warned. I know it's a hard limit for many readers.

I really enjoyed the suspense in Bounty. The character connection between Cash/Hades and Lucy was starting to cement quite nicely. The sex was smoking hot. 🔥 The banter between Hades and Argos brought much needed levity to the book.
I can't wait for some loose ends to get tied up in book 2. I'm hoping for a little vengeance and reconciliation. ;)
While the plot wasn't particularly original, the writing was solid.
It needed some editing, tho.

I'd definitely read more books by these authors in the future.

Lucy is an innocent, happy go lucky kindergarten teacher until the day she hears something she shouldn’t have. Cash, “Hades” is the skilled hitman who accepts the job of killing Lucy.

BOUNTY is not the predictable tale of the captor and captive falling in love with one another – it’s much, much more!!! This book is action-packed, gripping, intense, dark and sexy as hell! BOUNTY would easily deserve 5 stars if it had better editing but unfortunately, way it is edited currently is awful!! Aside from way too many typos and grammatical errors, the repetition was extremely frustrating (discussions were repeated verbatim from different character’s points of view). There were also several loose ends and/or events that occur, “coincidentally“ or without a plausible explanation. Despite this, it is a great book!

This novel just didn't do it for me and I was left with a kind of horrible taste in my mouth when reading this book. This book centres on Lucy and Cash. Lucy is your typicla young, middle class woman working hard for a living. She lives with her mother and step-father who is a bit shady and is working within politics. One night, Lucy hears something that she shouldn't have coming from her step-fathers office and sets off a series of events with Cash trying to kill her! Yep, a bounty has put on her head and Cashis the one who is meant to kill her, but through her being 'innocent' he can't and this now starts a cat and mouse game not only with Lucy and Cash, but also other hit men/women and Lucy's step-fathers cronies.
The themes in this book are dark and there are some very explicit scenes of viloence again young women/girls that I found particularily disturbing. I also didn't enjoy the scenes between Cash and Lucy, he was far to hard and she was far too soft, especially to survive what is happening to her. Lucy's mother is also a bit of a wet blanket, but there really isn't enough about her to hold your interest. One shining character is Lucy's dad and it would be interesting to see what happens with him in later books. But overall, I just felt that characters responses didn't quite fit what was going on around them and they all just seemed to accept what was going on without any real passion or fight.
The one good thing about this book is that it is written well, it's descriptive and fast paced but also ends in a cliffhanger - which I am intrigued about but probably won't continue to read. This book also contains triggers, so please be aware of this when you are reading.

So Pavan is one of my favourite authors, but K.L. Humphrey’s is a new author to me.........
Well where do I start........ This book has it all I’ve literally felt every emotion possible with this book, Yes it’s dark and tbh probably one of the darkest I’ve read for a while it does have some serious moments where it was difficult to read with the human trafficking/paedophile ring however it was done in a way that you felt exactly what the characters were feeling and thinking which brought the whole book to life...... I literally could and sat there and read the whole book in one night if could of got away with not going to work and dealing with everyday life as I just did not want to put this book down I constantly wanted to know what was going to happen next.
I loved the characters Lucy,Cash (Hades)and Argos were brilliant all 3 of them and they all connected so well together as the 3 main characters..... considering this was a book written by two authors you couldn’t tell in the writing it flowed so well together.
The ending was completely nothing like I was expecting and has made me desperate for book two...... seriously when will it be out?!?!
So basically if you want a book where you are going to be able to laugh at times, ugly cry (a lot), Shout, scream out loud and at times feel so angry at the bad guys that you literally want to launch your kindle (I don’t suggest you that I mean in the hypothetical sense) then this book for you.

When you start to read a new author for the first time you are excited, happy, cant wait to start page one .. BUT ..the intensity in the book from page 1 will have you say just WOW !!

Pavan Kaur & KL Humphreys have hit it out of the park so to speak with the different levels of feeling you go through. Happy, Excited, Sad, Screaming, Yelling .. just WOW !!

Lucy had the perfect life .. so to speak .. or she thought she did until she listened to one, just one conversation her step father and business associates were having and her life would turn upside down from there. But when she meets the one man that she should stay away with her life is about to change..

Hades is the Bounty Hunter hired to turn Lucy world upside down but when he sees she .. her .. just her ..he knows she isn't the threat but an innocent victim is this cruel, cruel life her step father has planned for her.

I wish I could say more .. yell, scream, do anything to change the out come BUT then we don't know what Book 2 holds for us ??

This is my first book by Pavon and K.L. And I have to say, I have become a huge fan. The intensity that Bounty brings had me reading from beginning to end in one setting. The subject matter is so dark, human trafficking, and we get to see glimpses of what happens and it breaks your heart. We have the story of a Bounty Hunter and his high tech sidekick, both freaking delicious, who have no problems taking out marks. When paid to do a quick mark, they start questioning why. When they discover that it’s just a school teacher who listened to something that she shouldn’t, they set out to protect her. And along they way she touches the heart of the stone cold killer. But deception runs deep, and sometimes we can only live and love while we can.

You will feel all kinds of emotions in Bound, just like I did. Horror, sadness, disgust, Happy, excited, and hot with those love scenes. Overall I say give Bound a chance, these authors will not disappoint.

I have previously read books by these authors and I as soon as I heard these two authors were teaming up to write a story together I knew it was something that I wanted to read. What an amazing writing duo these two authors make. The writing throughout the book flowed all the way through the book and was flawlessly done. This story brought out a lot of emotions throughout me and my heart broke so many times throughout the story.

Bounty was a dark read that really brought to light some of the darkest things that happens in the world creating a range of emotions throughout you. The couple in the story I loved reading about because they were complete opposites but somehow they were perfect together.

This story had so many twists and turns throughout it that it had me on the edge of my seat all the way through the story. The ending I was not expecting at all and had me compelled shocked. This story stayed with me days after I finished reading it.

How to write this review and not give away how amazing this story truly is. I will say right from the start, there are some very disturbing scenes in this story that made me squeamish but done in a manner that only elevates the story and the severity of the situation Grace finds herself in. Hades sees himself as a bad guy, a hitman, but he only kills people that are doing harm to others so is her really bad? When his mission is Grace, he senses something different, this shouldn’t be his next victim and he finds himself in the unique position of protecting her along with his best friend Argos. These three form an alliance to fight back against evil while protecting Grace. What a unique love story that truly surprised me at the end. I loved the layers of complexity as they dig into the mystery of what Grace overheard. So curious where the author’s take us next. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Oh My God! I could not put this down. You guys did a fantastic job! There is graphic detail so this may not be suitable for some so beware.
I fell in love with Lucy and Cash.
The writing flows from character to character. You can feel what the characters were feeling and that makes for great writing.
The mystery y'all have throughout the entire story had me wondering but kept me reading. The love story you guys concocted came together fast but with caution and was beautiful in the process. There was the laughter y'all gave with the banter between Argos and Hades and the sadness in the story for the characters and the victims was heart wrenching but true.
I really have no more words to express how much I loved this story and can't wait to see what happens next in this collaborating series, thank you Pavan for co-writing with K.L. and vice versa. You two are talented together, K.L. I love you as a writer alone and Pavan look forward to reading something from you alone.

Now this is where I start chanting........ Book 2, Book2! Hello page turner, oh how I love thee! Bounty had it all! Subject matter might not suit all, so if you are a little sensative, please don't read this book, but if you don't discriminate on subject matter, add this book to the top of your TBR list.

Cash and Lucy, yes it's a love story, but not your typical one. Would you think a Hit Man and a school teacher would ever work? And really that's all I want to give away about this book. It had me hooked from page one and I totally recommend reading this book; I don't want to give one thing away! The storyline was developed in a clever way, that you never once felt lost nor did you feel the need to go back and re-read scenes because you didn't get it the first time. Shows real talent there from the authors.

Now back to my first statement.......Book 2, Book2!

Lucy had a great life until she heard something she shouldn't - she now on the run and the one man who can save her is the one she really shouldn't trust. Cash went to do a quick job that should have been easy money - however the target threw him and although the money is tempting he finds her tempting too. Can she learn to trust him and can he save her?

Wow - this is a story full of drama, danger and twists/turns. If you can get your head around the format of this book which looks at the events from both their viewpoints (and so has some repetition) it becomes addictive and you will find yourself reading it faster and faster as you need to know what happens next. There is a heartbreaking surprise at the end which I definitely didn't see coming. I'm interested to see how the series will continue after that ending.

While this book is Dark, omg you will want to read it. I am not for sure if i can even put to words what this book says, I have never thought about human trafficking/kidnapping as much as i have by reading this book. This was so intense for me that i had to know what was going to happen. there are so many things i want to say but i don't want to give the story away, from the start of the book Lucy was in the wrong place the wrong time, when she over hears something that she shouldn't she wonders what to do. Meet hades he is a hitman, good at what he does he, he studys his hits for a lack of a better term, finding that Lucy isn't what she seams he decides to protect her, can he save her from the people that are after her. this book had me on edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book for an honest review. Wow! I loved this book, it’s intense, dark, these authors will take you on an emotional ride with their story of Cash and Lucy. I was hooked right from the start with these two and I couldn’t put it down. Opposite attract all the time and Cash and Lucy are definitely opposites. Lucy is in the wrong place and now her life is on the line and a bounty on her head and when Cash is brought in to take her out, he does his research on her before he makes his move. His mission has changed and he wants to save her from her impending death. You will be on the edge of your seat wanting to know what’s next, this story is so gripping you have to grab this book to find out how their story ends. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Wow, this book has everything, romance, alpha male (who just happens to be a hitman), a beautiful heroine, quirky friends, scary bad guys and tons of twist and turns in between. This is my first book from Pavan Kuar and I dare say it wont be me last.

Cash is a hitman who is offered 1 million dollars to kill Lucy in 3 days. After following her and seeing this quiet kindergarten teacher is not a threat he and his best friend Argos knows that something else is going on. He ends up kidnapping Lucy and that's when the story takes of running literally. Trying to solve the mystery and keeping her alive takes Cash down a different path, then he starts to have feelings for the beautiful scared girl.

I don't want to go into to much detail, don't want to give anything away, it's to good for you not to experience this rollercoaster thrill ride. Told in dual POVs we get both Lucy and Cash's experience. It's a great story that has a lot going on and an ending....thats all I can say.

Need a major thrill ride, go get Bounty.

"Everyone has a reason to be on the road they are on."

I really enjoy a good dark romance and this one is definitely not for the faint of heart. I have never read anything by these two before and wasn't sure what to expect with a title like Bounty. This was most definitely not what I expected but I loved it. I was drawn in right away and held on for the ride. This story is chock full of the unexpected. I've read dark romances before and this one had several unexpected plot twists that I never would have imagined. The emotions readers feel are high all the time. There is no in between, you love them or you hate them.
The main characters broke my heart, put it back together and then absolutely trampled it at the end. I was absolutely heart broken but look forward to the continued adventures of Hades and Argos with vengeance in my heart.

Cash and Lucy meet under very weird circumstances. Lucy is a plain, normal, happy woman who lives with her mum and stepfather. Her stepfather is a very important person and when she overhears a conversation she shouldn’t have; her life becomes very chaotic and she is in danger.
Cash is a hired hitman. He has killed many many people. All of them are very bad people but that changes when he’s hired to kill Lucy. He can’t understand why she’s on his hit list and he is utterly shocked when he finds out who hired him.
The chemistry between them is weird but electric even though Cash can be guarded sometimes. I really liked the storyline and how well it flowed nicely. It’s full of great drama and I was bored at all. Really great read!

Bounty by Pavan Kaur and KL Humphreys is the first book in the Hitman series. It is the first book I’ve read of theirs. Bounty was packed with twists and turns and OMG moments that had me on the edge of my seat. It was twisted and dark but I could not put it down. My heart literally felt like it was going to come out of my chest.

Without giving too much away... Lucy, a school teacher, overhears something she isn’t supposed to and is forced to run. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time and now is being hunted. A bounty hunter, Hades, is hired to kill her. Thankfully he does his job thoroughly and realizes something's not right. What was once just supposed to be a job turns into protecting her, he will do it at all costs.

This book!!! Jeez...I don’t even know how to put into words how awesome it was! Days after finishing it I still can’t get it out of my head. The writing was excellent, the flow was perfect and the characters were AMAZING! I am so looking forward to book 2!

Wow! I loved this book, this story, these characters! This book will make you go through all the emotions. It’s hard to put down because you can’t wait to read what happens next. It will leave you on the edge of your seat and anxiously awaiting the next book.

This dark story that brings Lucy and Cash together is suspenseful and riveting. What I really like is how their relationship develops. Cash is drawn to Lucy right away but with everything that is happening to Lucy, her focus is strictly on what is happening to her in the beginning. I liked the way the authors had this relationship develop over some time.

I also can’t wait to get more of Argos. I love his character and his relationship with Cash. These two make one hell of a team. I can’t see what they do next.

WTF was that ending?

Even a month later I'm still reeling...hoping that it didn't end the way I read it. There has to be another answer... I can't have read that!

This book had me cringing in some moments, but with subject matter like that, how could I not? I loved the strength of Lucy and the amazing man Cash is...even though he's a bad guy, deep down he has a heart of gold and Lucy's extremely lucky to have him on her side!

I love the witty banter between Cash and Argos and we all know, to be the hero of our own story, you need a kick-ass side kick right beside you - protecting you, loving you and telling you just how it is... and that's exactly what Argos brings to the table... I'm desperate for book 2!

Carla's Five Star Review

Let me start my review by letting it be known that Bounty is a pretty dark book. It offers a look into the dark underworld. There are bounty hits, pedophiles, rapists, and sex trafficking. Read it at your own discretion. There are certain parts of the story that are hard to read. While it is dark, it is also really good. I fell in love with Hades, and I can't wait to read more about Argos and Katie (maybe].

I really enjoyed this story! This is my first time reading anything by these authors, and I was super impressed! It is obvious that they work well together!

Excellent book!

This is one of those books that will grip you from the start and then keep you addicted til the end. Cash and Lucy may be total opposites but I found that while they had their differences, they were really able to balance each other out. The plot has dark undertones which I am addicted to and I thought the authors did amazing work when it came to sensitive subject matter. I am going to pull my hair out waiting for more from this amazing cast of characters. 5 stars because I never saw the twists in this book coming and I fell hard for Cash and Lucy. I’m wish I could go on and on about it, but I don’t want to risk spoilers. #2OCCJD
