Jean Dufaux is a Belgian comic book writer. Beginning his professional career as a journalist for "Ciné-presse", Dufaux started writing comic books in the 1980s. Perhaps his most well-known, and certainly his most long-running, series is Jessica Blandy.

I know why I like Horriblus. He reminds me of Getafix and Vitalstix. This is far darker than Asterix. Still a rather powerful story with odd notes of humor. I mean the undead/evil armies are so funny.

Zeer goed opgebouwd fantasy-verhaal (familie-intriges die aan Game of Thrones doen denken) met mooi tekenwerk (waarbij Disney nooit veraf is), af en toe een flauwe grap. Ben benieuwd hoe het zal aflopen in het vierde deel. Spannend !

Je continue à lire afin de voir ce qui va se passer après, je n'arrive toujours pas à accrocher avec les différents personnages et surtout Blanche, elle me fatigue 🤦🏻‍♀️

This story is alright. It goes along kind of predictably. Both sides assemble an army for a big fight. I thought that would be the finale of the series, but it finishes in this volume. I'm not sure what will come next. I appreciated the artwork in this volume.

Irgendwie war in diesem Band relativ wenig Story. Ich mochte die klaren Zeichnungen besonders, die die in blau oder hellem gelb gehalten waren.

Deze vond ik iets minder. Het verhaal nam wel af en toe een verrassende wending. Horibili mocht blijven bij Miranda waarop hij verliefd was. Hij mocht haar gevangen houden. Ik dacht toen meteen ook dat dat een heel slecht idee was. Maar daar kreeg het verhaal een verrassende wending.
De oorlog die er zat aan te komen wordt beëindigd. Er wordt fameus wat van zijde gewisseld, maar op zich is de oorlog saai. Het idee is er wel, maar het beslissende gevecht heeft veel opbouw gekregen en weinig uitvoering. ik had er meer van verwacht.

ik kijk nog steeds uit naar de volgende strip om te zien of Blanche met de duivel kan huizen. Curieus!

Una historia diferente, en la que nada es lo que parece y donde el odio, la ambición, la traición y la bajeza humana se entremezclan con el amor, la justicia y otros ideales de forma inesperada. Giros de humor casi infantiles, que son todo un homenaje a Goscinny, aportan un contrapunto de liviandad a una historia bastante oscura y sombría. Hay partes de la trama en las que la historia avanza de forma un poco brusca y a trompicones, como si estuviera capada. Más de una vez intenté comprobar que no me estuviera saltando páginas pegadas, pero en general estos cuatro volúmenes me parecen muy disfrutables y con un dibujo y un color magníficos.

Despite the faux-Disney character designs, this is a pitch-black story about a young woman who murders her mother in self defense only to realize that she enjoys the power that comes with royalty.
