One Man Holds The Key To The World’s Nuclear Balance Of Power
A deep undercover German Intelligence agent in the Russian FSB is betrayed and forced to go on the run. He makes it as far as Smolensk before being captured by a sadistic ex-KGB colonel, now working freelance for the FSB.

His capture sets off a wave of panic at the very highest levels of the German Government. For this agent, before he ran, found evidence that could implicate the Russian Government in the illegal sales of nuclear material to North Korea. These same documents also show a way of remotely destroying those missiles in mid-air before they are able to hit their targets.

The German chancellor, Claudia Meyer, gives Major Sophie Decker, chief of the elite and covert Department 89 an order. Go deep into Russian territory, rescue the agent, and recover the documents.

But there's only one problem - the Russians know Decker and her agents are coming. To make matters worse, the Russian President has sent special forces commandos to collect the captured agent. The scene is set for blood to be spilt, and for the Department 89 team to face their toughest challenge yet.

Praise for the Department 89 series

"If Die Hard would have had a female lead, Decker would have been it".

"Sophie Decker is my newest favorite heroine".

"This book is the sort of book that is very difficult to put down once you start reading it".

I was given a free review copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. And I have to say Fantastic, I so love the Department 89 Books, Major Decker is a woman you don't want to mess with, and shes taking her small team and heading to Russia to get their man back. A fast paced action packed, explosive energy story, well worth a read. Look forward to the next book this year 'The Traitor'. And if you have some time check out Assassins Child by Mark O'Neill, it gives you a small idea of early life Decker.

This is the best of the series so far. The characters become more three dimensional, and recent events concerning Russia make the story even more poignant. The quality of writing is better than ever. This book sucked me in from the word go, and Major Sophie Decker has just become one of my favourite literary characters.

Thrilling.

Heart racing suspense at its best! The Department 89 crew led by Decker are sent in to Russia to rescue a captured agent. Hell breaks out as there is a mole back at Dept 89. Grab this thriller to live the action. Mark O'Neill is up there with the best.
