Ending BIG

"Readers will root for the sympathetic Duncan as he morphs into a more grounded version of James Bond or Jason Bourne." --Publishers Weekly Duncan Luke has a bad feeling about his next job for BIG. Ghislaine Bingham wants him to fly to Niger to investigate a uranium concession near the Libyan border owned by her stepson's new partner, Salah. Duncan suspects the man is secretly dealing arms, but the region blows up in violence before he can get answers. His gut says Ghislaine isn’t telling him the full truth, but he misreads her motives for subterfuge; she is the victim of a blackmail scheme implicating her in the murder of an ex-lover and she risks losing everything if exposed. From the moment Duncan arrives in North Africa, his life is in danger, BIG is on the brink of collapse, and the custody of his son is in jeopardy. He must expose Salah’s scheme and save Ghislaine before time runs out on BIG and his quest for a happy home. Action-packed, ENDING BIG delivers the biggest punch of the series. “Mr. Bryan introduces a refreshingly different ‘hero’ in this tale of international commercial espionage. . . Duncan Luke leads a cast of memorable characters, the women are particularly strong, who are involved in various forms of skullduggery. . . a great yarn.” --Des Monaghan, Senior Television Executive

2/13, Playa del Rey, CA apt. Ghislaine Bingham (widow, Bingham International Group (BIG) chairman of the board) opened up to Duncan Luke but for the most part it seemed to no avail.
Beverly Glen apt. Eun-ji Kim (Korean f, White Tigers gang) confronted Ghislaine (f) at the gate when she arrived home.
She had 6 days to comply with her demands.

2/14, LA, CA. Century City offices. Bingham International Group (BIG). Ghislaine, Taro “Taka” Takayama (Japanese, f, Aoki president, Keio U, BIG partner), Dr. Duncan Luke (BIG head, Professor, lawyer, Loyola Marymount U), & Gracie Lewis (ex-wife/mother, BIG) were having a board meeting.
Rebecca Schwartz (Sephardic Home for the Aged director) called Ward Bingham (Lilia’s stepson, BIG president, aka Judah) & told him Khala Sawari (room # 125) had a stroke.
She also wanted him to donate $3 million to keep the place up/running.
Ward agreed.
Ghislaine was opening up to Mi-young Park (Korean, masseuse/confidant) about her confrontation with Eun-ji Kim.
Ghislaine called Jimmy Brennan (70+, Rodeo Jewelry Buyers owner) & wanted a piece of jewelry appraised.
2/15, LA, CA. Century City offices. Bingham International Group (BIG). The next day AM Lieutenant Colonel Mamou Ousmane (45, Nigerian Army paratrooper, 1st. Gulf War) would meet with the 2 of them.

What was Laurent de Clerc up to?

What information did Huli Sato (Aoki intern) have for Ward Bingham?
Washington, DC. Cosmos Club (Embassy Row). What were Justin Mudd (Counselor to the State Secretary, Georgetown U; Law), & Dr. Luke meeting about?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written international business thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a large set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great international business thriller movie, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

A good first novel in a three book series that became better with each succeeding book

I just completed the third book of this series and enjoyed them all. If you are interested in the twists and turns of an exiting business venture you will find the series a good read. I use 4 stars to denote a very good book; 5 stars is saved for a truly outstanding one. I enjoyed reading a book that takes place primarily in Los Angeles, my home. The descriptions of locations was spot on. I think better editing would eliminate a few grammatical errors that always bother me. I’m also somewhat critical of the extensive use of company names and products but that’s not a large complaint; just one I found a bit annoying. The characters were well fleshed out and the international areas and situations sounded as if the book had been written today. It’s necessary to read these books in order to obtain the most from them. I don’t consider each a stand-alone. Thanks to the author for a number of hours of pleasant reading. I’d like to read more in this series.

Being an intelligence officer is not an easy job as Duncan Luke as it had taken its toll on his marriage and child. His next case involves investigating a uranium shipment to the Libya which might be more of a trade of weapons. It is job to find out what is really going on.

Welcome to a world of espionage where things are not as simple or black and white. A fast pace thriller.

Ending BIG

Five stars for a novel that held me to the end! The twists and turns of the story kept me guessing until the end. The characters were all believable, as were their adventures around the world

After reading the first 2 books in the BIG series, I was looking forward to immersing myself in the 3rd. Mr. Bryan did not disappoint. ENDING BIG was a complex, fast-paced thriller with many unexpected plot twists. I enjoyed traveling to Japan, Europe and Africa with Duncan Luke and his legal colleagues. I had a personal investment in each of the characters after the time I spent with them -- cheering them on when they were victorious and chastising them when they let me down. I was most impressed by the fact that Mr. Bryan did not resort to a deus ex machina device to wrap together the various threads of his plot and bring his compelling story to its apparent conclusion. I hope to read more of Duncan's uncanny perceptions and cunning solutions that make him such a memorable character.

I really enjoyed the 3 books in the series. I downloaded the 1st book and didn't get around to read it for a while. Once I did it really hooked me. Immediately read the next two books. Kept my interest throughout. Waiting for next book in series.

LET’S HOPE “ENDING BIG” LANDS US AT A NEW BEGINNING!

WHILE THE END OF THIS NOVEL HAS ITS MOMENTS OF BEING OVERDONE, OVERALL IT IS A THRILLING AND ABSORBING ENDING TO THE TRILOGY. THE CHARACTERS ARE NOW FULL OF LIFE AND MATURE, COMPLEX NOTES OF CHARACTER AND NUANCE, THE COMPLICATIONS OF THEIR INTERTWINED LIVES ARE FAR FROM SOLVED AND AT PEACE. SO MY ADVICE TO ALL IS READ THIS TRILOGY, AND WAIT EXPECTANTLY TO THE NEXT INSTALLMENT OF THE ADVENTURES OF DUNCAN LUKE. I LOVED THE WHOLE SERIES AND SO WILL YOU.

Couldn't get into it.

Read several chapters but I'm done. Could not get into it. Hyphenated words that shouldn't be, rambling on and kept losing my interest! Not for me.
