This is Kamara and Toby's story. Whilst I enjoyed their story, it started off way too slow for me. It took for the story to get to around 40% before I was really invested in the story. I have really enjoyed all the stories by this author but his one lacked something for me. I like the couple and their story had its action but not as thrilling as previous stories.
In this series Wyatt and Neillie's story is still my favourite.
I love some Black brothers especially Wyatt. When it was said that Toby would be next I scoffed at the idea!! I was like naw he shouldn’t be next we know his story but oh was I wrong!! This story filled so many gaps as well as put so much in perspective!!I loved the passion, awe and love he had for Kamara from the moment they met. I love seeing how everything ties together. This was such an awesome read The brothers Black series has yet to disappoint. Great read Ms Blue. Loved it!!!
Enjoyed reading about Toby and Kamara and how they came to be. The couple dealt with so much secrecy until it all started to unravel. It freed them to love each in the open and to get the love and support from their families.
When Toby met Kamara she was young, she was off limits, and she was his best friends sister. Over the years Toby's attraction has not abated and Kamara has secretly falling hard for Toby. However Kamara has secrets that Toby knows nothing about. What will happen when Toby finds out and is there any chance that Toby and Kamara can be together despite the odds against them?
This was not what I was expecting. I liked this story but was surprised by how it went. There was a big build up for this couple and it did not disappoint. Had a few times that I thought it dragged a bit but once story picked up it was one you couldn't put down.
This book was worth the wait. So many questions about Toby and Kamara's relationship have been answered in this book. Tamara and Toby went through hell for their love., but they endured and succeeded with the love and support of not only the family but with the Alliance as well. We also get to see snippets from past books and a little bit of the next book. I can't wait for Braxton 's story to be told.
Great Read! Toby and Kamara story will grab you, pull you in, make you talk out loud to your reading devices. It will have you trying to fix their problems and above all, it will keep you entertained from start to finish.
Excellent story...Blue Saffire just gets better with each book
Toby and Kamara's story is such a compelling read, I loved the way the author intertwined and linked the story together with the other books in the series so that the reader can join all the dots and see the whole picture unfold. Excellent attention to detail, as the love story of Toby and Kamara is told from their perspectives. I love the way they literally cannot be without each other and how their relationship developed over time from high school. This is a brilliant love story and the determination, bravery and sacrifice they both made to end up together. Bravo Blue you are truly gifted and blues you for sharing your God given gift with your readers.
Wyatt and Nellie will always be my favorite Black Brothers book but truly enjoyed Kamara and Toby's adventure.
There was a lot going on here! Most could be believable, but a lot was very unrealistic!
Toby was sure of himself from the very beginning without a question until he was tongue-tied whenever he was around Kamara.
I had some disappointments, Kamara was a princess and then grew into a queen. I just feel like she doesn't have presences and that to me just didn't fit well. I wanted to see more of Kamara, I wanted to feel her strength.
I see Toby the Protector lived ☝to his name because when it came to Kamara he was kicking a$$. She is a princess from Africa (Nigeria) and her twin bro Kwaze is a Prince. Both have been groomed to become their countries future 👑and👑 through prearranged marriages. But, that ain't gonna happen with the Brothers Black involvement. Lots of action and 💘'n in this story. Pretty good series, so far.
Blue Saffire is truly talented! Her books are sooooooo hard to put down to get anything else in your life done. Kamara and Toby’s story is just another AMAZING story that will make you laugh, cry, cheer, want to fight and sing. I’m proud to add this one to my Blue Saffire collection of books.
Damn I seriously loved this story and the fine details. When you put your heart in your writing it shows and I thank you for that! I couldn't put it down. Oh Mara do your thing girl! Hot stuff. I truly love all the Blacks. I loved how Toby never let anything discourage his feelings. I'm excited for more to come. Seriously if you haven't read any Of Blue's books you need to start. You won't regret it.
I recently revisited finished 𝕋𝕠𝕓𝕪: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕣, the third book in the 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌 series, and it stayed with me long after the final page. Toby Black is the strong, silent brother who carries the world on his shoulders. But even protectors need support. Watching him finally realize that was both emotional and powerful.
Their love story spans years. From youthful beginnings to a deeply rooted bond, watching it unfold was beautiful. Toby and Kamara’s connection felt authentic. You see them grow together, stumble, reconnect, and rise stronger. Their chemistry is undeniable. But it’s their emotional intimacy that really stands out.
The author gives us both points of view. Every emotion hits deeper. You understand why Toby tries to handle life alone. You feel Kamara’s strength as she quietly demands more than silence. Every moment between them feels earned.
This is more than a romance. It’s about family, healing, and what it means to be truly seen. The writing is vivid, almost cinematic, and grounded in emotional truth. Each chapter is carefully crafted to move the story and deepen the bond between characters.
If you want a story that’s heartfelt, honest, and rich in emotion, 𝕋𝕠𝕓𝕪: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕣 delivers.
Outstanding read! Blue Saffire has become one of my favorite authors for creating fictitious worlds that spin-off each other. Even better is she does it without regurgitating the same book over and over. She builds story lines that revolves around the characters and sometimes over lap. However, each book has its own unique romance and she doesn't skip on action. Moreover, she creates powerful emotions with meanings. I can't wait to read more!

UPDATE Yes, I love this world so much that when I finally made it through my massive amounts of email and noticed new releases... I had to start from the beginning. As a woman, I love these alpha in control men that will do anything to protect their families and the women they love. But I also love these strong woman who stand beside their men, not behind!
Love the Black family. I'm never disappointed when I pick up a book from Mrs. Saffire. Such an AMAZING story filled with all of your favorite characters from previous books. So happy to look into the life of Mara and Toby and see them get their HEA!! Looking forward to reading Braxtons story.
I hate 1st person books. I really do. I haven't been able to read them for a while but I've been waiting to read this series. I've read Wyatt, Noah, and now Toby's story.
There was not enough meat or action in this story. Sexual action? Yea, plenty but for Toby and Kamara's backstory, this should have been an action movie. Even with the flashbacks of surrounding events, the author still missed the good stuff.
Some how all 3 brothers have known their women since teens and even grade school but this could have went differently. Toby and Kamara were cute but it was such a slow story and when the action did come, I was like "dass it?". So Kamara is living with a secret. Her family basically has the Black family as personal security.
Kamara is shy and overprotected and Toby sounds too similar to the other brothers. I was all for the book until Wyatt and Nellie were back in the book in such a sexual manner. This isn't about y'all lol
It was so off to throw that in there. The author could have given that to Kwaze the twin brother or devoted that entire chapter to advancing the series in another way. I'll continue reading but there was just so much that could have been done with this story line. The throw a monkey wrench into the plan like Kwaze's girl wants to rule and cut the whole family out but they can't kill her because she is the mother of his children..... something. Having a stern conversation with Afafa aka Robert Mugabe was just whack. All those years on the run and the grand finale was just boring. I was some what disappointed. I'll continue to read the author's works.
Toby Black has loved Kamara most of his life. He just never thought she would love him too. Too many differences to overcome and she’s a Princess to boot. Once they admit their love to each other they have way too many secrets to keep, it tore Toby apart to keep secrets from his family, but he did what he felt he had to do to keep first his woman, then wife and children safe. I have read every book Blue Saffire has released. I have waited a long time for Toby and Kamara’s story. So happy Blue did them justice and gave us their whole story versus picking up where Noah (Brothers Black 2), left off. Such a great love story, and yet another of my favorites from Blue Saffire. I love this interconnected world of families and stories she has created for us. With Wyatt, Noah and Toby all married, I can’t wait to see which of the Black brothers gets his story next. Shalaia Okay most of you won't know this, but I love interracial romances. Could be because my husband and I are a mixed race couple. That being said, it's hard to find quality authors/ books in this genre. I've been trying for years! There are a few who do it well, but Blue Saffire takes it to a whole different level. Her characters are bad ass. They are hit men/women, lawyers, private investigators, security, athletes, kings, queens, princes and princesses, and heads of crime families. They are husbands, wives and parents. The families through the different series all connect and are all there for each other and the stories are well written. Blue has the ability to write these stories in a different way. My only complaint is that I hate waiting for whichever book comes next.
Wow this is a awesome series! Each story makes a beautiful part. This one is such a exciting story that brings romance and a huge smile to your face. The characters are awesome and their passion burns up the pages with their passion which is sizzling hot. They meet young and their chemistry grows with them. you will feel happy for them as their relationship develops. This story is such a pleasurable experience that you will definitely enjoy. It's full of loyalty and family that makes it a great series that's binge worthy. There is suspense with lots of loving along with babies it's what happen when a couple falls in love and their chemistry between them is so awesome that it turns into a love of their lives. In this series even the secondary characters are extraordinary. The story is written with such imagination that it makes great stories that are beautiful to read. I only had one problem that is the ending but I am enjoying this series. It's definitely FIVE STARS! I would give it more if possible.I am excited for the next one much!
I love love love this book. Brothers Black book 3 was freaking amazing. I loved Toby and Kamara story it was so good. And Toby is a super freak just like his brothers, Blue Saffire did a wonderful job telling his story. I just loved the way those two loved each other and even though I can't wait for the others story I'm thinking we're going to need a book two for Wyatt and Nellie's story I'm just saying....... But I have no issues with with this book some parts were kind of slow at times but other then that I enjoyed every minute and I'm so happy Kamara was starting to become a bad ass Queen that she was always meant to be and we got to read and get answer about Toby and Kamara relationship and I finally understand why Toby did what he did. And I'm glad I got to see not only how much he loved his brothers but also how much he loved his woman. Toby the Protector kicked ass!!!!!!!!
I wasn't impressed with Noah and Karama's story. It seemed long and drawn out to me. I feel like the author could have ended the conflict sooner and saved some pages.
I also didn't like how accepting Karama's family was of Toby. I just didn't think it was too realistic. However, happy accepting Families are always apart of Ms. Saffire's storyline. In most instances it works. In this story, it didn't seem to work for me.
The conflict was too easily resolved. I expected there to be some shooting and blood shed especially since King Afafa knew people were coming. He did nothing. Also why did he have to be old and ugly? Toby could have sweated a little.
I probably wouldn't recommend this book of the Brothers Black series simply because it doesn't compare to Noah or Wyatt. It seems slightly rushed.
I have more love for the Black family! Toby and Kamara's love story is re-told in this book and it's a good one! What I really liked about this one is here's great care by the author to acknowledge the cultural differences between Kamara and Toby and we learn a bit about Kamara's Nigerian heritage. Of course, the whole Queen of a tribe in Nigeria and bringing in her White husband in the role of king was a bit much, but it sort of works. Also, Toby definitely lives up to his name as the Protector and the story is well told and interwoven with the previous stories told in Wyatt and Noah's books and we are also introduced to Ryan and Carmen's budding romance here as well. I would also like to read more about these cousins in Ireland! They were a riot at the wedding! Anyway, another great offering in this series. Love scenes are awesome, of course and I'm really looking forward to reading Braxton's story with Heather in Book 4. Sounds like it will be juicy!
I always wonder what was going on with Toby and Kamara. Especially on the time in the previous books where Toby would ALWAYS be on his phone.
Need less to say I really enjoy this book. I hope there is a book for the black cousin back in Ireland. They're a hilarious bunch. I would also love to read about Brooklyn and about there cousin Lucas. I wonder what's going on there. I read about him in a different book aka Ryan Black book. ( since I started this series backwards ) and it had me curious about what happened.
I love that Blue Saffire really starts from the very began. I mean if they met each other when they were kids. Then that's where their story will start. I absolutely LOVE That since most authors don't do that.
Can't wait to read about Felix. He's the quiet one in this group of brothers. Wonder what his story is about. It has to be good since its usually the quiet ones u gotta look out for.

Yessss! This is it! Blue Saffire has done it again! The Brothers Black are off the chain! Didn’t know they were a bunch of sexy freaks! LOL! It was good to see the cameo appearance of Don (LaSalle) Locatelli, aka Sam Mairettie. He’s sexy all by himself!
Toby’s and Kamara’s story was like a fairytale! It was great to finally see what was going with Toby during Noah’s and Bean’s story. He was really acting strange and you knew he was hiding something and it was more than just Kamara and the twins. Cass Black is a force to be reckoned with! Love her fierceness and deep love for her boys! It’s always good to see the Ireland clan, the McGowans and all their sexiness in the House! Hope to get the cousins’ story one day.
This was an awesome addition to the Black Series. I absolutely love this family. I had to force myself not to read the book in one sitting because I wanted to savor the experience. After trying to read Black Bella, which I have up on, I feared that Blue Saffire had have us all she had. WRONG. She came back stronger and fiercer than ever in Toby the Protector.
This book kept me enthralled from the beginning to the end. To experience a love that started in high school all the way to adulthood (vicariously) was amazing. They faced so many obstacles, and came out strong and victorious.
I am so looking forward to more journeys with the Black family and their friends.
