More Space Police fun! If you've read others, you know what you're in for. If you want some serious science fiction, this is not for you.

I don't know why I find this author's books so funny but I do! I loved the Abigail Love books, Willy Wankett losing his blanket makes me laugh every time, so I thought I would take a chance and read this one. It really is ridiculous, we have Bushdew and Capstan, the Space Police, see I am laughing even writing that, investigating the escape of a prisoner from a distant asteroid being used as a prison. They zoom between space outposts and Britain, now the United Kingdom of America which is ruled by the President of Earth. All of this is set in the future of course where sarcasm and wit is now an offence. There is no point trying to recap the story as it will only make sense when you start to read it! For me the highlights are the four main characters caught up in a Black Friday sale whilst trying to track down the toaster time machine then them trying to convince the police they are time travellers caught in the wrong place.
This book is just hilarious, it totally appeals to my sense of humour, it is surreal, mad and something to lose yourself in and cheer yourself up. Just brilliant!

Capstan and Dewbush are now charged with finding an escaped convict from a prison in an asteroid belt and also finds out its linked to a time machine.
What then happens is a visit to Cambridge to the escaped scientists competitor to save his life to find out both scientists created their time machines with kitchen appliances.
The comedy is still there while our inept officers find themselves moving through time and finding themselves in truly daunting situations.
Capstan and Dewbush try and make the best out of every situation they find themselves in.
The President of the planet is also suffering not being able to watch a golf tournament and also being visited by the IRS when the asteroid his tax havens on is destroyed when it crashes into another planet!

Another mad cap romp through space... and time!
Capstan and Dewbush have a new case, tracking down an escaped prisoner who invented a time travel device... using a toaster of all things.
Bumbling, baffled yet surprisingly effective, this time the duo will face untold dangers from Jurassic predators, hungry cavemen and, possibly worst of all, Black Friday 'shoppers' in the early 21st century
Usual fast paced, bonkers hilarity from the Space Police!

Capstan and Dewbush are back for another adventure. Oh, I do love this pair. Dewbush with his wide eyed innocence and Capstan still finding his feet (well foot, really, as the other one is bionic) after waking up four hundred odd years in the future.

In this hilarious story, our intrepid duo get a case that involves two eccentric scientists, one of whom is definitely a bit mad, a time travelling machine disguised as a toaster, dinosaurs, Black Friday and a sandwich maker. Meanwhile, the work shy, golf loving President (remind you of anyone?) of the Earth has his own problems with the IRS, back taxes and a giant worm, who can't wait to see his sex tape!

It's utterly, utterly bonkers and brilliant because of it. I loved the passing references to 'Back to the Future' and 'Mr Benn' - so appropriate given the story.

I am loving work from this author, and looking forward to reading more. Highly recommend if you fancy a good giggle. Don't worry if you haven't read the previous books in the series, this works fine as a standalone, but You should read them anyway, because they're great.

I received an ARC from the author and this is a voluntary and honest review.

Yep, the two dunderhead detectives are once again out to solve the crime and capture the criminal. This time it involves time travel via the usage of kitchen appliances. Unlike some other reviewers, I don't like telling fuller parts of the story. Read the blurb, buy it if it fits in the genre that you like. (NB. It's British Humour)

Just believe me that, if you've been reading the previous books in the series, you'll find that it fits in nicely. Highly recommended.

Another five stars for a really funny book. I have to say that I am Absolutely loving this series and can't wait to start book 4.
I adore Davids writing style, his attention to detail is brilliant and I find myself being drawn into the book like I would any crime thriller or suspense novel. It still blows my mind that someone can create such depth of character and detail and not interrupt the humour or pace of the book. I love following the adventures of Capstan and Dewbush. Capstans idiosyncracies are brilliantly entertaining and really add to the storyline.

Although this is the third book in the Space Police series, it was the first one I have read and I didn't particularly feel that I had missed out on anything by doing so as there was enough recap for things to make sense. This book was utterly silly, great fun, and at times I found it far more hilarious than I really should. If you want a light-hearted, sci-fi comedy, then this book certainly fits the bill and I will be seeking out the others in the series.

One of his best works so far, An intriguing look into the pro's and con's of time travel and all with the wonderful Capstan and Bushdew stomping their space police boots all over time and space. Will they destroy the world and time as we know it? Probably but it will be a massive hoot as they do!

So this is book three but there is enough recap so you really don't need to read the first two but, to be honest, I think it would be better if you did!
Again, there is no rest for the wicked as Dewbush and Capstan are given their next assignment as they are on the way back from the scene of their latest triumph; the rescue of the Final FishFinger. It appears that a scientist has managed to escape from the prison asteroid he was incarcerated on. What should be a simple task of hunting him down and recapturing him to return to jail is suddenly catapulted in severity as he is identified as being one of the scientists who invented time travel. Specifically the one who sent himself back in time and got himself incarcerated for doing so, it being illegal and all that! So, our intrepid duo travel to the prison to try and get a clue about where he would have gone and, after a nice homage paid to one of my favourite films, they set off on their endeavours. As well as Capstan & Dewbush's shenanigans, we also hear once again from the President of Earth who is having his own trouble with the tax man harassing him, when all he really wants to do is watch the golf.
And.... the verdict is, it's just as deliciously bonkers as the previous two books. By now I know fully well what I am letting myself in for when I start one of these books and just as with them I was not disappointed. Yes they are a bit silly, but who doesn't need a bit of silly in their lives every so often. Life sometimes gets a little serious so it is good that there's that escape available should the need arise. I also get a little tingle of nostalgia with some of the wonderful one liners that Capstan throws in every so often - as if by magic!!! I also chuckled a lot and that can't be a bad thing although I would not recommend reading this book somewhere serious as it also had me near wetting myself, along with tears running down my face as I laughed a bit more than was dignified...!
In case you haven't already read the first two books in this series, as already mentioned, I would recommend doing so before starting this one. They aren't too long and are quite easy to read so it's not like you have to make a real effort! But, and I am going to kinda stress this bit. The humour contained within these books isn't for everyone. It's a bit base, a bit schoolboy, so if you are unsure, you could always read the sample first before you commit.
All in all, this series is going on in leaps and bounds - goodness only know what will befall our dynamic duo in the next episode!

kindle unlimited, don't know what I'm missing but each one seems to be not as good, and less coherent or rushed or something.

This is another funny installment of the Space Police series. I really liked the time travel aspect to this story. The adventures they found themselves in were amusing and made for a good read. I just put my mind on enjoy mode and read, I didn't ask any deep philosophical questions about time travel so for me it worked. I look forward to the next book to find out what happens to President Trump, oops, I mean Mueller. (Is that just me?)

Difficult read for me

Incompetence is a rising problem globally, so I hardly find it as amusing as I used to. That, coupled with the author’s complete lack of understanding of the law enforcement community as a whole, just makes for an irritating read. This is not even half as good as the Pink Panther series.

Love the time travel element

Capstan and Dewbush hurtle through time but not space and visit three different eras, including the Jurassic before returning home with only a slight difference.
