The seasons of love never seem to run smoothly for Jeremy and Kelsey. They have worked so hard at their relationship, giving all they can, but sometimes, is love enough? This couple has seen more than their fair share of heartache.

With Jeremy's trial and a new baby on the way, while waiting to hear about the huge operation their son, Harrison, has to endure, Kelsey wonders how much more she has to battle against just to be happy.

With Kelsey pushing and pushing, Jeremy is at the end of his tether. Feeling like he is always in the wrong, always having to say he is sorry and always trying to make up for everything that has happened, he truly doesn't think he can take much more.

With a trial, a wedding, an engagement and a birth, the spring fever is raging, but the roller coaster this couple is on is coming to the end. How many times can you say you are sorry? How many times do you have to beg for forgiveness, even when you have done nothing wrong? It's painful and terrifying to admit, but maybe this time, there is no going back, no going forward, no going anywhere.

Spring Fever is the final instalment of an incredible series, that has captured my heart right from the very beginning. Returning to Jeremy and Kelsey, was a troubled and emotive story. Seeing the characters grow and develop into who they have in this story (hang-ups and all) is truly incredible. Having spanned so much of their adult years, I feel this connection with them, that the prospect of letting them go already hurts!

Excerpt:
Kelsey and I had had more bumps in the road than any other married couple I knew. Regardless, we survived and it appeared we were one of those couples who triumphed over adversity, instead of allowing it to destroy us we grew closer and stronger together.

This pair have had and continue to have difficulties in their marriage. Always looking for the positive in every twist and corner of their lives in a bid to fix their marriage. But how many pressures can one couple face? How much adversity is too much?

My heart broke, reading the pairs dual perspective, knowing their own internal battles and demons. Wanting to shake them to see sense. But the author was true to her story and characters. Much to my heartbreak.

Excerpt:
I felt that the war we had been fighting for so long, was finally lost. Each battle we had faced together had taken its toll on us and now there was nothing left.

This isn't a rainbows and unicorns filled love story. If anything is the most 'real' a depiction of marriage I have read in a long time. One of struggle, heartache, doubts and fear. One of real life problems and just pure honesty. It's just simply brilliant.

Excerpt:
...I think love is an infliction not a gift. All it does is cause pain and heartbreak. When you love someone, you can actually destroy them. Who wants that? I think you are a fool if you think you can get a happy ever after, because you won’t, all you will get is jealousy and anger, fights and pain, you will hurt them and they will hurt you. Love is evil and if you had any sense you would run a mile.”

An emotive final ending for this series, but a good one none the less. Because let's face it, we don't all get Happily-Ever-Afters. This story, proves that. But despite it all, their love and respect for one another is beautiful. Just spellbinding.
