This is the second last book I'd read of John Benton's stories from my sister's collection. I quite enjoyed this one as well. The situations the teens are in is almost unchanging with each (new) story, and the message they receive is always the same as well. It is a matter of choice and they always seemed to choose a positive way out of a bad situation and ran with it.
