Now that he's escaped his prison, the dragons will pay...
Eons ago, humanity punished Luc’s people by banishing them to another realm. The demons adapted to their new world, changed their violent ways, and ditched their monstrous alter egos. They lived in peace and prosperity until the dragon mages joined them in exile—and killed them to survive.
Now there is only one demon left, and he’s ready for revenge.
Luc’s plans to rule the world don’t bother Elspeth in the least. A man should have a goal in life. As for his perpetual frown, she’s determined to turn it upside down. All he needs is a great big hug, and if she’s lucky he won’t break like the other boys do. He might even be strong enough to handle her in bed.
But first she’s got to convince her king not to lynch him because apparently someone’s been sucking the souls of dragons. If they’re right, and Luc is to blame, then she might be next.
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
Dragon Point book #6. Can be read as a stand-alone paranormal romance. Adults only! Hilarious and wonderful. A naive and perpetually happy dragon and a peace loving demon are teamed in this entertaining adventure. Be warned: when the drugs wear off or alcohol is involved, happy dragon can turn viscous.
I listened to the audio version, alternating with a paperback. The narration was done by Chandra Skye who did a phenomenal job with the voices and pacing of Elspeth, Babette, and Luc. In particular, Elspeth would go from happy to crying to wonder in an instant which the narrator handled with ease. I enjoyed this so much, I didn’t want to turn it off to go back to work or daily life. I want to start it over and do it all again.
Excerpt for getting to Elspeth just a bit: “Given walking was considered healthy, she set off with a Jaunty step. A car pulled up alongside her. The window rolled down, and a very handsome man peered out of her.
“Can I give you a ride?” he asked.
The kindness of strangers never failed to the delight. “That would be epic” she exclaimed.[..Babette interceded .] Babette reached her, hands planted on her hips. “ What is wrong with you? We are supposed to be on a plane flying home.”
“I told you, I have unfinished business here.”
“ Yes. Yes. You told me Luc needs you. Blah. Blah.” Babette rolled her eyes. A lot of people exercised their orbs in that way around Elspeth.” Excerpt fro Demon Walking by Eve Langlais
I loved this book! It was funny, sweet, hot, and so damn intriguing! I think Elspeth might be my favourite heroine in this series. I loved the way she looked at life and her responses. They always made me smile. And Lucifer was such a great hero. He was so stubborn and hurt from his past, but he stepped up when he needed to. He and Elspeth together were so funny! I loved seeing both of their thoughts and watching as they realised how into each other they were. This was so much fun and I absolutely recommend you read this if you enjoy paranormal romance. While I think it could stand on its own, I would recommend at least reading the previous story so you can get a better understanding for where Luc was held and why. And then I recommend you read them all because this entire series is fantastic!
Also, Eve, YES you need to write more! And why only one? Seems you just introduced four new foes, or perhaps four new future leads? Hint hint! Get typing! :)
I loved h. At first, I thought I'd hate her. Took me a few pages, but I wound up adoring her. She's a young Rose from the Golden Girls, she's so cheerful and naive. Hmm...The safety issue dropped the story to a 2 star for me, but Elspeth's sweetness is going to bump it to 2.5.
The writing was decent, but the safety issue grossed me out so much, I won't be re-attempting this author for fear of other yucks.
Oh dark lord this was absolutely delicious. Amazing!!!
Before I start my review you asked should you do one more? Heck Yes you should please oh please! I ain't to proud to beg! Alright enough of me begging let's get to the book shall we? Well well well we finally see Luc in this story and Elspeth. Oh Lord love a duck loved her. Luc has escaped the Hell world and landed on earth. He's determined to kill every Dragon there to avenge his people. Elspeth is not your typical dragon. She's a lovely girl who likes to help people and has manners. When Elspeth and Babette are sent in a mission to find missing human and dragon girls well it's Babette so you no it's gonna be an adventure. Luc doesn't no what to think of Elspeth he wants her but he doesn't want her lol. Elspeth has a secret one that she keeps from everyone and if she can't get Luc to find himself she just my lose herself. I freaking love this series. Hands down one of the just have series of the year!!! Oh one more thing if you do write another one can it please be Babette's story!!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Luc having been locked away for so many many years was sad. Left all alone he didn’t want to find friendship or love. He just wanted vengeance for the wrongs that were committed to his people but that didn’t stop Elspeth from being attracted to him and not wanting to leave him alone. Elspeth and Luc made a cute couple. Her visions carry into the next story. 🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊
This story. It had action and intrigue, passion and humor. Luc’s heartbreaking history and Elspeth’s need to be positive seem like the two are oil and water. But when the sparks fly, they were gasoline. I absolutely loved every single word of this story, start to finish, and will definitely need to read it again.
This is a fun read. Somehow I feel I have met the overly positive (drug induced) euphoric blond, that is the heroine in this story.
The hero, having escaped from a Hell world, is in desperate need of assistance to assimilate to the new world he has found himself on. Little does he know that the very tall blonde that has captured his attention, is more than willing to help him out with that problem. Whether he likes it or not
My review and an extended sample of the audiobook are posted at Hotlistens.com.
This is the sixth book in the Dragon Point series. This book follows a demon named Lucifer (not the same Lucifer in the Princess of Hell, Welcome to Hell and Hell’s Son). Luc, as he’s known, is a demon from another plan. He’s been a prisoner for most of his life, but he’s free now.
Elspeth is a demon of the Silver Clan, though she is of a yellow color herself (which isn’t the same as the gold of royalty). She’s also a bit crazy if she isn’t on her meds. She also shouldn’t drink or do any drugs because she will lose control.
So Babette, also of the Silver Clan, signs up Elspeth and herself for a mission for the dragon king. Women are going missing in Ireland. Babette are to go and talk to the Emerald Clan to try to find out what is going. That is where Elspeth and Luc meet.
This is another fun book in this series. I really have enjoyed my time with the dragons. As per usual with Eve Langlais, there are laughs in this story. Her stories are usually full of them. I highly recommend Eve Langlais if you’re looking for a really fun and funny paranormal romance.
Narration Chandra Skyye has been narrating this series and several Eve Langlais series for while now. While she’s not my favorite narrator, she does a good job. I’ve listened to several books with her narrating and she’s grown on me.
**I'd like to thank the publisher for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Imprisoned his entire life, Lucifer is released with not a word, and left to rule over a dead land. Fortunately he has enough of the knowledge imparted by his mother before she died, and from the translations he’s done for his jailors, for him to pass through the portal into a new world. However, he now has to learn about this world and how to live in it, so he can conquer and kill all the dragons. He has to – he promised mother!
Elspeth is a kind and loving dragon, missing the gene that makes her greedy and vicious. Her perpetually sunny outlook is an annoyance to all around her, but that doesn’t phase her (or even occur to her). She meets up with Luc and decides that she’ll be his friend.
Friends? Friends with a dragon? Lucifer would laugh, if he knew how. But sure enough, she works her way through his defenses, and he comes to (ack) care for her! When the king becomes aware of humans and dragons going missing in Ireland, he sends Babette and Elspeth to check it out. However, it may be that the perpetrator is the very person Elspeth has decided is her other BFF. Lucifer may be a demon, but he couldn’t drain all these bodies – could he? Would he?
Another fun romp in the Dragon Point series! The storyline is full of twists and turns, and you don’t know “who dun it” until the end. Is it Lucifer? Or is someone trying to pin this on him to get him out of the way? Read to find out!
Luc is a demon that has been incarcerated for his whole life. After the dragon mages set him free on the planes of hell and he finds it in disarray, he decides to take the portal to earth and sets upon his goal of world domination. Then he meets the dragonesses Elspeth and Babette who are on a quest and Luc has to reconcider his original goals.
Pro's: + Luc's foreigness on earth and in society after a lifetime of imprisonment is really well written. He has help from 'butler' Alfred and after a while from the dragon girls. + Elspeth is mentally not completely well, but it is never written as something bad and she actually goes through quite a bit of progression through the story. She's also the first dragoness from this complete series that I not severely dislike. .
Con's: - Another open ending and this time it links to a story that i'm not quite sure of if it is something I own or something that even exists in this moment of time. I really hate cliffhangers on the end of a series without any notion of the continuation of the story.
Even though it is not a truely epic ending of a series ( you get more of that in the previous book), it is a quite romance story between a demon and a dragoness that both have their own issues in this world. The character progression for the both of them is the best in the entire series and I actually though of it as really cute and vanilla.
Elspeth and her bestie Babette are on a mission for the king to find out why so many humans are disappearing. The Emerald Sept requested the help. But now they say there is nothing wrong. Luc short for Lucifer is out of his element. He needs an assistant which he gets in Alfred, of all peoples name. Luc’s mission is to destroy all dragons. They are the cause of his parents and soldiers to be no more. When Elsie ends up in Luc’s house, things change. He couldn’t be attracted to a dragon. Is that even possible?
Elsie is funny as all can be. You have to love her. Luc keeps trying to fight his attraction to her even though she is a dragon. And then we have the secret about Elsie. She is a seer. Even though she is always bubbly, sometimes things just don’t happen to be all roses. There are times your heart hurts for her. She has to shoulder a great deal. But Luc is there and he would never let anything hurt her. I love that these two are also finding themselves. Yes, Elsie already knows but still.
Elspeth has decided now that Deka is mated, Babette needs a new BFF and has decided its her, even if the dragon pretends to run from her. The king sends them on a mission to Ireland to look for missing dragon and human women. Also living in Ireland in a castle with his new butler is demon Luc, hidden by the Jabba twins from the previous book so they could learn to read demon spells. Luc says he's not involved and Elspeth wants Babbette to believe him, mostly cause she's seen visions of the demon in her future. This is actually a really sweet romance amidst the murders and soul sucking dragon mages, as luc is confused but enjoying modern world stuff such as TV, whilst being attracted to Elspeth who is bright and shiny. He wants to be evil, but he has a hard time doing so.
Demon Walking is signature Eve Langlais’ mixture of dark and light, with a “things aren’t always what they seem” theme. Elspeth is bright and bubbly, but this exterior hides a tormented psyche. Luc is dark and tortured, but this hard shell hides a soft heart that needs love and belonging. These two getting together is a perfect balance, but not just because one is good and one is evil . It’s their layers that make them perfect for each other.
Now, I can’t not mention Babette. She appeared in Dragon Reborn and is pure joy in this book. She’s outrageously sarcastic, funny, and ready to fight like the best of the Silvergrace dragonesses. I’m praying to the Langlais muse that another Dragon Point story will come out and include Babette!
Luc is set on vengeance for the suffering of his people. Elspeth is determined to see the positive in everything. And then humans and dragons start going missing....
Oooh this story was awesome. It cleared up a few things from the previous stories and opened up a whole new can of worms. Babette and Elspeths relationship is a lot a fun to read. Especially as the story progresses. The absolute arrogance that is abundant in this Dragon world makes me smile. The way the characters are written and the story is told brings a certain humour to their arrogance. I can’t wait to see how this world evolves further.
I think Luc, Elsie, and Babsi need to start their own detective agency, they were so much fun to see interacting with each other, they would definitely keep us entertained! Of course Luc and Elsbeth would have their mushy moments, because their HEA was really a beautiful thing. This book had me grinning and laughing as often as it had me rooting for someone to get a beat down. The characters were all operating at a discord to each other, but they still seemed to know what the other meant or what they were talking about. Not quite zany or mad capped, because there were some deeper parts, just moments that soothed the soul and made you bask in the sunlight that Elsbeth projected!
Enjoyable madcap comedy of silliness. I have to admit to starting this but not being in the mood for the zaniness so I put it down and forgot about it.. I really cannot make up my mind about this book. I liked the story but felt like I was getting a headache with Elspeth and the speed at which everything was happening. Wasn’t sure about Luc kissing the other woman at first and why that was put in but it all came good. Good how this all played out and I wonder if we will get another in this series.
Elspeth tries to bring happiness around her, because she can see the bleak future. Lucifer or Luc as he introduces himself as, was set free by his jailers. He followed them into a new dimension. He is out for revenge on dragons for killing his kind. Then he meets Elspeth and now has conflicting feelings. Elspeth knows in her heart he won’t hurt her. Can she help him find himself and be able to extract his revenge? Can Luc have his revenge without hurting Elspeth? Can they save their future without dying in the process? Come on in and find out.
good. I really like the h she was so fun and shorta insane. I liked the H as well. the only problem was that there where times that i didn't know what character's perpective i was reading from until i read the beginning of the next chapter and at some points I almost stoped reading because I thought the H was doing stuff(he wasn't) but im glad i didn't stop reading this was such a good book and i liked how the H was with the h.:)
Once I read the first book I was hooked! Well written, great story line, good character plots and loved the humor and comedy or seriousness of the stories. If another book was added, you bet I’d read it. See for yourself and make your own decision, read the series!! I gave this book a 5 star, I would recommend this book series for anyone to read, especially is you like paranormal adult romcoms! ❤️❤️❤️
A fun and cute book that's focused on revenge! Luc is the last living demon and he wants revenge on the dragons for causing that to be. Then he meets Elspath who is like a natural force on her own, but they meet, and all kinds of funny things start to happen. The plot is well developed, I didn't want to put it down! The characters blend nicely, none of them seem all the way right in the head, but they're fun. The twists are unexpected but devious and I loved every second of reading this book!
How do Lucifer and a sunny, optimistic dragon get along?
This tale of adventure is actually a rather deep story of loss and recovery. I loved how Eve Langlais wrote this story so even a demon, a reviled creature, came across as someone you could sympathize with. And the overly enthusiastic, syrupy sweet, joy to the world Elspeth, who at first makes you want to lock in a looney bin, has so much depth to her.
And yes I want to keep reading!

Excitement, danger, sexy and fun is what I love about this author's books. Her ability to put levity into her stories while dealing with betrayal, deadly scenes and action makes her books extraordinary. Can a yellow dragon and a demon find love, peace and prevent dangerous demons from destroying mankind?
I really enjoyed the series, Dragon Point, and hope Eve will carry on. They are all really imaginative and it is fascinating the way the devil's character is turned around.
Please Eve you can't stop at this book. Perhaps you could bring all the heroes and heroines of the six books together to fight the evil Devils.
Warning: This is a series one should be cautious to read back to back to back. That is my error. The first and second book are funny enough but after that, all the false bravado and self inflated self-importance becomes just...not even annoying....instead bleah. Like an overused rag that makes you cringe to use again.
Fun story of Elspath the yellow dragon and her mate Lucifer the demon. Full of little twists as they follow their fate and finally find happiness together. Can't wait to see if there is a bit more to the dragons stories!
Elspeth and Luc are an adorable couple-both bringing out the best in each other! Can’t wait for Ms. Langlais’s next book! The appearance of the four horseman was intriguing 🤔
