Upean näköinen Taistelu ilmaherruudesta -kirja tarttui kirjastosta mukaan jäätyäni ihastelemaan sen sivuilla esiintyviä suuria öljy- ja akryylivärikuvia ilmasodankäynnistä. Kirjan luettuani paljastui, että kuvittaja/toimittaja Jim Laurier onkin yksi maailman arvostetuimmista ilmailualan kuvittajista.
Eikä tekstipuolikaan jäänyt toiseksi hienojen kuvien rinnalla. Parhaiden lentokoneiden valinnat perustellaan hyvin, jokaisesta koneesta käydään läpi sen kehityshistoria, vähän tekniikkaa, erityispiirteitä, operatiivinen käyttötapa ja parhaimpana osana sotaveteraanit kertovat kokemuksistaan koneiden puikoissa.
Eikä tekstipuolikaan jäänyt toiseksi hienojen kuvien rinnalla.
