It has been two years since the ancient gods had attempted to exterminate the human race for their treatment of the Earth. The gods were defeated, and the human was saved by the man-made, hybrid kaiju Chimera. With the gods no longer capable of challenging them, interdimensional beings known as the Dark Ones have returned to destroy the Earth itself. Led by the titan Cronus, the Dark Ones unleash numerous monsters, demons, and giants from the realm of myth onto the planet with the directive to destroy all forms of life. Realizing that the monsters under his command may not be capable of defeating the hybrid, Cronus searches parallel Earths to find a monster who is strong enough to challenge Chimera. After scouring countless Earths, Cronus finds Atomic Rex. With his vast powers, Cronus sends Atomic Rex to Chimera’s Earth and sets the monster loose. The few gods that remain alive after the war with humans, discover Cronus’s intentions. The gods reluctantly ally themselves with humans and Chimera in an attempt to save the planet. Chimera and Atomic Rex will fight their way through the gods and monster of myth as they both head to the greatest challenge either one of them has ever faced in each other.
I have read all of this authors Atomic Rex books as well as the Chimera book and loved absolutely everything I've read by the author but this is probably the first book in this series that I had issue's with. 1.st this is a crossover series with Chimera and Atomic Rex which wasn't the problem the problem for me was there hook up was lacking in some ways. When the two kaijus do finally meet and have there battle although vicious there was just something missing and I felt that for me I was hoping the two kaijus would have been forced to team up and fight the Dark One together. I was so hoping the last Dark One to survive would have been just so powerful that it would have taken both monster's to fight him. But see this is just projecting my wants as a fan of a series I love and it's nothing to do with the authors skills he did a great job telling the story the way he wanted too I was just hoping to see more than what we got. 2nd very character heavy the book needed more page's to deal with all these characters. 25 extra page's would have been great especially with fleshing out.more of what the hell where the Nymphs doing lol. And finally this is over all good there where just issue's I had that bugged me personally other readers may disagree and that's fine just please read.this book it is good and thanks to the author for writing it for us!
Hello, you gotta love these stories. Yes, you have to let go of all your cynical self and be a kid again. If you can do that, you'll have a heck of a good time. Thanks.
