Received an ARC at no cost to author..Let me say to stick with the book! When I started reading I had my doubts, I thought that I was not going to enjoy but decided to continue to read and am happy that I did because I did end up enjoying the book..Gray was a race car driver and apparently couldn't get it up unless he was driving and as crazy as that sounds there were woman still lining up. He ends up meeting Kate as a favor to his friend who asks him to let her stay with him while hiding from an abusive ex. You get surprised with Kate, she was sassy and you are not expecting that since her previous relationship, I think I was expecting someone meek. I am happy to say I was yet again...OK friends I will let you get your conclusions to story since I will not tell anymore..Get it my friends..Enjoy!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is the second book in the Full Throttle Series; which is about race car drivers. Loosely by fiction they are NASCAR drivers, however there are a lot of discrepancies to those into the sport. I guess it's a mix between Indy an NASCAR, but I still like the books. I didn't struggle with the lack of correct detail in this book as much as with Scott. (Folks I'll be honest, I'm married to someone who works Emergency Services for NASCAR and I've been around that inside circle for almost 10 years now. And I read book one on the road to the championship race at Homestead Miami)
In this book, which is a stand alone, we get acquainted with Gray Denton, who had a cameo appearance in the first book, Scott. Gray has a wild reputation with the ladies, and has various escapades that occur only in his car, personal one that is, as any race fan knows it's not going to work in a race car. His car owner isn't happy with his off track behavior, and wants him to clean up his act.
Enter one unsuspecting Kate. She is the little sister of his best friend, and we all know how that goes. Haven't seen each other and years, and Wow! Did she grow up or what?! Kate's trying to put distance between herself and ex, and Gray's is a safe place to hide as far as her brother is concerned. After all every big brother will kill their best friend for getting involved with Little Sis. I'm not calling this a spoiler, because we all know what's going to happen :) One thing leads to another and well of course they are headed down a slow burning road of desire.
I found this relationship to be more sweet than burning, which most of Ms. Parker's story lines have a slow burn. And I'm not saying I didn't like it because I did, it was just a different feel, and it worked for these two characters.
I look forward to the next book, curious to see who it's going to be.

I confess, that I've loved every book that I've read that's been available in the UK by Hazel Parker. She writes real fast, paced, page turning, hot and steamy love stories with a punch. This is the second in the Full Throttle Series, with Scott being the first and that was a real WOW story and a full five stars. In Mr Gray, we meet Kate who is trying to hide from her abusive ex stalking boyfriend and her brother just happens to be Gray's best friend. He ask a a favour that Gray can't refuse as his friend has helped him so much in the past, so Gray is going to help 'hide' Kate and protect if necessary. The two of them haven't seen each other in years and he is blown away by how stunning she is now. All the gawkiness and shy little girl have gone and standing before him is a beautiful young woman that he wants to get to know much better. She makes him feel so different about his attraction of her. However, she doesn't know his reputation or of his 'quirk'! he is a very talented race car driver who is a womaniser and can only get off whilst driving at high speed. His boss wants him to clean up his act and so he asks Kate if she will pretend to be his girlfriend and what's more - she agrees. Realistic characters that are the type you'd like as a friend - Kate's sarcastic wit is brilliant and could make anyone love her. Gray's true personality shines through at the end and he isn't the womanising idiot that he seemed to be at the beginning. But how will Kate deal with his quirk?? To find out this and more...grab this book and read it. I did read it in one go as I couldn't bear to put it down. A real treat of a story which was so much ,more than just a girl getting together with her brother's best friend. This is cleverly written with passion, humour and realism to make it a real page turner and a winning combination of a book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. I got to say when I started reading this book, I had my doubts. When it started off I thought here we go, another wham bam thank you mam romance. Boy was I wrong. This story was so much more than that.
In this story Mr. Gray Denton is a talented, sexy in demand race car driver. He has it all. Money, fame and hot chicks. But he has a problem. He is only able to get a hard on while driving his car fast with a woman pleasuring him and there is no shortage on supply of willing women to warm his gear stick.
Out of nowhere, his best friend calls in a favor. He needs him to give his sister a safe place to live and hide from her abusive ex-boyfriend. After all that his friend has done for him how can he turn him down. One problem he was not expecting her to be so perfect. She really makes his heat stir. Unlike any woman he has ever met.
In this book there is so much more than hot sex. There is danger, love, trust and high speeds. I started reading and could not put it down. It was a page turner and I loved every minute of it. Like I said in the beginning, I was expecting this book to be like most of the regular romances, hot sex and then over. I am so glad I was wrong.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and watching the journey between Gray and Kate. Kate was a loveable character, with her snarkiness and overall wonderful personality. She could friend even your worst enemy. Gray was a cocky SOB in the beginning, but as the story moved forward and you learned more about him you realize that is just his cover. He is actually really sweet and caring.
I highly recommend this book. Just be prepared to curl up and read the whole thing, because you will not want to put it down till you are done.

The second book in the Full Throttle Series continues to thrill the reader. Gray Denton is a famous race car driver with a “bad boy” reputation for attracting the ladies! Despite his talent and popularity, the owner of his car would prefer that he clean up that reputation caused by his “off the track” activities.
Gray’s best friend needs his help. His little sister, Kate, has a violent and controlling stalker ex-boyfriend, Kyle James, whom she is trying to get away from. She needs protection and so his best friend, Paul, asks if he will allow Kate to stay with him. Gray owes his friend and is willing to do what he can to help.
As they get to know each other now as adults, Gray and Kate become friends. Slowly building the relationship makes it very believable, and the chemistry is there. Kate helps him deal with difficult situations arising from over-zealous fans, as well as in cleaning up his act as she poses as his girlfriend to imply more stability in his life. Can their fake relationship become something more real for both of them?
This was well written and I particularly enjoyed how their relationship grew. Kate is feisty and very likable. If anyone can cure Gray’s “quirks”, she‘s the one who will succeed! Don’t miss this book! I am sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

An awesome follow up to Scott, the first book in the series. We find Gray in the fast life of a race car driver, getting anything he wants, especially women. He takes advantage of it, he lives a great life, but not a full life. There are rumours about him and his lifestyle and you will have to read the story to find out if they are true or not. He does a favour for a friend by letting his sister stay at his place while she is needing some downtime from an unhealthy situation. Their first meeting is explosive and kind of funny, they get over it and start to build a "friend" relationship which is fine by them both. Circumstances evolve and they need each other to help them get out of tight spots and feelings escalate. Sacrifices are made, and there are repercussions for their actions. They do get their HEA and Ms. Parker provides some twists and turns and it's well worth the read to follow their journey.

Mr. Gray tells us about the race car driver Gray Denton who supposedly has some unique requirements when it comes to his love life. He is gearing up for the championship when his best friend's sister Kate comes to live with him due to her own problems. Though they start off at the wrong foot they manage to become very good friends, being there for each other and helping the other. Under one such circumstance where Kate happens to play the role of his girlfriend, Gray starts seeing their arrangement as more than a facade and Kate is equally attracted to him. So what happens when they both give in to their desire, Kate's past come back with vendetta and more importantly, how Gray is gonna convince his bestie that Kate is the one for him and he is worth having her in his life.. Its a good one to read. Gray, being the arrogant and cocky athlete sure is to steal hearts and Kate where she helps him under dire situations is Soo sweet.. Go ahead and indulge yourself in the world of Gray.

This book took me by surprise, the beginning was a start like I didn't expect, but please keep reading!!!

Review: This is the second book in the Full Throttle Series (Scott is book 1) and I have to say I really enjoyed this story. It is different in the main story line. Scott and his wife do make a small ‘appearance’ in this story but is NOT tied to the story. This one can be read as a standalone, but why when you have such a fun read with the first book.
There are intense moments with Kate and her ex that some may find hard to read…but I feel that those scenes are necessary. The focus of the story boils down to this… ‘Friends turned lovers are still friends’, (but oh how sweet it is when that friendship develops into something more meaningful and long lasting)!!!

There are things happening in Kate's life that remind Gray of his own past and he knows that he has to do something. However once she is there he wonders how well he can keep himself in check. What happens in one night leads to something more happening. Can they both have someone there for them or will this all blow up in their faces before they can find out?
This is an amazing story that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. There are some ups and downs in it that I really want to tell you about but don't want ruin it for for anyone else. I will say I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I loved the latest from Hazel Parker and her Full Throttle series. What starts as a rocky start between Gray and Kate ends up being the thing they didn't know they could find, but it won't be without challenges. Kate winds up in Florida and in Gray's apartment when her brother, his best friend, asks for help when she is trying to get away from her ex. Gray is content with his life, working behind the wheel, being a top race car driver and no relationships to get in the way. Their first meeting is one for the books and yet they grow a deep connection that neither expected. Kate agrees to help Gray out with his image since he opened his home to her and I loved every page. This is steamy, exciting, amusing, sweet and romantic, but also with just a touch of disturbing violence. Gray is cocky, fascinating, sweet and charming. Kate is tough, bold, snarky and amusing. There's an instant spark between them, but they want to be friends so they fight it. Until Kate poses as Gray's girlfriend. It gets much more difficult after that. There is drama from a girl that doesn't give up getting Gray, and issues with Kate's ex. It's a fun and entertaining story. And I absolutely LOVE Gray's issue, and how completely changes. This is a great series. If you're a race fan, especially a Nascar fan, it's a little confusing. But it doesn't take away from the storyline.

Quick Read. Mr. Gray a hot race car driver with all the reputation of a star. Hot sex in a car only type of guy. Gray's best friend who is a cop ask for him to watch out for his sister. Kate is trying to leave a abusive relation ship, but after a year the guy won't leave her alone. She goes to stay with her brothers best friend. Things start out bad when she shows up, but boy does it get intense as we go. For the first time Gray is getting feelings he has never had with sex. Can Gray win the races? Can he keep Kate safe? Will these feelings for her lead somewhere? What will his best friend think of him and his sister? I received an arc copy for my honest review.

This story started out with a scene of Gray with OW in his car. I am not a fan of scenes with OM/OW so I was a little disappointed. I kept on reading and I am glad I did. Once Gray meets Kate and gets to know her he becomes completely enthralled with her, she consumes his thoughts. Kate is sweet and feisty. She has moved to Florida to hide from her ex boyfriend and moves in with her brothers best friend, Gray. The two start out as friends but things definitely heat up quickly. This was an enjoyable, sexy, steamy and sweet read with a little suspense added.

This was such a fun book to read. I love that they became friends and tried to avoid the instant attraction. I loved that Gray wasn’t an actual playboy as his reputation demanded, he was actually a really great guy. Kate runs from her crazy ex not realizing she is running to her future. As both Kate and Gray avoid their attraction, the bond they form is solid and strong. Kate agrees to help Gray with his image not realizing that their fake relationship may end up meaning more, and that her feelings may not be one sided. I was on the sidelines cheering them on and hoping they would end up together. Unfortunetely her past rears its ugly head and their fate. It’s a great read.

I have read quite a few of Ms. Parker's novels but this one....this one was a GEM!!!! The storyline was breathtaking and intoxicating. I have never encountered the most adorable, steamy and loving lead characters. Including the knowledge of Racing (I have none) I didn't get the pleasure of reading the first book in this series but I will tell you...READ THIS ONE!!!! I am definitely looking forward to more from this talented author!!

Loved this book! And it was one heck of a concept behind Gray's character that I didn't expect from am alpha male. Great story with real depth behind the characters and some seriously hot passion! Absolutley fantastic read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy for this book.

While the storyline seems familiar, the author does a great job developing the characters and offering her own interpretation of falling for the best friend's little sister. It is part of a series but easily read as a standalone.
I liked that you get to really learn about their pasts and understand their choices. He hides a lot and never connects with a woman until she enters his life. She had been thru a lot of drama with her ex and never expected to fall from him. They really do make a great couple and strengthen once another.

What a great read, the storyline is enough to keep you entertained and the characters Kate and Gray had a wonderful chemistry, I couldn't put it down. Kate is Gray's best friends sister and is staying with him as a favour to her brother, she's hiding from her ex, things heat up when she pretends to be Gray's girlfriend to appease his PR.

Hazel Parker did it again!
The second book in the Full Throttle serie was as good as the first one. Usually the ’second’ is not as good as the first, but not here.
The interaction between Gray and Kate was Intense right from the beginning. Their friendship that evolved into love. The story around them, her ex, the racing world - it all made it good. Meeting some old friends from the first book is a plus.

This is such a fun read, lots of things pop up that you won't be expecting. Even if you are not into car racing you will still love that book.

Revelations! Smooth flowing, steady paced read with more than a few surprises that had me sitting up and taking note. The scenes, the main characters and the chemistry they find between those 2 are true to life realistic. Not rushed, but ran at a natural pace. The storyline was as interesting as it was believable. Hazel did an incredible job keeping the focus on the read and in the moment. Excellent job Hazel.

A good story that's full of energy. The book starts with Gray being a typical cocky race driver. Luckily the appearance of Kate gives us the possibility to other sides of him. If you read the author's previous book "Scott" you definitely shouldn't miss this one. For my part I tend to 4 stars but if you like it steamy it's probably 5 stars. I read an advanced copy of this title.

Gray is a NASCAR driver with a playboy reputation but when his best friend asks him to let his sister stay with him to protect her from an abusive ex, he can’t say no. When he meets Kate sparks fly. This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama the story held my interest throughout. Kate and Gray have amazing chemistry. I really liked it.

Gray likes to live dangerously, especially when he's behind the wheel. When Kate comes back into his life, Gray finds that she's no longer the little girl she once was. The chemistry between them sparked and snapped, and they were indeed in full throttle with each other. Loved reading about bad boy Gray getting his wild ways tamed by little Miss Kate!

Hazel Parker hits this one out of the park...great story, endearing characters, some unexpected events...and plenty of steam all to deliver a wonderful story that will gift the reader with plenty of smiles and a guaranteed exhale. Loved it! My reader copy was smoking hot! This is my favorite in the Full Throttle series.

Poorly written
I normally will power through and finish a book. With this one I just couldn't do it. It was so poorly written the dialog was stilted and didn't flow at all. The H was an arrogant, self centered as$. The author obviously knew little about racing or racecar drivers. The best part of the book was the lack of typos.

Omg once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. This is a story of two people who find themselves becoming very good friends who tell each other everything to lovers who have to make some very hard but yet easy decisions and put the other first. This is a story of love.

I absolutely loved it. Very captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
