‘Some husbands bought their wives flowers, others bought jewellery. Mine? He returned the things he stole.’

I should have known better. Hot guys didn’t hit on big girls without an agenda. They didn’t approach them in bars and talk their way into your bed. They also didn’t make you feel beautiful and proud of your curves. But I was going through a dry spell—actually, I’d kind of been going through a dry spell all my life—and dry spells sucked. Of course I slept with him.

I was such a fool.

I believed his lines. Fell for his easy smile; the man swept me off my feet, rocked my world, then robbed me blind.

I really needed a three date rule.

Angry and embarrassed, I engaged the help of my best friend to track the thief down and make him return what he took. But when I found him, he wasn’t alone....

What does a girl do when she finds not one thief, but an entire family?

She marries into it, of course.

My Rating:

3.5

Favorite Quotes:

Guys often approached her, but she was painfully shy and socially awkward. The last time a hot guy spoke to her, he asked if he could buy her a drink and she just looked at him, then blurted, “I put make-up on dead people.” Yes, Alesha was a beautician at a funeral parlour—a fact I kept advising her to save for at least the second date, but her awkwardness always beat out her common sense.

I, on the other hand, was short and a little on the round side. Growing up, my aunt used to assure me that I was like a caterpillar, eating my way through all the leaves until I spun my cocoon and emerged a beautiful butterfly. She lied. I’m still a chubby caterpillar.

Um… please tell me that’s a tube of tennis balls you’re carrying in your pants… I, uh… think a baby elephant is missing a trunk somewhere…

Why would I be afraid? I stand in a refrigerated room and put make-up on corpses for a living. This is the most excitement I’ve had in years.

We’d gone to see the ballet at the Opera House and ridden the ferry to the zoo. I’d thrown up over the side and she’d laughed it off, telling me the fish would be grateful for the extra treat. I’d cried harder because we’d been eating fish and chips. I didn’t want the fish to be cannibals.

My Review:

I am conflicted about how to evaluate this book. On one hand, it had a sweet and highly erotic love story with an interesting premise, and the writing was often humorous and witty enough to bring a smirk to my lips, but… I struggled with some of the storylines as well as the characters. Nate was an erotic, filthy talking, porn-star worthy lover with a huge sacred member that was ultimately and aptly named Goliath. Yet Nate and his peculiar family were unapologetic criminals with a complicated family dynamic. They were sexy, crass, spoke with prolific profanity, and had a callous disregard for their victims or working people in general. I had initially liked the feisty Holland until a night of earth-shattering sex seemed to have the pernicious effect of obliterating all rational sense, as she devolved into an addled moron.

After their night of porn-star worthy sex, Nate had drugged her and stripped her apartment bare of all her worldly possessions while she slept, even took her purse and ID, and stole her car. The best sex she had ever had turned out to be costly on every level. But honestly, who would give a man a second chance after that? Or, a third chance after he did it again? But she did and he did, and then they oddly ended up married. Holland loved her husband and wasn’t afraid of him, but she feared his family, and for good reason. Most women often feel as if their mother-in-law would like to kill them off or see them gone, but this steely mother-in-law was no small menace, she informed the hapless Holland, more than once, exactly how she would slit her throat – yikes. I think I would have made tracks well before but most certainly would have after that, Goliath be damned!

Wow. I seriously hope women like the heroine don’t exist in real life because she’s a fucking idiot with no brain cells.

A guy deliberately seduced you, fucked you, drugged you and stole the entirety of your home, and fled. And the first thing you thought of upon seeing him again is how HOT HE IS??? ArE YOU FUCKING STUPID?!

Wow! Lilliana has an awesome new series here. Fool Me Twice is just as the title reads. I loved the story for it being different and new. I had emotions all over the place. One minute I was a hot sweaty mess and the next minute I wanted to slam Goliath in the door and mash it. Then I was back to the hot sweaty mess again and back to mashing it again.
Holland is a curvy full figure women. Full of life and knows finding Mr. Right was going to be a challenge. Holland went to a Club with her friend Alesha just for a night of fun. This night was a karaoke night. The girls talked Holland to get up and sing a song. She did and everyone loved it. Especially Ben! Holland went to the bar to get a drink and Ben approaches her complimenting on her singing talent. They talked and she was getting encores for another song. She did her other song and all the while thinking if "Ben" was a chubby girl chaser. In the end he was. She invited him over to her place for a hot night of sex.
"Ben" is a tall dark man with a penis bigger than any man Holland has ever been with. But their night was unforgettable night. But Holland woke up the next morning to an empty apartment. She had been robbed of everything she owned. Including a heirloom that was her mothers. Well Holland replaced everything but was still determined to get her heirloom back. She searched the club every night until her aunt suggested she try a gym. Bingo!
"Ben is no longer Ben his name is Nate! Holland proceeds to tell him she wants her heirloom back and that was it. But Nate's has her in another hot mess. Holland decides to try Nate for a second time thinking she could trust him. NOT! Only this time she wakes up on the floor with no bed and all her new furniture gone again. He Fooled Her Twice.
From here Hollands aunt had come up with an idea if this was to ever happen again. The story goes on and Holland is in for ride she never wanted to go on. Seems theres more to Nates story and she is going to find out with the help of Alesha.
I gave this 5 stars for the story being fresh and new and the excitement in it. There is suspense, hot sex, and my emotions were crazy reading it. I LOVED IT! Leave it to Lilliana to come up with great new series. The story flowed well and I never once lost any interest in it. In fact I stayed up late one night reading it. I couldn't put it down. The story has a PERFECT HEA! Your going to love this series and Im so looking forward to the next book.

I can usually suspend disbelief for smutty romance novels because they're supposed to be fun and unbelievable and over the top... but this one left me feeling unsettled and not entertained in the least bit. ****THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS****

So, not only does our love interest have sex with, drug, and then rob our MC once... he does it again. And she lets him! She willingly lets the man who drugged and robbed her back into her house again because... well, he's got a big dick, y'all. Who cares if he steals everything again? He's got a golden schlong and broad shoulders. She even tells her friend that it would have been worth having her CAR STOLEN to be able to sleep with him.

Joke's on her because he stole her car. Twice. And all of her furniture.

I read a lot of cozy mysteries, so I'm used to plucky women who go after the bad guy by themselves or drag a reluctant friend along for the ride. But I couldn't stomach this whole "you got caught sneaking around our hideout so... marry me or my mother is going to kill you" thing. I especially couldn't get behind the fact that he was doing sexual things to her while discussing how his family discussed killing her. Nothing gets the ol' juices flowing quite like murder talk right before sex...

And then his brothers are so disrespectful to her, calling her "Hole" because she's just "a hole for their brother to fuck" and one comments (on her wedding day, no less) "let's get that gold c--t married". Wow. Wow. Wow.

Our MC has plenty of chances to reach out for help but she doesn't. Because... because he's got a big dick and she's in love with it. It's huge. H U G E. That's all that matters. Who cares that she's basically a prisoner? Who cares that both she and her best friend were forced to marry two thieves or face, you know, being murdered? Who cares that the matriarch of the family backhands her hard enough to make her face swell before her wedding?? None of that matters, y'all, because he has a huge penis.

That ending. Get out.

When I read the blurb my first thought was what a unique concept for a book.

Holland was a girl after my own heart she’s a bigger girl happy in her own skin which is such an attractive quality. She spends an unforgettable night with ‘Ben’ but waking up the next morning she finds that he’s cleared her flat out.

I loved Holland, when she decides to go her own investigation I was giggling so much. I wanted to go along for the ride you just know she’s going to get in trouble. Tracking Ben down is not what she expected she definitely gets blindsided by what she finds.

My feelings for Nate were so conflicted, I liked him I hated him I liked him <—— see conflicted. He has brothers hot sexy brothers who help add some drama and fun times.

This was a book I couldn’t put down, if you need a laugh buy this book.

This book had an interesting premise and I was kind of excited to read it. But when I started to read it, I found it hard to suspend my disbelief. It started out way too fast. I would have preferred more of a build-up and I kind of found the heroine a little too insecure for my liking. It was really bothersome. Now, in full disclosure, I started reading this while having a nasty head cold, so I was in a reading funk. So, maybe I’ll try reading it again when I’m not so under the weather. But, for the time being, this is going into my DNF pile.

I got this book from Lilliana Anderson at BBTB earlier this year, on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read it. It hooked me right from the start, I could instantly tell it was going to be a fun one to read.

“One night with this guy, and I’d be singing Salt n Pepa's ‘Push It’ for weeks.”

I liked Holland and felt that she was a relatable character. She's a curvy girl with those same negative thoughts that we all have about our bodies, but she also has a lot of spunk and humour as well. I also liked Alesha and I am really intrigued by her side of the story and can't wait to read her book, which is next in the series.

I wasn't too sure about Nate, and honestly, I'm still not sure how I feel about his character. He was great in some ways, but others I was kind of like..ummm...not sure how to feel about what you just said/did.

The rest of the Cartwright family are also a bit of an enigma, and I will be keen to get their stories as well.

I was so enamoured with this book, that before I had even finished the first two chapters, I had ordered PB's of the rest of the series, so I am sitting here impatiently waiting for the day when my mail arrives hehe. I really need to know what happens with all these characters.

This book also threw me for a loop a few times, with things I was definitely not expecting to happen, and one of those in particular was the ending. Fool Me Twice will have you laughing, it will have you frustrated, and it will leave you intrigued. But most of all it will leave you wanting more, and I can' wait to devour the rest of these books.

I absolutely love Lilliana Anderson.. I don't think I have read a book of hers I didn't enjoy.
Nate and Holland (Duchess) cracked me up.. there were parts of the book I wanted to throat punch Nate but then he went and did something swoon worthy... then I wanted to throat punch again...
Ben aka Nate is a tall drink of sexy with the "manhood" to match. Holland aka Duchess is a beautiful full figured woman with the voice a angel..
Nate and his family are a band of thieves.,. they find a unsuspecting victim and rob em blind.. that is exactly what happens with Holland. After a night out with her girls she meets Ben (Nate) and she takes him home.. only to wake up the next AM after a amazing night of sex with ALL OF HER STUFF GONE!! After a month or so with no luck finding him she ends of tracking him down.. Only wanting one items back (her mother heirloom hairpin..).. he says he will find it.. Once he finds and delivers it to her... and another round of amazing sex.. she kicks him out.. only to wake up with everything gone AGAIN!!.... This book was great.. I cant wait for more of Nate and Holland in Sam and Alisha's book... Bring it on!!

Note: This ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. The full review can be read on Dog-Eared Daydreams.

Fool Me Twice had the most unique story line I had ever come across so far this year, and it made for one hell of an entertaining read. I loved that Holland was as kickass as she was, finding courage even when caught in a situation that she felt as if all choice had been taken from her. On the other hand, Nate is one of those heroes that I wasn't all that sure what to do with. Smack him across the cheek or give him a smack on the lips? Choices, choices. But there was so much more to them and to their story than a good girl who walks the straight and narrow falling for the bad boy who could find the a shortcut anywhere, anyhow. This book had angst, albeit in small doses, and while there is resolution as far as Holland and Nate's story is concerned (I so did not see that ending coming!), I've got questions about at least three peripheral characters. Five-plus stars! ♥

I voluntarily reviewed a complementary copy from the author with no obligation.

I loved that this book didn't follow the norm for the male lead. In this book, the male lead is a thief, who steals from the female lead, not once but twice! It certainly gives you mixed feelings as you read it. One minute you aren't sure you like him because of what he does, but then the next, you find him to be charming and romantic.
A great, funny read, which leaves you wanting more. I hope the author writes a story for each of the brothers as I think they could be quite interesting.

Sometimes, when you love an authors books & you read one that is different from their normal writing, it can be a bit of a disappointment. Happy to say not this time. I loved this book. So very different from the authors other books, especially the one where I cried bucket loads of tears. It was hilarious and fun. This was an extremely enjoyable read and I can't wait to read the next one.

This was something completely different to what I’ve come to expect from Lilliana. Usually I’m grabbing tissues because she is breaking my heart but not this time. Fun characters (except for one who’d I wish got a punch in the vajayjay). This storyline is very different to what I usually read and some will love it to bits and others might need more convincing. That being said, it’s written well but we expect nothing but awesome writing from Lilliana.

There is just so much about this book that I maybe shouldn't have liked or that shouldn't have worked. However, it is written with such skill and depth that, despite and maybe because of this, I loved the book.

You do need to suspend your disbelief a little with this book, if you can do that what you will get is one fast paced, twisty, emotional, steamy and funny read. The author even alluded to the crazy plot at one point
I suppose it was the same logic that girls in horror films subscribed to.
Yes, there were times when I almost rolled my eyes at either the actions of the main characters or the plot line but it's worth letting this go and just enjoying the ride.

The book is written entirely from Holland's POV so whilst I totally fell in love with her,
- now she knew that big girls scored hot guys too. I was the best role model ever.
And actually she was, because whilst she had to make unpleasant decisions for her own safety, she never ever lost sight of her true self. I didn't get as good a feel of Nate, and TBH at times he came across as both selfish and a touch arrogant. Rest assured that guy totally redeemed himself by the end of the book.

The story starts of really light and bounced along like the best of rom-coms. When Holland is robbed for the second time, the book takes a darker turn. There are still some very humorous moments, with plenty of giggles along the way but there is also angst and unhappiness. I really had no idea where the story would go and there were so many little twists and surprised in the second half of the book I wasn't sure how the issues between Nate and Holland would be resolved, if they would be resolved, whether Nate was actually our hero (#TeamToby), would he give it all up to become a carpenter (until the library ladder incident!) and whether I would be disappointed in Holland's ultimate decisions.

OMG this story had me gripped and I flew through it in one sitting. The ending was perfect. Though I'm happy to see that Alesha and Sam will be getting their story, as I really need to know why that girl's personality took a 180 degree turn.

And if you're reading this Ms Anderson I'm begging for a HEA for Toby because he totally stole my heart. #TobyNeedsLove.

This is a tricky story to review. Holland meets Nate at a bar and takes him home as you do. After sleeping with him has all her belongings stolen, how you ask I won’t spoil that. Feeling foolish and pissed off she’s determined to find him to get back a precious heirloom. She finds him and his attitude pissed me off. He was very blasé about the whole issues. Excuse me, you stole her possessions and fobs it off as ‘we keep the insurance company in business’. She falls for his bs/charm again, sleeps with him and is robbed again which I thought was quite comical. Fooled twice, most would think is she stupid but I didn’t feel she was. She went with the moment and unfortunately was duped again. Several things after this fact didn’t sit well with and again I will not spoil, some to me seemed far fetched.

Go out they said. Have fun they said. Hook up they said.

Yeah, that worked well for lovely Holland!

I freaking adore her. She has body image issues like so many of us do, and I couldn't help but cheer for her when she meets McHottie.

Now, him, I am still not sure what I think of him. He is sweet and sexy and all kinds of goodness wrapped in a skin suit. Then he is a d!ck and an ar$e and I want to beat the crap out of him with my kindle.

Oh what an emotional roller coaster we are taken on with *him* and Holland. I laughed, I swooned, I fanned myself cos things get reeeeal hot. Then I cried, I threw my Kindle across the couch, I cursed so loud I am sure the neighbours were wondering what was going on.

I have a love/hate relationship with quite a few of the characters actually! I know as we get more of this series (yes, there will be more) I will love and hate them all still - and I can't wait for it!

I love love love that Ms Anderson writes her books in Australia - so many Aussie authors set their books overseas, and it is always refreshing when they don't.

Fast paced, beautifully written, I am impatiently awaiting more.

Please don't make me wait too long!

Curvaceous, sassy and smart - Holland is my fav heroine

"Some husbands bought their wives flowers, others bought jewellery. Mine, he returned the things he stole. It made my heart soar."

From the minute I read these words I knew I had to read this book. Lilliana you have done it again! You've given your readers two wonderful characters that are like no others before them. FOOL ME TWICE was everything I hoped it would be and so much more! This is the quinessential Lilliana, drama, comedy and tears all rolled into one magnificent tale.

I absolutely adored Holland (Duchess). She was a woman who owned her curves and knew when and how to flaunt them. She was sassy, smart, had a wonderful reportoire of one-liners and extremely loyal to those she loved. When she meets "Ben" at a nightclub and he shows more than a slight interest in her, they end up back at her apartment, for a night of hot sizzling sex. The next morning "Ben" is gone and so is everything that she owns. This is where the story really starts to take off and we find out just what type of woman Holland really is.

"Ben" is not really who he says he is. He's really Nate, an with a really dubious lifestyle. I'll admit, he was a rogue and a scoundrel, but the more I read, the more I fell for him. Nate is defiitely "all man", swoonworthy and dead sexy. But things aren't always as they appear to be. There is more to Nate than what he initially shows Holland. Will Holland be able to stay with the man who has defied her trust, not once but twice? Or does she really have no say in how her life is to be lived?

This tale is superbly well written, with many moments that had me laughing out very loudly. I don't think that I will ever be able to look innocently a sliding library ladder again. There is drama surrounding Nate's family, his mother is such a nasty piece of work. Character development is extremely well done, I can't wait to read more about Nate's four brothers.

For an all round enjoyable read I defintely wouldn't skip this one. Lilliana has once again excelled and proven why all her books are a MUST READ. Definitely a Top Ten 2018 read for me.

I'm very conflicted how I feel about Fool me Twice some things I loved and other things made me a bit angry . This would be the first book I've read by Lilliana Anderson and I know I'll be reading more by her but I'm still unsure if I want to read more about the secondary characters because they were a big part of what I hated . This story line was very promising the blurb intrigued me and made me think of oceans eleven but I thought the reason why they do what they do was a little eh . Holland and Nate shared amazing chemistry their banter had me laughing while also fanning myself over all they were a great couple . Holland again I have conflicted feelings about she's funny , sweet , talented , beautiful I'm a fan of a curvy heroine but she was really down on herself about her weight , easily dicknotized , and just I don't know really . Nate was ok he is alpha sexy and very well endowed but he did make me not like him at times wish we got some point of view chapters it would of helped me connect to him more . Usually secondary characters who come a crossed as jerks quickly make me fall for them as the story goes on that wasn't the case like the heroines best friend loved her but by the middle of the story there was no love for me and the brother who I didn't really like at first was one I loved the most so I don't know if I want to read the next book it's going to be about the best friend and the worst brother in my opinion ( sad face ) . Over all I still don't know how to feel .

I was fooled and didn’t see it coming. Could you fall in love with someone who stole from you, not once but twice? Holland and Nate’s relationship is full of ups and downs. Especially if your husband was a thief. But it was love and you made a sacrifice.

It all started with a bachelorette party and karaoke. Holland waking up the next day from a one night stand to find out she was robbed of everything. Feeling humiliated, she was determined to find the man whole stole from her. Luck was finally on her side when her eyes landed on her thief, Nate. Still remembering her wild night, Holland shouldn’t feel turned on by being in the same room as Nate. With only wanted a special memento back, Nate would be in contact. With not repeating her past mistakes, she was determined to not getting duped again. But Holland woke up to find her place empty again. So what happens when you follow a thief and his brothers and get caught? You either get married to keep quiet or you go in a ditch.

Holland has a hard time accepting Nate’s profession but she loves him. However their is one thing she can’t and will not accept and leaves him on the spot. Nate only knew one way to live. Greed and the thrill to make a haul, it’s the only thing that was important to Nate. That all changed when he was with Holland. He knew that things had to change if he wanted to be with her.

I enjoyed Fool Me Twice. Holland was hilarious and witty. And the love Nate had for Holland. Nate was swoon worthy and alpha with protecting her.

When I read the blurb to Fool Me Twice, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was intrigued, as it sounded different than any book that I've read, however, I found myself completely floored. Holland is a curvy woman, who knows that finding Mr. Right is a huge challenge for her, since society has a certain look for women. She goes to a club with her friend for a girls night when she meets Ben, who she invites home with her for a hot night of sex. The next morning she wakes up to an empty apartment, as she's been robbed of everything, even an heirloom from her mother. Everything else is replaceable, but she's determined to get that heirloom back. She hunts Ben down, finding out his name is really Nate, and when she wakes up, he's robbed her again. And this is where it really gets crazy if you can believe that. This story was a crazy ride from hell that had all of my crazy emotions out to play. I would go into more details but I already said almost too much, but with what I already said, you can only imagine how mad at Ben/Nate I stayed most of the story. And even Holland had my back up, letting herself get fooled twice, although I loved her & had her back. There were breaks from the crazy angst, with the hijinks of trying to get her stuff back that had me laughing, so there is that. Plus, on the upside of Ben/Nate, he knew how to light the sheets up during sexy times with Holland! Lilliana Anderson certainly knows how to weave an original story that caught my attention fully, with her super talented writing style! I CANNOT WAIT to read more in this series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! It was one of the most hilarious, sexiest and sweetest romance book I have read so far this year. I love it even more because I have never read a book quite like this one. I loved the storyline, and the characters were fantastic. The chemistry between Nate and Holland was undeniable and the sex was off the charts. Alesha was a real ride or die friend, and I enjoyed her a lot. I also enjoyed Nate's brothers Sam, Toby, Abbot and Kristian and I definitely look forward to reading their stories in the future. When it comes to making things disappear these characters are pros, and I have never been so excited to see things disappear. It was actually some of the funniest moments I have ever read. I was always ready for the next hit just so I can get a good laugh. However, when it comes to life choices and love sometimes you have to chose what matters most and what you are willing to lose, but a choice must be made. The ending of this book was fantastic and this story will not disappoint. If I could recommend one book that I've read and loved so far this year this book would be it. This book can be read as a standalone and I can't wait to read the next book in this series Fools Rush In.

So did I just read a script for a movie? Holy crap this was a wild ride. We've got one night stands, thieves, danger, crazy mommas, and a romance. All thrown into one book. Fool Me Twice was a roller coaster of danger, humor, and romance. Nate is the ultimate bad boy. He's a thief and a conman. He's super sexy and has a Goliath of a friend downstairs. Holland is sweet and innocent. Not many relationships she can boast of. She thinks she's content but she is lonely. After waking up the morning after a one night stand to find her apartment completely cleaned out she realizes she slept with a thief. Start the roller coaster here. Hilarity and love ensue.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There were times I screamed at Holland for being so gullible but on the other hand I had to laugh at the balls that Nate had. Only the two of them can get away with being gullible and sneaky. Opposites truly attract in this book and I loved the relationship Nate and Holland develop. The banter between these two are hot and humorous. I'll be stalking Lilliana Anderson for the next book! I'm dying to hear more of Nate and Holland but I need to know more of Sam and Alesha!

Holland is a curvy female with self esteem issues, and when she meets Nate “Ben” is a karaoke bar, she is surprised when this sexy confidant man approaches her. After spending a sexy night together Holland wakes up to find that she has been robbed, which includes an heirloom of her mother’s. Deciding to track this thief down and get back her precious heirloom, Holland is once again fooled for the second time. Nate is part of a family which seeks unsuspecting victims, and then robs them blind. This story is well written and flows seamlessly, and is an emotional rollercoaster journey, which is passionate and humorous. I certainly hope that this is the 1st in a series, and this is a fantastic story. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers, and cannot wait to read more of her work. Amazing Lilliana!!

OH MY GAWD!!!!!!! Words, what words, I have no words...AHMAZING... that’s right this book is the most unrealistic, funny as pie, serious, unexpected turn of events book I have ever read. I think all these elements made this book incredibly fun to read. It has steam, a lotta steam and the jokes were right up my street.

The chemistry between Nate and Holland was unexpected. After reading the blurb I really had no idea what to expect, except why did she marry him? I have got to say I really didn’t expect half the things that happened in this book and that made it for me. It keeps you on your toes, always thinking the worst and then being pleasantly surprised. It’s unique in its writing and storyline and for me my curiosity was piqued from the first page.

Liliana Anderson has packed so much into this book, that you are never left without something to gnaw on, like a dog with a bone I couldn’t stop reading and laughing out loud.

Fool Me Twice is unusual and witty and definitely without a shadow of a doubt needs to be made into a movie!!!

What a fantastic new series! I had so many mixed emotions after the first few chapters. I really wanted to dislike Nate, but his charm won me over in the end. Holland is a strong, curvy independent woman with body issues, like most women she just wants a man to treat her right. Unfortunately, Nate is a wolf in sheep's clothing and after giving her one amazing night she will never forget, she wakes up the next morning completely fleeced of all her wordly possessions.

The local Melbourne feel was ever present throughout and I was so excited to see all the twists and turns once we met all Nate's family consisting of his four brothers. Can't wait to hopefully get their stories too. This was so much fun, I really enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest review.

This storyline is different from any romance I have ever read. The Heroine Holland is a voluptuous woman who sings at weddings/karaoke at night and is a drama teacher by day. One eventful night at her friends Alesha's cousin wedding she meets a talk dark handsome stranger in the bar who she starts to flirt with. She's shocked that handsome stranger is into her and eventually she takes him home for a one night stand. Morning comes and she realizes not only was she taking for a ride in bed but she has been had by him he turns out to be thief. Her apartment was stripped to the bones. So starts this story an as a reader you wonder how is the author going to make him seem redeemable. Although this is a romance it has true realistic grit showing how we as individuals can be so vulnerable to others we are attracted to whether they may be good or bad for you. I was giving an arc by the author.

110% LOVED this book! Hilarious & sexy, delightful twists & turns! My first read by Lilliana Anderson and it was a brilliant introduction! This story was different from your every day romance in so many ways, and so wonderfully done! There is nothing typical at all about the male lead, he's intriguing and frustrating and sexy and an ar$e and I may have wanted to shake him a few million times while reading, and with all of that he works absolutely brilliantly with Holland's character. Holland I really loved from the get-go. She is fun, honest, sexy, and more than holds her own!

Let me say this first....
I absolutely love Lilliana Anderson's books. Her writing is always beyond amazing. She is one of the authors that I one-click for, no matter what....

However, Fool Me Twice fell short of me. For me, the characters just fell flat. The story line was very intriguing. Like I said, Anderson is my go to author. I didn't even read the blurb for this book...

Some books aren't for every one and this is one for me. My opinion on this book will NOT stop me reading her books..
