Blood Prophecy #1

Dragon's Thief

Rate this book
Stealing from one dragon is lunacy. Stealing from five of them? I must have a death wish.
Contrary to popular opinion, I really don’t have a death wish.

Yes, I’m a thief, but after almost being torn limb from limb by an irate panther shifter, I’ve given up my law-breaking ways. From now on, I’m sticking to the straight and narrow.

Then Drakkar Raedwulf dangles one tempting, yet impossible job in front of me. Steal a gemstone from the five dragon princes.

I’m not a fool, but Silas, the closest thing I have to a father, is gravely ill. He’ll die if I can’t get him the treatment he needs. Treatments that are far more expensive than I can afford with my crappy minimum-wage job.

So I take the job.

And promptly get caught by the five princes. Bastian. Casius. Rhys. Mateo. Erik.

And that’s where my story really begins…

Because the dragons are cursed, and my blood might be the secret to freeing them.

Episode 1 of the reverse harem serial Blood Prophecy. Adult situations. Snarky heroine who likes to swear from time to time. 18+.

***A new episode will be released every three weeks. Five episodes will be bundled together at the end for those who enjoy longer books so they can read it in one go. If you don't like serials, please wait until the omnibus edition is out.***

Title: ➳ ❤ Dragon's Thief
➳ Blood Prophecy Book 1#
Author: ➳ Lili Zander, Rory Reynolds

ღ This is book 1 of a 5 book series, & as you might imagine there will be a cliffhanger.. But no worries the authors promise release every 3 weeks. With that said

💞. Come join Casius, Bastian, Rhys, Mateo & Erik to try break the curse that been in place for over 200 years

♥●• - Aria Archer is retired thief-for-hire. See Aria was almost kill on her last job, so as promised to the man that is the closest thing to father (Silas) Aria started her journey to go legit.
It’s been year since Aria made that promise. Now she not so sure she can keep that promise with Silas needing special treatments that cost $15,000. Every month

► The job Aria except is risky on so many different levels

►Everyone is terrified of dragons for good reason. People that steal from them disappear & are never heard of again,

💞. The dragon Princes are the last 5 dragon in existence & They has been cursed to spend their immortal lives searching for their true mates, never being able to find them – until now

💞.This one hell of a page turner from the start all the way to the finish.

➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

For the first book in the Blood Prophecy series it was pretty good. I'm definitely kind of hooked. I liked the whole concept between "norms" and "shifters." I also thought it was kind of cool that all of these shifters were having non-shifting children. Weird, yet really cool. It was a mystery I wanted solved! Sadly, it wasn't but I am happy that in the end everyone found out who their mate was (if you know what I mean).

I really liked Aria's catcher and how she doesn't really try to hide that she is a known thief. I also think the guys are super hot and wonder and I can't wait for more of them! I'm hoping book two is out already.. or all of them.. in this series.. so I can find out what the hell is going to happen for everyone after that damn cliffhanger. I need more information!

Have you ever felt like you’re a day late and a dollar short? Right now, I’m about a week late and a cool million short.

Awww man. I didn’t read anything about this book before buying it. I didn’t know it’s a huge book broken up into 5 smeller parts. I would have 100% rather have gotten one big book. This is not a steamy dragon shifter novela. Nothing happened. Well, the characters were introduced. That’s it.

I don’t think I’m getting the second book even though I want to see if something happens. Anything. This just wasn’t a strong enough book to entice me to continue. There was one dance and one lick of a bloody finger. NOTHING happens between them. I feel cheated. But also, it’s my fault. And if Aria keeps comparing her vagina to unplowed land I’m going to scream!!! Her lady garden?? Yuck. Preparing for harvest!!! Gross. It’s not funny. It’s just uncomfortable and gives me second hand embarrassment.

Also, why did I pick this up? The idea of a reverse harem is exhausting to me. She keeps talking about the 5 men and how different their personalities are. How different they look. How different their accents are. That’s too much work!!!!! 5 needy men who have been waiting 400 hundred years for her!!! And she has a sick father. I’m already tired for her. The only pros I see are that those five dudes better make her life easier, not harder. Five men to help her. This should be easy.

Enjoyed this read a lot but just started to get into it and the book is over. I wish I looked before hand to see it was only 100 or so pages. I really don't like this format that has been happening it feels like a full book but just has been cut into smaller books selling them chapters at a time.

but other then my annoyance at that format I liked it well enough and just got interested right as it ended. I think the next is out in 3 days or so, so luckily I can pick it right back up.

This story is written like a serial so this feels more like part of a story and not really a story on its own. It is on KU which does make that more palatable but people should be aware it's not really a book 1...

Well...
It's short and ends with a cliffhanger. Is actually more like the first part of a story.
The multiple partners creeps me out.
It was a bit boring and felt cliché'ish.

Nope, I didn't like it.

I enjoyed that more than I thought I would, so much so that I am going to read the next book.

What I really like about our h is her loyalty to the man who raised her, she was put in a very hard spot and it is nice to read about a h whose first priority is her family. I am looking forward to reading about how she does once her and the guys start really interacting.

I like that they are broken into smaller books, makes for a quick read.

I like the Blood Prophecy series. The books have a length that makes it possible to read them in a few hours. The story is exciting and I was very curious about the next part.

I just devoured this book in about three hours.

Aria learned from the best, her adopted father Silas Archer.
She learned his trade as a master thief, but after receiving a nasty scar from a some-what failed mission, she retires.
Promising to never go back into that line of work.
A year later, she has kept to her promise, but it is getting harder to keep.
Silas is sick and Aria isn't ready to say goodbye to him just yet.
When she is offered a job that will help pay for Silas' medical bills, she can't say no.

This was a riveting tale about dragons and other shifters, as well as Norms (the non-magic bearing people).
I thought it was well-written and the characters were amazing.
They had off-the-charts chemistry together.

I recommend this book to anyone curious about it.
I thought it was just fantastic.
I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

fuck, shit, fuck...you guys, this is unfair!!!

it all took me less than an hour, what a freaking record. and then, bam! and when i realized it was a cliffhanger, gdi, double kill! This is totally unfair.

I didn't expect this to drag out till the end. Not that I mind the dragging part...because jfc the author had such a great way to build up all that thrill from dragging out. and though the interaction between the heroine and the guys was a tad minimal, different povs were provided to capture and keep my interest with the heroine and the heroes. I looove it!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 2. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME HAVE IT SOON HUHUHUHU

Everyone knows that it's a bad idea to try and steal from a dragon (I say try, because come one). But stealing from five dragons? Dragon princes no less? That, ladies and gentlemen, is a suicide mission.
Or is it?

I liked it. Great start for the series, in my opinion. A little transparent as far as plots go, but the idea behind it was good. And, despite being frustratingly short, it's written rather good and is easy to read.
The story definitely caught my interest and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

***Dragon's Thief***

I liked this book because it's fast paced and the heroine is a kick ass thief lol I didn't liked it because it was too short , I would have wanted more depth exploration of each characters and back story would be good. But the chemistry is there just need to be explored more.

Great! But a serial???

Oh... look! There’s an omnibus! Ok, so I found this book on KU, fell into it quickly then had my brain explode when I had been reading for less than an hour and realized I was already 85% done! Ugh.... serials, love and hate them! Anyway, fortunately, this serial series is finished - so I can nab episode 2, or go right for the glory and snag Dragon’s Fire, which appears to be a compilation plus a bonus story. Hmmm.... which do you think I’m going to pick?

Pros:
- world building. Obviously humans know about shifters, and the world is built for both normals and the magically inclined.
- Aria.... sweet and kick@ss.
- The princes... barely meet them here, but what I see, I likey.
- Plot: You can tell it’s going to interesting, though not overly complicated.
- Well written.

Cons:
- Serial.... but I can forgive this as the series is finished, and there is an omnibus. 🤗🎉

This books is super short at just 98 kindle pages. That includes all the blank pages, the table of contents, and the preview pages in the back. So, basically this book is about 85 pages of story. This felt like a prequel. The only thing that really happens in this book is FMC meeting the dragons.

The short length of this story means that the world building and character development are lacking. The relationship building hasn’t happened yet.

Shifters are real. Magic exists. Myths are often truth. Such is the beginning of our story. The Bloodstone holds all the magic in the world. The dragons used to have access to that magic. A curse has stolen that power and affected every shifter race. To end the curse, the remaining five dragon princes must find their mates. There are many types of shifters with the dragons at the top of the heap. But after over 500 years, Bastian, Casius, Rhys, Mateo, and Erik, the last five remaining dragon princes, have nearly given up hope of finding their mates. They know who's behind the curse, but they're powerless without the Bloodstone's magic. Enter Aria. She's 100% Norm. Not a single drop of shifter blood in her. Always an outsider, she'd thought she finally found her place. Silas Archer's a wolf shifter and was the best of the best when he taught Aria to be a thief. But life's seldom fair. Silas is ill. They can't afford the treatments, much less the cure. Aria came a hair's breadth from getting caught red-handed stealing dragon's blood, the single most dangerous substance in the world. Oh, she got it. She even found a buyer. But it's not nearly enough. When a mysterious shifter contacts Aria with a proposition, everything could change. What does he want? Simple really. Aria's to walk into the Valhalla Ball where the crème de la crème of shifter society, and the five dragon princes, will be partying, steal the Bloodstone, and return it to the mystery shifter. If she fails, Silas dies. Piece of cake, right? Not so much! Aria's clueless about the obstacles in her path. Every contact she has, every instinct in her, tells her to run as fast as she can away from this job. But she can't. Silas needs her. As Aria plots, schemes, and plans, she makes the boldest moves of her life. Can she do this? Despite the plethora of information provided from shifters and Norms alike, she's still completely ignorant of what lies before her and exactly what she's risking. And dragons don't take kindly to thieves. Will Aria even be able to get into the ball? If so, is she skilled enough to grab the Bloodstone? Can she escape? And what about the dragon princes? You DON'T rile up dragons...unless you want to end up a crispy critter! It's going to take every ounce of strength, courage, skill, and cunning Aria has to make this work. The question is, does she have it?

Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds have introduced us to a very special new series that I flew through and can't wait to read more of. This is a quick read. I absolutely adored this story. Aria is captivating. Her story, loyalty and love for Silas, boldness, creativity, cunning, and skill are inspirational. Bastian, Casius, Rhys, Mateo, and Erik each have vastly differing personalities and are hotter than hot! (Please excuse the pun, since they are dragons.) The entire story is enchanting and magical. I was shocked when I finished so quickly. Oh, and fair warning, this book ends on a massive cliffhanger! But never fear! There is a sequel coming soon. (At least I hope it's soon!) Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds have created a masterful first book in a new series that will captivate you. If you love sci-fi, magic, shifters, and erotic romance, you couldn't ask for a better beginning to a new series. Congratulations, Ms. Zander and Ms. Reynolds! You've done an outstanding job, and I can't possibly give this book anything less than five stars.

One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It does contain explicit language. If you don't enjoy this genre, this book may not be for you. Think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are synopses and reviews available on Amazon and Goodreads. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the authors! They work hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

This story hooked me from the beginning. The plot and characters are quickly developed, the shifter world is believably integrated into the normal world, and there is humor, intrigue and heat brewing from the get-go. The book is well edited and the proofreader did an excellent job.

All is not well in the shifter world..a powerful dragon mage has put a curse on the dragons and has almost certainly doomed all shifter to a slow road to extinction. The curse can only be broken when the 5 Dragon Princes, guardians of the sacred bloodstone, find their mate.

Aria, while a Norm (human),was raised by Silas, a wolf shifter and has never fit in in either world. After a job stealing dragon’s blood goes wrong, Silas implores her to retire. Even though she’s an excellent thief, she promised Silas that she would. But Silas develops an illness that is killing him and his and her savings are quickly depleted by the cost of his ongoing treatments.

Just as his condition worsens and the need for treatment increases, Aria is approached by a really scary wolf shifter who agrees to pay for Silas’ treatments if she will do one thing...break into the lair (penthouse apartment) of the 5 Dragon Princes, crack the safe, steal what’s inside and give it to the shifter.

Easy-peasy, right? More like recipe for disaster! When Aria is caught with her hand in the cookie jar...er, safe, will the dragons fry her on the spot or will they realize that they have finally found the mate that they have been seeking for hundreds of years.

This is just the beginning of the tale and the next installment is due out at the end of the month. Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds are new authors for me. I am looking forward to the next installment. I was provided with an Advanced Copy in exchange for my review of this book.

Wow!!! Could NOT put this book down! It is a page turner from the start. This is episode 1 in the reverse Harem serial Blood Prophecy – written expertly by Lili Zander and Rory Reynolds. We are introduced to Aria, an independent, strong heroine who avoids getting close to others, she has one friend and an adoptive father who is a shifter. In her world, there is magic, shifters and Norms. She is a Norm. And, now she meets the five Princes. Bastian. Casius. Rhys. Mateo, and Erik who shift into Dragons. They are gorgeous, Alpha males seeking women who will save them from a curse that threatens all dragons. Imagine their surprise when they realize that all of them are attracted to Aria. LOL Dragon’s Thief is an intense story that grabs you and pulls you in from start to finish and ends on a cliff hanger that has you begging for more!!!
The authors do a great job building the story and starting off with a character that has strength and spunk and continues to describe handsome, gorgeous, Alpha Dragons who we can’t read enough about and eagerly await the next episode. We care about them, worry about them, as the story unfolds and the characters are brought to life for us. The story is fast paced, laced with complicity and we know the romance to come will be sweet and HOT sexy scenes. Lily Zander continues to give her readers a wonderful story! I am looking forward to the next episode in the series! Things are only going to get more intense from here!

Aria is a Norm who was raised by a wolf shifter Silas. They were thieves, but after a panther shifter nearly killed Aria, she promised Silas no more jobs. And she kept that promise until Silas’s illness lands him in the hospital with expensive hospital bills. Now she’s been given a job to steal a powerful gem from the five most powerful, scary and hottest males in the world. The five Dragon Princes, the last of the dragons. But she gets caught by the sexy men. Aria expects to be instantly killed or burnt to a crisp. But that’s not the cast at all, they all have the same marks on their wrist. What does it mean? Why did they call her theirs? Why can she see through the ancient dragon magic?

Holy mother of hotness. This book was awesome. Aria was a likable character, I thought it was sweet that she would risk her life for her adopted father. Plus, now she has four hot dragon princes to figure out. Apparently this Norm has caught all of their attention. But why? And what is the marks o their wrists? I can’t wait to get to know the guys better and for them to get to know each other ;) This book was kind of slow, mainly focusing on Silas’s illness and Arias mall job. Ugh. I need more prince action! I liked that it was multiple POV. There always my favorite. So we got to see a little into the minds of the princes. What happened to Erik was so sad! Oh. That scene at the club! I was eating it up! Looking forward to more in the other books. Hopefully the second book is longer. :)

Rhys, Mateo, Erik, Casius, Bastian with Aria

Rhys, Mateo, Erik, Casius, Bastian are the last five Dragon Princes left. There were 13 council families at the start, but now only 5.
Gideon Zyrian is a dark dragon mage. He cursed the dragon shifters because Bastian's mother didn't marry him in an arranged marriage. She instead chose her true mate, Bastian's dad. On her death bed, his mother gave him a prophecy. It was that the curse would be broke when the princess found their mate. They have been searching for their mates for many years.
Aria is a thief. She lived on the streets until Silas, a wolf shifter, took her in. A couple years ago she promised him that she wouldn't steal anymore. Now he is sick and she can't afford the bills.
So she goes behind his back and takes a job. A wolf shifter named Raedwulf wants her to steal a magical gem from the dragons. She accepts the job not knowing much of anything except that she is to get everything from the safe. If she fails, then Silas will be killed.
She meets a few of the dragons before the job, but doesn't know they are dragons. This is a great beginning to this RH story. I wanted to wait until all of the books were out before I started the series. But I wanted to read it so badly that I started it after the first three were out. I am excited to go to the next story. Join me in discovering where Aria's adventures lead!
