Molly has been acting since she was a little girl. She loves to act. She’s still an amazing and famous actress many years later. Mollie’s agent has betrayed her and she can’t believe that happened with someone her family (and herself) trusted. Molly is having problems with her agent now. She doesn’t feel safe anymore and that’s how she will meet Wes.
Wes is building a new life far away from where he grew up. He’s a bodyguard and many people want him to protect them. A friend asked Wes to become the bodyguard of Molly. He’s hesitant, because he doesn’t like famous people. Wes eventually does it, but he will try to keep his distance from Molly because he’s attracted to her. Molly is in more danger than anyone ever thought, but Wes is always there. Sparks fly between them and it doesn’t take long before they fall in love.
I loved Molly and Wes. Molly is passionate, sweet, caring, strong, talented and genuine. She had to give up a lot to act, but it was worth all the sacrifices for her. She does warn her sister to wait to act. Molly already can’t wait to star in the next movie. She works hard for it.
Wes is strong, determined, protective, closed off and caring. He didn’t have the best childhood, but he has escaped it. Wes likes his new life. He wasn’t looking for a girlfriend, but he’s immediately attracted to Molly but still tries to keep his distant. Wes and Molly have an awesome chemistry.
It had been a long time since I read a book by Alexis Abbott. Rock Hard Bodyguard was everything I expected from an Alexis Abbott novel. There was suspense, a few twists, hot moments, great writing, instant attraction and great characters. Because of all those things, I was excited to start and read this book. I really liked it a lot! The thing that bothered me was that it felt very rushed sometimes and especially the ending.

When I picked this book up, I was in a complete slump! I really needed a quick read - something that would hopefully pull me out of the horrible pity party slump I was going through and really get me back into reading again. This book did just that!
I think the best thing about this book was that it was really easy to get into. It has a good pacing, and interesting plot and I loved the character development. This book had a good balance between the slow build romance/heat between Wes and Mollie, as well as the plot line itself. One didn't suffer because of the other and both had a part in the way in which the characters developed throughout the book.
I liked the way in which the author broke down stereotypes and represented the idea that you shouldn't judge a person based on their jobs or looks. I think it's definitely an issue that a lot of people face in today's society and I really loved the fat that the author decided to tackle it and the way in which she did it.
Can I also say that the slow build up between Wes and Molly made THOSE scenes all that much better! I'm a stickler for Smut and this book had me going for a cold shower - just saying.
Another thing I really enjoyed about this book was the way in which h the ending tied everything together. I liked the twist that brought Wes' past and the current situation together and the way in which everything was linked. It was a good way to end the story and I loved the cute HEA as well!
The only thing I have to say is that I feel that Wes' Cynical side took a little too long to turn around? I feel like his character could have been less cynical and standoffish a bit sooner than he actually was - but I'm still glad he turned it around XD

This is an intriguing read that is about two interesting people – Molly & Wes. Molly is a movie star whose life is turned upside down by betrayal while Wes has escaped the mafia and now works as a freelancer bodyguard. Fate plays a part and brings these two together. Molly pretends to be the biggest diva going but Wes sees beneath the fakery of that act and sees that she really isn’t this nasty diva but actually is hiding secrets, and is someone worth knowing. Wes knows all about secrets and the pain of hiding them can cause, for he too, is hiding some secrets. Wes is hired to protect Molly and we see him fall for Molly as he is in a race against time to protect her from a stalker from within her inner circle.
This has some great twists and turns as the suspense and mystery plays out along with the passion and action goes hand and hand. This story is a wonderful Christmas themed romance with a fabulous ending. I loved the characters and the plot. I look forward to read what this author writes next.

Molly, our heroine is quite the woman. She is not what our hero expects. Wes is expecting a spoiled media princess who will make him hate his assignment. What he gets is Molly, who stands up for herself. She is adept in self defense and stands up for herself. When a case of sexual harassment rockets to a life and death situation. Wes and Molly start off a little rocky but quickly jump on their attraction. The story is fast paced and a quick read. Solid story with believable action and characters.

This is an intriguing story about two people that come from totally different backgrounds. Molly is a movie star whose life is turned upside down by an act of betrayal, while Wes escapes the clutches of the Mafia and sets himself up as a freelance bodyguard. Wes has no time for the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles, while Molly’s only concern is her career. But Fate plays a part and brings the two together. Molly loves her job, but no script will ever be as beautiful as her reality. Quite an exceptional storyline that I enjoyed reading and would have no hesitation in recommending.
After her first major movie role, Molly has been inundated with scripts and offers; she knows how lucky she is to have inherited her father’s wealth and prestige along with her mother’s beauty and talent, but she needs an edge; one thing that will make her stand out, make her more valuable. Molly may be a fighter, trained in self-defense but even that knowledge cannot protect her from what her agent Eddie has done to her; he has made her sign away all the rights to her own career, a career that means everything to her. The memories flood back to Molly; the escalation of Eddie’s attacks, from minor annoyances to genuine harassment to threats. What is worse is that Eddie is her parents oldest and best friend and has been like a family member for as long as she can remember. But now he has turned Molly’s life upside down. No matter how determined she is, not matter how much she teases him. Until suddenly, her hotel room is under lockdown. It's just me and her, for hours, on Christmas. He is falling for her. But can her light finally chase away the darkness that guards his heart.
I loved this book. It was a edge of my seat loving every second of it read for me. I loved Wes and Molly and even more so I loved their interactions. Wes use to work for the mob in Las Vegas. He however knew he needed to get out so he ran to Las Angeles and began to work as a body guard. Molly comes from a Hollywood family and has grown up with a privileged life. However she didn't have a sliver spoon in her mouth. Her parents made sure they didn't grow up as spoiled brats. She too has a sister and I loved the closeness of their relationship. When Molly finds herself being harassed and stalked by her manager who tricked her to signing something she never should have Wes comes into the picture as her bodyguard and the epic adventure begins. Keep in mind that Wes is not a fan of actresses. He thinks they are all spoiled and entitled. These two have quiet the banter that just made me love them all the more and the sense of danger in this book kept me on the edge of my seat.
If your looking for a quick read that has insta-love with a side of danger then you do not want to miss Rock Hard Bodyguard.

When I started this book I didn't expect to be as involved and excited about as I am. Wes is a bad boy trying to change and be a better person. Granted, it is a work in progress but he's trying. Molly is Hollywood royalty thanks to her parents and her own acting career. When she refuses the attention of the wrong man, her life is threatened. That's how she meets Wes. He's convinced she's a spoiled rich kid and will be more trouble than he wants. I love that she surprises him at every turn. She's strong, smart, quick on her feet and not anything like he expected. They will be fighting for their lives. What a way to spend the Christmas holidays. The chemistry between the two is off the charts. I loved the whole story. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. Never disappointed with a book by Alexis Abbott! Loved it! It was witty, funny, exciting and sexy as sin. Hollywood actress Molly needs a bodyguard to protect her from her sleazy ex agent. Wes is reformed from the mafia and hired to protect Molly. Thinking she’ll be a spoiled rich brat We’d goes into this arrangement counting the days till it’s over until he sees Molly help him fight the bad guys. Locked in a safe room overnight, the pair get steamy and naked. Loved it so much. Strong heroine and stronger hero.

Well written story with great storyline and plot. Absolutely not what I expected. I like that the characters are relatable and likeable. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter.

Loved Wes and Molly's story. Packed with loads of action and intrigue, it kept me glued to the pages. Absolutely steamy that leaves you begging for more. Can't wait to read more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Alexis Abbott knows how to tell a story, draw you in, not let go, with heart pumping action and then leaving you with the biggest smile on your face. Not only that but both characters are kick a**, Wes the bodyguard who’s hard and has a past he ran from and Molly the actress, who is judged as a spoiled brat and princess. What Wes finds out is that’s far from the truth, Molly is strong, brave, down to earth and knows how to defend herself. She’s not a fragile little thing but a fierce woman and protector. But now she needs help to keep her sleazy agent away, calling in for some help and Wes helps her in more ways than one. What they discover and want together may not happen if they can’t handle the threat over them.
My oh my what a read with action scenes, some suspense, steamy spine tingling toe curling scenes and two characters who learn you can’t judge a book by its cover. From the first pages to the last I couldn’t put it down as the author knows how to deliver a story that packs a punch. What I also love is there is no drama between the two, they both tell it as it is, no lies, no secrets, no hesitation for the most part, no miscommunications or misunderstandings...refreshing oh so refreshing. Kudos to the author for another read that deserves so much more than the 5 stars allowed.

What Wes finds out is that’s far from the truth, Molly is strong, brave, down to earth and knows how to defend herself. She’s not a fragile little thing but a fierce woman and protector. But now she needs help to keep her sleazy agent away, calling in for some help and Wes helps her in more ways than one. What they discover and want together may not happen if they can’t handle the threat over them.
My oh my what a read with action scenes, some suspense, steamy spine tingling toe curling scenes and two characters who learn you can’t judge a book by its cover. From the first pages to the last I couldn’t put it down as the author knows how to deliver a story that packs a punch. What I also love is there is no drama between the two, they both tell it as it is, no lies, no secrets, no hesitation for the most part, no miscommunications or misunderstandings...refreshing oh so refreshing. Kudos to the author for another read that deserves so much more than the 5 stars allowed.

Rock Hard Bodyguard is riveting, fast-paced, and an absolute delight to read. I was totally surprised how much this little gem of a story thrilled me and beat on my romantic reader’s heart.
Molly Parker is totally blindsided by her ex-agent, Eddie Arnold, who has been an old time family friend but has recently gone off the deep end, demanding she become his puppet. As a busy and successful actress, she’d become complacent letting her guard down allowing Eddie enough power to manipulate her career. And he’s wanting all of Molly. Even now, he’s the dangerous stalker.
Wes Jameson is an ex-mafia enforcer. He’d left his past a long time ago to escape the clutches of criminal life. Yeah, it’s a piece of cake being hired as bodyguard to a spoiled starlet. But Molly surprises Wes at every turn. Not only is she beautiful and not spoiled, she’s surprisingly strong, gutsy and agile when it comes to self defense. With Wes’s expert security tactics, he and Molly are just a few steps ahead of the mercenaries Eddie’s hired. When Molly’s younger sister, Andie, is threatened it’s a race for time to get to her before Eddie harms her.
I loved this story. It is action-packed, suspenseful, humorous, and...wait for it….ties in with the Snake Eyes series. Wow, if you are a fan of that series, this will tickle your memory of the Abruzzi family. I love the chemistry between Wes and Molly. I had to laugh at Molly when she boils everything down to movie terms, and character review of herself. Absolutely funny. Loved these two. They had so much chemistry with a lot of fun sarcasm...just a great combination for me. I am a huge fan of Alexis Abbott’s Hitmen series and this one is no exception. I always find myself calling dibs....and surprise *shakes head*....doing it again, because I love me some Wes and I am extremely selfish with my book boyfriends 😉.

Obviously this is not reciprocated...hence her being on the run and needing a bodyguard. When these two meet they can’t stop checking each other out, then the snarky sarcasm comes and it’s so funny. Wes ends up figuring out that Molly is not the spoiled rich girl he pegged her as. She’s actually kind of a badass, so basically they are a pair of badasses, and he’s impressed. She gives as good as she gets. With them being on the run and her ability to do her own stunts and defend herself....makes for some smoking hot chemistry, where these two cannot keep their hands off each other. I always like some action in my books, throw in some heat and I am a happy Sue.

For an insta-love story this one was pretty good. I had a little problem with the bad guy as someone who hid his true self so easily for so many years, but that is a possibility I guess, I also thought Molly was written to be too much the opposite of a spoiled Hollywood child,

I have read other books by Ms. Abbott and she never disappoints in a hot / steamy book!
In this book we have Wes, who is an enforcer for the mafia in Las Vegas. At the beginning of the story, Wes is saving a old friend from the mob, and now that he has done this, Wes has to leave Las Vegas and find a new line of work. Wes is done with the mob life and being an enforcer. He's headed to LA.
We also have Molly, who is what some would said Hollywood royalty. Her parents are both in the film business. Molly hasn't grown up poor or in need / want of anything. Her parents connections in the industry haven't hurt Molly, they have helped her greatly along the way. Molly's manager has started to get greedy and wants more from Molly. After trying to get into her pants one night at dinner, Molly flee's from him. However, all the contracts and upcoming work for her go through her manager. He's the one that controls her future. He wants her do to things that he shouldn't have asked her to do in the first place.
Molly's lawyer hire's Wes to help protect her, be her bodyguard during Christmas Eve / Christmas time. Molly and her bodyguard Wes have some adventures together. Molly knows she can trust Wes, but he’s about the only one she can count on. Will Wes’s past hurt this new relationship?

Wes was an enforcer for the Mafia, but now works as a personal bodyguard. When his friend calls to let him know there’s a job with a huge pay packet for a job, he didn’t expect to see the actress that was the spoiled type he tries to stay away from.
Quickly realising there was more to the job then basic protection seeing the mercenaries heading to the room, the type that drug lords hire, he’s given no choice but to get Molly out through the air vents.
While going through the air vents he learns that Molly isn’t the usual spoilt rich brat he avoids, seeing her start to panic he talks her though it learning she does her own stunts.
Thinking they could just head to a safe room, goes wrong when they see the men with guns, what he didn’t expect was Molly to be full of surprises helping disarm one of the men. Even more surprised that she wants one of the mercenaries to go back to Eddie to let him know if he wants a war, he’s got one.
Although Wes Jameson is good to look at from being, she’s tired following him, she never thought her day would be crawling through air vent, a roof top battle and heading to a safe room with him. I was given an ARC for and honest review. After reading several of Alexis Abbott's books, I knew the moment I picked this one up that it would be good! It was a great fast read for me! It was definitely a page turner for sure from the very beginning. I just had to keep reading because I was dying to know how it would all play out! The story line in this book was really good and don’t forget about those hot and steamy scenes! They are always a bonus! There were definitely some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming! Wes and Molly had chemistry since the first second that they met! Wes comes from a background that he would much rather not talk about, where Molly is a famous actor who needs Wes’s protection. These two couldn’t be more different but everything about them is right! When Wes’s past collides with his present, It will test Molly to see if she can look past everything he’s done, and possibly be what he needs for life. When Wes’s gets inside Molly’s protective layer, these two are perfect for eachother! I would love to see a story on Cody and Molly’s sister Andie! I would even like to see a story on Katie once she is all grown up to see if she followed in her mommys footsteps!! All in all, this was a great read!!!

This is a great story about two people from opposite ways of life. Molly is from Hollywood royalty, her mom is a successful actress and her dad is a famous director and producer. Wes is a man with a hard past and an enforcer from the mob in Vegas. Wes is determined to leave Vegas and go to LA to become a bodyguard and boy is he a good looking man with great skills. Molly has some of her own success and is very greatful for it. One day her world is turned upside down by her trusted family friend and agent, Eddie who does some unthinkable things to Molly. Wes has earned himself a great reputation as a bodyguard and is assigned to protect Molly. Can they get along long enough for him to find the threat and eliminate it and protect Molly? Once their attraction intensifies will they be able to stop from acting on it? The threat keeps them in the present as Eddie will not stop until he gets what he wants. I enjoyed how Molly tries to bring the good out of Wes and sees the good in him. Can Wes keep is past out of his future or will it destroy what’s good in his life? I just read a high octane, mobbed up, Hollywood VS The Muscle, insta-all love fest with enough heat to keep you toasty during those cold winter nights-I could not get enough!
This fast-paced, high flying tale, Wes has been asked to become the Bodyguard of Hollywood Starlet Molly Parker, right away all the assumptions he made about her will go flying right out the window! She proves to him to be a worthy ally to have when backed into a corner!
The sexual heat between them is off the charts! They both know they should keep their distance, but the pull is too strong- is this just all fun and games till the threat has been absolved?
LOVED this suspenseful twisty hot fun tale!

Alexis Abbott KNOWS how to write strong alpha men and this story is another wonderful example. This is the story of Wes and Molly and their action packed adventure to romance. Wes works for the mafia and wants to be something more, so he gets a job as a bodyguard to a Hollywood princess. Molly is in trouble with a person who wanted to use her for his benefits. This heat, passion, desire, mystery and action in this story make it a great read. I loved the story’s pace and felt my heart beat a bit stronger during certain scenes. The detail in this story really makes it pop.
I really do not know if there is an author who can write Mafia action romance better then Alexis and this story was so addictive. I loved every minute of reading it. I would love, maybe, a short updated story to find out where Wes and Molly are in their future, I cannot imagine the fun they must have together. Molly has been acting her whole life, under the direction of her parents friend, Eddie Arnold, which allowed the shady agent to have her sign over her legal rights to him without her knowledge. Once there, with some help from his Rockstar friend Cody, he sets up a Bodyguard service, where he is hired by the lawyer of a young starlet named Molly Parker. When the pair flee from the Mercenaries hired to gather Molly, and are basically locked together in a safe room, the sparks begin to fly between the pair, leading to a night neither will forget. Can Molly and Wes really have a future together? Or will their different backgrounds, and lifestyles, keep them apart forever?
