The big take-out for me is "Marriage is not the final destination to happiness..."
Make God your anchor and focus on pleasing him and finding rest in him and other things will be added unto you.

There are notes from the husband of the author so it gives both a female and male view to various topics for married people and those looking to marry/re-marry.

It may have started slow but picked up in the end. I appreciate books that tell more stories examples than over explaining information previously stated (not to include scripture.) This book is headed in the right direction. It is written primarily for the wife, but includes small summaries for the men written by the husband.

This book is thought-provoking and has some great biblical points about marriage! I am newly married and love reading biblical wisdom from couples! I like that this book has the perspective from the wife as well as the husband, however the husband portion is a LOT shorter than the wife portion and I’m not sure why. Like I said there are some great points in this book that are so important to remember, but there were also a few examples in this book that did not make sense from a biblical perspective or left out biblical contexts.

I am in awe of how many couples reach out to tell us how much they have learned from this book. The book clearly lays out practical principles for husbands and wives. Reading through the pages feels like you’re sitting with the authors having a conversation over coffee with friends.
