This book is a wonderful history of the Cave Creek and Carefree area's development. The book starts at gold mining on Continental Mountain and the prospectors and investors from around the whole U.S. that invested thousands of dollars in the mines which put out an enormous amount of gold.
The book describes how the northern parts of Scottsdale were formed and Phoenix also. A wonderful rendition of local history.
If you live in Scottsdale, Carefree, Cave Creek, etc. I would very highly recommend this book.
