Like an anchor wedged in the lake floor, Grace Stone's heart is submerged in the past. Drowning in guilt over the role she played in her father's and sister's deaths, Grace prays that launching her water survival program at Camp Moshe will properly honor their memory and enable her to move on. But success depends on Grace risking everything on the man hired to rebrand the Christian camp.Kye Campton's usual confidence wavers when his extreme sports campaign lands him in hot water with the cautious instructor and it becomes increasingly evident that Camp Moshe's fight for survival is against more than a declining economy. Will Kye be able to save the camp-and Grace-from a saboteur determined to close the camp at any cost?
Stacey Weeks writes contemporary romance and romantic suspense filled with strong women, honorable men, and just enough heart-pounding sweetness to keep you turning pages. Her stories are rooted in hope and grace. She’s also the author of non-fiction titles like Glorious Surrender, Chasing Holiness, Season of Wonder, and Unceasing Prayer. A ministry wife and homeschooling mom of three, Stacey holds graduate certificates in Women’s Ministry and Biblical Counselling from Heritage College and Seminary. When she’s not writing or speaking, you’ll find her with a cup of tea and an open Bible, sharing hope (and laughs) with women. A child of the “play until the streetlights turn on” generation, she loves fixing old things, and above all, she follows Jesus, her greatest joy and deepest hope.
In Too Deep is a suspense surrounding a Christian youth camp that is in trouble and needs new management. Kye Campton's job is revamp Camp Moshe to put it in the black. The camp has been working in the red for a couple of years and Kye intends to turn the basic waterfront camp on a lake into an extreme sports camp, something different from other camps in the area. Grace Stone is a waterfront specialist who has developed a plan for non swimmers to save themselves if they are thrown into a situation in the water where they could drown. She has to sell her plan to Kye. Grace has always loved the water but lost her dad and sister when they drown in the Caribbean years before. She wants to help others by giving them a way to help themselves if they are put in the same position. She is worried that the plan Kye has for the camp is too dangerous. They don't hit it off at first but when it becomes clear that someone is out to sabotage the camp before it even opens, they work together to find out who is behind everything. Grace appears to be in danger from the culprit. Who could have it out for her? Why would someone want the camp to fail? Another camp? Different people would like to buy the camp. Maybe one of those interested are out to make the camp fail. After all, if it doesn't work out, the board will have to sell. This is a Christian suspense with continuous action keeping one interested. Thanks to NetGalley and White Rose Publishing for allowing me to read this ARC. This review contains my thoughts and views only.
As someone who both attended camp as a child/teenager and later worked as a camp counselor, Stacey Weeks’s In Too Deep sounded like a great read. And I wasn’t disappointed. At first, Grace and Kye have opposing opinions about Campe Moshe, but it doesn’t take like before they’re supporting and trusting each other. The attraction is almost immediate. The character development in Grace is excellent as we learn about the tragedy in her past and what drives her. Kye is also well developed, yet I wish he would have shared with Grace about his ex-fiancee at some point in the book, and we, the readers, would have gotten more of that story. But the suspense it the book is spot-on. Someone is trying to destroy the camp with some pretty harrowing stunts, and Weeks keeps us guessing right along with Kye and Grace. This is a book I recommend to anyone in search of a quick and engaging read with likable characters and some tense moments.

I enjoyed this Christian romantic suspense. There was good character development in Grace. A deadly disaster that happened when she was a child plagues her as an adult and shapes her actions. The romance was done rather well. I thought the suspense, the threats and harmful actions, wrapped up too conveniently, as did the solution to Grace's financial grant issues.
Weeks' novel is a good summer read, reminding many of us of our summer camp days.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this book through Celebrate Lit. My comments are an independent and honest review.
Set in northern Ontario, this Canadian adventure has multiple tugs in the reader’s heartstrings. A week at camp so kids can learn how to spread wings and make new friends should definitely be on every family’s agenda. With Camp Moshe’s model of discounting fees to make it affordable for almost anyone, it should be possible…but even generosity has its limits. When the camp begins a pattern of operating in the red, the board of directors demands a change or they’ll accept one of several offers to buy up their precious lake property for development. In comes Malachi, Kye for short, Compton, boy wonder fix-it man with a reputation for turning around sagging businesses. His idea to upgrade the camp offerings with riskier activities seems to be working with better enrollment and a great staff experienced in rock climbing and trail biking. Except for the water sports director. Grace has some bugaboo about safety and caution, and when things start to unravel at camp, doesn’t hesitate to nag with “I told you so.”
The threats and “accidents” get personal. Both Kye and Grace have their futures resting on a positive program at the camp—Grace with a national program to promote water activity safety, and Kye to keep up his reputation as a genius businessman. Between a dangerous bear, malfunctioning equipment, booby-traps and fire, not to mention astronomical insurance, everyone, especially the kids, will lose if they have to close the camp. Everyone but the mastermind behind the sabotage, that is. The race is on to save camp, and for Kye and Grace to discover what’s truly important in life: their individual goals and their mutual attraction.
Alternating points of view between Kye and Grace tell their story, inner desires, and mutual goals in this charming story. Readers will be transported to their own days of experience at summer camp, or at least get a fun twist on summer romance—meddling moms and all. Lots of fun.
In Too Deep Is a Christian mystery surrounded by a camp. Boy did I feel right at home in this story. I grew up working at 1. Scary eh? This story is about how you have one character wanting to make the camp and extreme sports camp and the other character who doesn't want to have them to use the water because her father and brother died in the caribbean in the water. Someone is sabotaging the camp from opening. Who is it? Who is after Grace? Will Kye help her find out and protect her? We know GOD is in the midst of it all. So we know that she is protected supernaturally. You will be shocked a little scared and in love with this book. I received a copy of this book from the Publisher and Netgalley; all of the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.

This book has it all; action, suspense and romance, but best of all it teaches that God works all things out in His time. It will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end. You won't regret getting this book. I received this book as a gift and was not required to write a review. This is my honest opinion of this book and it has been added to my re-read list, it was that good.
This book is one that is so suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. You never know what is going to happen next. This clean romance takes place at a christian camp. When reading the reader pictures in their head the camps that they know and love from growing up as a kid. Heading out to get fatal homecoming right now, another book from this author.
Compelling story in lovely setting with good suspense. And, like all books published by White Rose Publishing of Pelican Book Group and real life, the main characters' faith grows when they persevere through trials.
In Too Deep is a well written inspirational romance with a touch of mystery. Through enjoyed th plot and the author’s writing. I recommend to readers who enjoy a good clean romance.
This book touched my heart and emotions. It is easy to take on guilt that is not yours or fear your feelings might be wrong. God helps when we let Him lead.
This is a great story about trusting God. I enjoyed getting to know Grace. She has held on to guilt over a tragedy for way too long. I felt her sadness as she recalls that fateful day. She questions herself over and over of what she could have done differently. How many times have you wanted to go back and change things in your life? I loved that she was determined to get her program funded that could save lives in the water. I’m not a big fan of water at all. When I was sixteen I almost drowned at the beach. A stranger saved my life and risked his as we kept getting swept further out to sea. Her program would have helped me that day because I don’t know how to swim. Kye is a great character with a desire to keep his uncle’s camp open. I know how important camp is for kids. They get to make friends, enjoy the outdoors and feel a part of something. There is trouble brewing with finances and Kye is feeling the pressure. I laughed when Kye and Grace disagreed on almost everything to do with the camp. The author weaves a great mystery into the story which had me guessing till the end. It is not a coincidence that a bear stumbles into camp or a fire starts in the kitchen. Someone is out to close the camp down and it is a race to find out who it is. Danger lurks in the woods and hides in unexpected places in this intriguing story. There is romance in the story but it is clean and the author does a good job of bringing faith into the relationship. I really liked the ending which had some great life lessons. The greatest sacrifice you can make is to give your life for another. That is illustrated very well in the story and allows Grace to let go of the past. It also shows Kye how compassionate Grace is. The other lesson I liked was trusting God and never giving up. If you are looking for a nice clean story look no further. I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
So much guilt. How many of us have things we regret or feel guilty about from our past? Then you can relate to Grace. She has deep deep dark grief from her father and sister’s death.
Kye has a job. He’s to turn the camp Grace runs into a profitable venture. But the two butt heads from day one. His plan is an extreme sports water camp. Her plan is to teach people how to save themselves if they get in a situation that they could drown.
Who will win out?
I started the book thinking it would be just a cute romance novel with a tiny bit of mystery. No real suspense. I was wrong. This is definitely a suspense novel. There is a saboteur trying to close the camp at all costs and Kye and Grace must work together to save it. Can they overcome their different views of what they want the camp to look like? Will their attraction and the sparks win out?
A great book that I recommend.

Guilt has a way of overtaking our lives, especially when we blame ourself for something that happened. It has a way of either paralyzing us with fear or keeping us locked in a cycle we can not break free from at times.
Grace Stone has dreams and a desire to do something because of the tragic death of her father and sister in the past. Kye Campton just wants to complete his current job as acting camp director in order to move on to his next job.
Both have suffered in the past, but have to try and work past their guilt and hurt. These two characters are like water and oil. Yet both ultimately want to save the camp. The interactions between Kye and his mother as well as Grace and her family bring this story to life.
Add in a bear, some unexplained things that seem like accidents and the plot thickens. I could not put this book down. I wanted Grace and Kye to find their future together free of the pain of the past.
So check out this book for yourself.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Celebrate Lit, this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.
This rugged boys’ camp in Canada has a female swim instructor, and she steals the show in this contemporary novel. Grace Stone wants to make sure no one dies from an inability to swim or stay afloat, as her sister did when they were young. Guilt over her painful past pushes her to take risks as she tries to help get things ready for the new season at Camp Moshe. But so many hindrances occur that Grace and the interim director, Kye Campton, wonder if someone is attempting to sabotage their efforts. Plus, they sense an attraction for each other, which they try to avoid since he’ll be leaving soon and she is intent on getting her water survival program established and applying for a grant to teach it around the province. The interesting characters and compelling suspense make this book enjoyable to read. The outdoor setting and sports make it a great summer read. Guys should enjoy it too. As the main characters grow and surprise themselves, their hopes for the future seem dashed—but maybe it’s not too late. They learn to trust God no matter what. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.
You were warned. This is your last chance to leave!
As an introduction to this author, this book certainly does not disappoint. Once started, it is impossible to set aside until the mystery of Camp Moshe is solved. Kye Campton, interim director, comes highly recommended. If you have a company that needs fixing, he will fix it or the future of that business is bleak. Here he is at Camp Moshe, with a head lifeguard that has a new program she wants to implement, staff who are related to the man that wants to buy the property and a camp board that is waiting to see if his ‘fix’ will put this concern back in the black financially.
What you have is someone or several folks who do not want this to succeed. The shenanigans start to become dangerous and people are getting hurt. Can Kye figure it out before someone is killed? If this book is any indication, I need to be on the lookout for more fabulous writing from this author!
I received this digital copy through White Rose Publishing, Pelican Ventures and CelebrateLit. My impressions and comments were in no way solicited.
This was a great summer read. The combination of romance and a camp setting made for a fast pace and constant conflict.
The characters were fun and interesting with some intense beliefs that kept them at odds through most of the book. I enjoyed seeing them overcome objections and their internal fears.
Grace was especially fierce in In Too Deep. Her backstory was exceptional in making her into the character we see from the first page.
The suspense aspect remained subtle till the end. Through all the things happening in the story, the suspense worked to push everything forward and push the characters together.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a shorter read, which fit perfectly with what I needed. If you’re a fan of characters who are real and flawed, combined with a story of suspense, you’ll enjoy this book.
I requested a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. I was not required to leave a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Christian youth camps, I've been to many. I've attended and later served in such camps. The cover and that premise drew me to this book. Grace has been through some major trama. She's easy to connect to and feel what she's been going through. Kye, he's working with Grace to save this camp, but he's more dark and mysterious in regards to his past. Some suspense, as well as expected romance, are included. The burning question is, why would anyone go this far to take down a Christian camp? That mystery drove me through the pages of this book in a race to solve who-done-it. By the end of the book, we can say in more ways than one, there but for the grace of God, go I. The older we get the more we see God's timing and His hand in things. This book expressed that well.
My thanks to Celebrate Lit for my copy of this book. This review is my own, left freely. A positive review was not required.
"In Too Deep" by Stacey Weeks is a great and fast read. It has romance and conflict. Even through I don't like sports or camp or swimming ( more afraid of drowning ), I do like reading about others adventures in these events.
This is a clean book and I really appreciate that the author write stories that has no shocking or steamy scenes.
If you want a romance that isn't your normal boy meet girl and they don't fall in love instantly, and then add a bear and other dangers, then I recommend "In Too Deep" by Stacey Weeks.
I received a contemporary copy by the author and Celebrate Lit and these opinions are my own
In Too Deep by Stacey Weeks This book was interesting and an easy read. Enjoyed the characters and setting. The story line kept my interest. The inspirational message was well presented. Enjoyed the book.
Was mich neugierig gemacht hat:
