Feral #1

Obsession

Rate this book
I never wanted a mate. Until I was put in chains. Strapped down. And claimed. I always believed I could analyze any situation until I found a solution. Solve any problem if I just applied my brain. I went to university, studied science and told myself my academic cocoon would protect me from the alphas dominating our society. I was wrong. No textbook prepared me for my meeting with test subject 351. The biggest, scariest alpha on death row, hauled into my lab to uncover how to control the beast of a man. How to make him submit. Mold him into a weapon. But there is no controlling the feral alpha, and no logic strong enough to save my mind once he unleashes his fury on my body. Once he claims me. Obsession is the first book in Nora Ash's second suspense-filled Omegaverse serial, Feral. Please note: This series gets dark, and it gets dirty. If you don't enjoy your romance scorching and your alphas rough & dominant, give this book a pass.

I am Nora Ash, and I write a plethora of different romance books. Some of them are really dirty, some of them are only kinda-dirty, some are paranormal, some are contemporary… Basically, I have a rampant imagination and no way of controlling it, except from just writing down whichever idea pops into my head at the time.

The one thing my books always have in common, though? A great story and a guaranteed HEA.
If you’re ever in doubt about what you’re about to read, have a look at my book page. It has a flame rating for each series, so you know what you’re getting yourself into!

I’m originally from the cold North (AKA Scandinavia) but these days I live in rainy England with my amazing fiancé and our two pesty cats. When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading, watching Real Housewives of Wherever (reality tv it’s my shameful addiction) or hiking in whatever bit of woodland I can find.

Three fun facts about me

I once ran away with a traveling circus
I’m bilingual. Almost-kinda trilingual, but my Spanish is terri-bad these days.
I’m a decent rider (English style only, though)

Short and Smutty!

This was a bit of an odd one for me. It was like Lora Leigh’s Breeds series with most of the story cut out of it. It takes place in an Omegaverse, and this is my first book about that. Alpha’s dominate society and Lillian is submissive and a bit afraid of them due to something that happened in her childhood. So she dedicated herself to being a scientist.

She is hired by a company that works for the government and it turns out they are running experiments on humans. Those humans are Alpha males that were on death row who volunteered to get out of their sentence. They are given a drug that turns them into Feral Alphas, that are barely human. They would make perfect super-soldiers, except the fact that the scientists have no way to control them when they are on the drugs.

So the men in charge think that mating the feral alpha’s will get them under control. Because once they have a mate, the scientists can hold the mate and force them to comply. When Lillian discovers how they are mistreating the people they are studying, she is determined to free one of them, called #351, whom she has some sort of affinity for.

The book was told solely from Lillian’s point of view and the narration was good. I enjoyed the woman’s voice and 351 didn’t do much more than grunt and growl so there was no issues having only a female narrator. The book is only about 118 pages, so the audio was really quick, it was on sale so I didn’t notice it was so short, but if you are in the mood for something short and dirty, this will do the trick!

🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥REVIEW CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS, SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK,ALSO.....YOU'LL GET SOME INSIGHT TO THE NEXT BOOK. THE SPOILERS THOUGH?ARE OF ALL THE 3 BOOK🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥

🟥THE HERO-in his 30s-

🟥THE h-In her 20s-

🟥LOCATION-

🟥THE ERA-

I think the story is taking place in ....2050 or something....many years from now though.

🟥THE PLOT-

🌼The h gets a job at a research facility, where a special kind of drug is being tested on humans.
(I won't be able to give away much cause i struggle with english, but i'll try my best.🤔)
So, when she reaches the facility(which btw is in the middle of nowhere) she finds that the humans on whom the drug is being tested are kept in cages. Seriously, the author's description of the condition of those people is......horrific, i can't even BEGIN to tell you what those drugs were doing to those people.

🌼The scientists(all male) at the research facility were VERY much ruthless, they were testing the drugs WITHOUT any mercy. And which was turning the people(mostly male) to cavemen, yeah that's right, have you seen how the tribal men act? They don't speak or say anything, and they communicate by there own language, and they don't "make love" when they are horny, they just mount the woman whenever, wherever they feel like. The sex of cavemen is rough. And that was what was happening here. The drug had such a drastic effect on there sex-hormones, that they
were becoming SUPER horny all the time. But it DID not feel dirty when i read it, it felt VERY MUCH steamy.

🌼And while i was enjoying all the sexy stuff, the characters were really in pain, believe me those drugs were NOT good, they were very painful, the people were kept in these metal cages because they had become unbelievably horny and unbelievably strong, the drug had messed with there communication system so they were only grunting and talking to each other.

↖↙↗⬆➡WHERE DOES THE H FIT IN THE BOOK?⬆➡↗↖

🌼He is actually one of the lab-rat. He is one of the people on whom the drug is being tested.
IT WAS SOOOOOOOOO PAINFUL to watch (or should i say read?)him go through ALL the drug testing.
The drug made him SO mad and SO horny. He was just like others, kept in a cage, occassionaly he was given his meal. 🤷‍♀️The H DID NOT SPEAK EVEN 100 SENTENCES THROUGHOUT THIS BOOK. 🤷‍♀️

🌼When the h ACTUALLY realised what was going on inside the facility, she was SO MAD.
When she saw the H in the cage for the first time, she was like..........

🌼There was....something......lust or spark......but there was SOMETHING that made her want to help the H , and take him out of the cage.

🌼She wanted to help those people escape, sure she worked for the laboratory , BUT she felt that this was brutal abuse of the drug and she IMMEDIATELY quit.

What followed next was VERY horrific.😳😳😳😳😳

🍭The scientists FORCED those SAME drugs on her.
And because of that, she also became VERY ........... turned on.
Those drugs initiated orgasms, even if you did NOT want to come, you'll be forced to otherwise you'll feel this uncontrollable rage inside you.

🍭And then? They threw the h in the Hs cage.

🥺🥺🥺THIS is where the book turned me on SO MUCH!!!! I am not even gonna lie.

Because of the drug effect, they fucked like bunnies.
It was ..........

🍭BUT, the drug DID not have EXACTLY the same effect on both the sexes.
It was slightly different for females.

🍭The scientists realised that by giving the H , sex, the h had controlled his rage, so what did they do then?

🍭They threw the h in a room with 50 males(all drugged) to observe what will happen.

THE HERO TORE THROUGH THE WALL LIKE A FUCKING CAVEMAN AND KILED EVERY-FUCKING MAN IN THAT ROOM BEFORE THEY COULD TOUCH THE h.

FROM THE TIME THAT HE SAW THE h FOR THE FIRST TIME, HE HAD CLAIMED HER AS HIS OWN.
HE BRUTALLY KILLED EVERY SINGLE SCIENTIST IN THE FACILITY WHO TORTURED AND DRUGGED THE h.

THIS IS THE KIND OF "FERAL OBSESSION" THAT YOU WILL NEVER EVER FIND IN ANY OF THOSE MAFIA ROMANCES.

THE HERO WAS NOT NORMAL, HE WAS VERY VERY VERY VERY OBSESSED, AND EVEN THOUGH HE WAS SOOOOOOO RAGED, HE WAS VERY MUCH gentle with the h, BUT THE SEX WAS ROUGH, I'LL GIVE YOU THAT.

ANYWAYS,

So.......i'll skip to the end because this is the kind of book that you will get more idea ONLY if you read it, there isin't much but at the same time there is SO much in the story.

In the end, the h helped the hero and some of his friends(who were also drugged but never tried to rape the h)escape the facility, then..................

CLIFFHANGER.

Read the next one to know what happened after there escape.

I basically revealed the WHOLE plot.
I am SO sorry if i missed something, i don't really remember the FULL plot because read this one a while ago.

I would STRONGLY suggest this book to people who love OTT-ALPHAS.

TIME FOR SPOILAAAAAAAAAAARSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHEATING?
Not technically, there was a scene when the h was strapped naked to a metal table then forcefully drugged. After a few hours when she woke up, she was VERY horny, and to check whether the drug has had any effect or not. A male scientist touched her down there with 3 fingers to check if she was wet. THAT'S IT. I DO NOT CONSIDER THIS CHEATING.
NO-SHE WASN'T RAPED. NO SHE DID NOT ORGASM ANYTIME EXCEPT WHEN SHE WAS WITH THE HERO.

VIOLENCE? YES, VERY MUCH, ON-PAGE VIOLENCE.
I read this part whole-heartedly because the way H killed ALL the MEN who tried to touch her was ........ WOAH!!!
I secretly got a kick out of it lol!!!!!! 😋😋😋.
He did not only kill them , he DISMEMBERED them for even THINKING about raping the h.

VIRGINS? NO-virgins, but BOTH were VERY much Celibate.

NO-MENAGE OR SHARING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

NO-BONDAGE OR BREATH PLAY OR ANYTHING. CAVEMEN don't know no BDSM guys!

BUT THE SEX WAS ROUGH. VERY ROUGH.

HEAVY ABUSE OF DRUG. But those scenes were VERY short .

CLIFFHANGER.

👌👌WHO WILL ENJOY THIS BOOK?

CAVEMENT, OTT, ALPHA , OBSESSION lovers.

People who love-Strong Sweet take-no-shit h with a gentle heart .

People who can handle rough sex.

HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!!!

I read this series awhile ago and forgot to leave a review. I'm getting to it now :)

I'm reading a lot of Omegaverse serials. Sometimes I wake up too early and really want something quick, simple, and entertaining to read in bed. Lately Omegaverse serials and novellas have fit the bill. I tend to rate them harshly, depending on the quality of the writing, length, price, editing, as well as the plot construction and the world-building.

This is one of the better Omegaverse serials I've read. The length is right for the price, and there was a plot! Sure there's a cliffhanger, but it seemed like a natural place to lead into the next installment. It didn't end mid-scene/super super abruptly. I could tell the author took time to craft a plot, and the world-building was fab!

I loved the heroine, a researcher fighting her baser instincts in what seemed like an alternate-UK reality. I'm not sure anyone else will get this, but I've been reading Sherlock Holmes Omegaverse fanfic on A03. This series reminded me a tiny bit of Sherlolly fanfic (Molly Hooper/Sherlock Holmes pairing). It's usually either Molly Hooper or Sherlock Holmes fighting their Alpha/Omega instincts, and they're living in a society where A/B/O instincts are tightly controlled. There's kind of an English 'stiff upper lip' thing regarding A/B/O instincts in this society. The author is apparently from the UK, and I caught a few UK phrases, which is always fun. I'm always disappointed when authors from the UK feel the need to Americanize their English and stay away from UK phrases.

I will say the heroine did have a few TSTL moments, but instead of finding it frustrating, I just thought it was kind of funny.

The smut was hot. Um, right up my alley, and I'll be rereading this book ;)

If you don't mind Omegaverse serials, this is one of the better series on the market. Well-written, well-edited, and I could tell author took time to develop her world and plot.

I should've done my research a lot better than to read a couple of reviews.

1) Hero gets a body reaction when he's put in a cell with a female in "heat" he doesn't do anything but just that body reaction bothered me.
2) Heroine gets injected with whatever thing that makes females go into heat and one of the doctors touches her sexually, he makes her come with his fingers.

Sweet Georgia peaches! This was a quick and extremely hot read! I am literally sweating!

351 is an alpha being subjected to a drug that makes him completely feral. He has been tortured, imprisoned and has been tested over and over to mate a female forced into heat. Little did they know 351 could not be forced to mate, until Lillian came.

Lillian thought she had landed her dream job. Yeah she had to sign a bunch of legal papers preventing her from sharing her work with anyone and yeah there were a ton of security measures to go through but she thought it wasn't a big deal. Until she realized alphas were being held prisoners and being drugged to become fully feral. Add to that females were also prisoners being forced into heat. The end game? The doctor hoped to force mating's giving him the power over the alphas as long as he controlled their mates well being.

Super dark. There is a really rough scene that was hard to read but it did fit with the storyline. Speaking of storyline this is a perfect example of a short read having all the right ingredients. Great characters! Great storyline! Can. Not. Wait. For. More.

Happy reading ! DD

Loved it! 👌 This would’ve been a 5 star read for me, if the author had bothered to describe the h. I read the entire thing, not knowing a single detail about her. Her hair color, eye color, height, family history, is she attractive, etc. None of this was told, so I read it with a vague feeling of annoyance. Whatever happened to character development, new authors these days…

On to the 2nd book.

LittleBirdie has awesome details, check out her reviewA!

I wanted some Alpha/Omega dynamics but this time some MF instead of my favourite MM...
And an imprisoned Alpha male viciously fighting for his mate will always draw my attention. But...
But what I got was a cliffy and almost a PWP erotica with a meh heroine and a lot of violence. I was prepared for that dark and twisted undercurrent, thanks to the writer warnings, so no sweat here, but still. I didn't like the book much.
I want to know how the story ends, if Lillian and Subject 351 break free and get their HEA, but I can't say I'm satisfied with the plot, its twists and gaps, and the writing style. I'm sorry...

Okay, the writing is quite choppy and could use some finesse, and I don’t know about you, but describing the hero’s cock to be as thick as a can of Pringles just really doesn’t have the sex appeal I think the author might have been trying to go for….

However, I can’t deny that binged this book and I am interested in picking up book 2. The addictive, compelling plot is there with dark science experiments on alphas and omegas, and well, that is my jam. So, I’ll stick around for the second book and see how I feel while reading it.

I find the idea very appealing but the execution was not the best and add to that some aspects that I don't like in my reads, like only one pov , very vague world building [( only alphas and betas? No omega mention but it's an omegaverse serial?and the female had all the traits of an omega but wasn't one.. Confusing af)] and short length novella page count and you have a 2.5 rating.🙄

Whoo boy! That was exciting!
This was my first time reading a Nora Ash book and I will certainly be reading more. Im actually a tid-bit devastated that I'm left hanging here on a cliffy, but I requested this ARC looking for something new. I'd not heard of "Omegaverse" specifically prior to coming across this book, but a quick Google search left me interested. I guess I just wasn't certain I'd like it as much as I clearly did. I've encountered some of the Omegaverse elements in other PNR reads so I'm curious as to how it will all play out in this context.
Thus far, I like Lillian as our heroine, and alphas like 351 always make me giddy.
Waiting with baited breath for book two.

* I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for my honest, voluntary review.

A gripping story set in a very contemporary omegaverse

This is the first in a series, I'm hoping that the second book continues this story (I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that it did) otherwise I will be extremely disappointed as this, for me, ends without a conclusion. It's not a dramatic cliffhanger but it isn't a clear cut ending either.

I love dark and twisty omegaverse stories. I haven't previously read any work by this author so I wasn't sure what to expect or whether I would enjoy the book. However the blurb attracted my attention, so I decided to try this book. I did enjoy the book, it is well written and the story was easy to follow. I liked the main character (Lilian), she was believable and felt very natural. The book is very short, I'd class it as a novella since it was about a 90 minute read. Given the abrupt nature of the ending, I'm hoping this story stretches over more than 2 books to justify splitting the story up in this way.

All the scenes take place within the research institute, so it is hard to grasp a picture of the 'world' in which this is set. However certain pop culture references in the book gave a feel of a contemporary world, but one where males are alpha or beta. There was no mention made of omega's in the book, nor were any of the female's assigned a 'rank'. Lilian is offered the opportunity to work for her 'hero', Dr Axill a research scientist. Lilian is a number crunching data analyst, so she doesn't really get involved in the nitty gritty of the work. However eventually she see's things that disturb her and has to make some tough decisions.

The world building was good in this book, even though we didn't see any of the 'outside' world, I understood the dynamics of the alpha and beta characteristics etc. The prose had a nice, smooth flowing style and the pace held my attention through out. We don't really get to know the male characters as well as Lilian and whilst Dr Axill had some depth, Dr Urwin was quite underdeveloped within the plot. We don't get to find the name of 351 in this book, and only get a little of his history. Reading between the lines I doubt the veracity of this explanation too!

It just felt like we were getting into the story when it finished. I still had a lot of questions in my mind and, in some ways, hadn't read enough to have a strong opinion either way on the story. I certainly enjoyed the book and am very curious as to what will happen with Lilian and the alpha test subjects next.

Since this was quite a short read I didn't skim any of it. It does have some darkish themes, most certainly dubious consent and also abuse of power. There isn't a lot of sex in the book, but there is a very graphic description of a female 'in heat', a voyeuristic scene and a prolonged scene involving Lilian. For these reasons I would recommend this for 18+ years of age, and only for those who don't mind a dark themes in their reading.

OH MY GOD?!

This was suck a quick read and ends so abruptly at the most inopportune time, I need the next book NOW.

Basically: FMC is a data analyst working at a lab where MMC is held. The lab uses alphas originally on death row as test subjects, makes them feral, and is trying to control them by trying to get them to mate. And then stuff happens and this ends with a cliffhanger.

The story is brutal, primal, and a little bit suspenseful. I thought the FMC is whatever, the MMC is a growly alpha (but we see some tenderness), and I am a sucker for it all.

Rating 3.5 rounded up to 4

I'm gonna go pick up book two right now, kbye.

I read another series by this author which I believe was her first series, “the alpha series.I think she has improved drastically. This was such an easy read. Such a unique story and so interesting. Kept me engaged. I was interested in an omegaverse, as I typically don’t like sci fi , aliens, or other beings. Such a creative and interesting story. I liked her initial series as it was intriguing, but something felt off, as I didn’t understand the world building. This story did a much better job of it.

DELICIOUSLY NAUGHTY & OH SO GOOD !!!
Title: Obsession
Series: Feral
Author: Nora Ash
Designation: Book 1 of Serial, Short Novella(Approximately 100 pages), Not a Standalone, Cliffhanger Ahead #omegaversefiction #hotalphas #erotic #romance
Format: eBook Edition
My Rating: Five Sinfully Sexy Stars*****
Oh my! Here we go again! Okay, I'll be the first to admit that Omegaverse Fiction is one of my favorite guilty pleasures, and no one does it better than Nora Ash! Without a doubt, Ash pens the most deliciously naughty Omegaverse Fiction EVER and her latest sinfully sexy release Obsession, the first installment in her brand spanking new Feral serial, is no exception. Ash grabbed me in the first chapter and kept me on the edge of my seat with a death-grip on my ereader while my heart fluttered wildly in my chest! Heavens to Betsy, by the time I got to the last page, I was sweating bullets and struggling for my next breath. You better believe I rushed back to Amazon to see if the preorder was up for the second book of the series, Despair, and thank goodness it was! Needless to say, I one-clicked like a crazy woman! No one writes dark, erotic Omegaverse romance quite like Nora Ash. I've been a fan for years and race to Amazon every time she has a new release and Ash didn't disappoint in Obsession! But be forewarned, Omegaverse Fiction is not for the meek of heart! For folks unfamiliar with the term, Omegaverse is a subgenre of fan fiction in which canine-type characteristics are given to human characters, including alpha/beta/omega designations, strong themes of dominance, submission, possession, and usually contains knotting, marking, & biting during sex. Typically, it also includes the strong use of 'soul mates' with the concept of sex or mating as a biological imperative for both males and females. It varies greatly with each author, but I've always found Ash's work in this particular fandom to be fascinating as well as titillating. I guess you can tell I really like Ash's work; now let me tell you why!

Obsession is a dark, gritty, imaginative, riveting, seductive, fast-paced, well-crafted, easy-to-follow erotic romance with strong Omegaverse elements. The narrative is beautifully written with a first-person perspective from the female protagonist, bioanalyst research scientist Lillian Dorne. The dialogue is smart, snappy, gritty, well-executed, and flows effortlessly. But the piece de resistance of every Ash story is her cast of always unique and intriguing characters. One of the things I love most about Ash's writing is her ability to create harsh, gruff, growly, possessive, and unapologetically bad to the bone heroes/antiheroes, blessed (or cursed, depending on your perception) with an overabundance of attitude, testosterone, and alpha pheromones, yet still somehow make them sexy, engaging, irresistible, and endearing. Ash's Omegaverse stories are very much character driven, as is most Omegaverse Fiction, meaning the characters are the primary component or what I like to call 'the driving force' of the story. And folks, this may be erotic romance that curls your toes, but it's not fluff. Ash always balances her steamy storylines with lots of danger, drama, angst, suspense, conflict, and enough plot twists to keep you guessing. But at the heart of every single book, you'll always find a heartwarming love story, which brings me to the lovely, hardworking research bioanalyst Lillian Dorne and a former Navy Seal now known only as Test Subject 351. I was immediately drawn into the story by these two characters. It's often difficult to get a good grasp on a story after only one installment, but there's enough for me to know there's a very special connection between the kindhearted Lillian and imprisoned feral test subject alpha. The intelligent, ambitious, but somewhat naive Lillian had no idea what she was getting into when she accepted a job working for her mentor and idol, Dr. Simon Axell, as a bioanalyst on a government-sanctioned biodefense project. Dr. Axell was an alpha himself, but he was also a respected, world-renowned scientist who'd conquered his primitive urges for the good of mankind - or so she thought. Unfortunately, Lillian was soon to receive a rude awakening about the not so good Dr. Axell and SilverCorp. Sigh... I just love when an unlikely heroine finds her courage and decides to champion the long-suffering hero or antihero as the case may be. We don't really know yet, but hopefully we'll find out more about test subject 351 in the next book. Will Lillian be able to save alpha test subject 351 and expose the truth of the heartbreaking atrocities perpetrated by the immoral Dr. Axell and SilverCorps? Or will her selfless act of conscience cost her everything? I guess we'll have to wait and see! Oh my! I can hardly wait for Book 2: Despair!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers. It does include violence and explicit sex, some with dubious consent. If you've never read Omegaverse fan fiction, don't knock it till you've tried it! If you enjoy paranormal/fantasy/science fiction romance with elements of BDSM, you'll probably love this story, but these Alphas are not shifters, they're human with an overabundance of testosterone and alpha pheromones. And be forewarned, it's dark, dirty, and hot, hot, hot! I definitely advise against reading in polite company! It might be a little uncomfortable. Lol... Will I read this author again? OMG! Yes! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

This review will encompass all three books in the series because altogether they're basically one book.

Lillian is a scientist who just wants to work with her role model. Her work involves alpha test subjects who are on death row. The scientists are trying to create the ideal super soldier using drugs on the alphas.

One day when she wanders down, she finds herself mated to number 351. They make eye contact and something happens between them. Eventually, she realizes the things the facility is doing in the science is extremely inhumane and decides to break out 351.

Book one is about how Lillian meets number 351 (Zach) and how they try to escape.
Book two is about the trials they go through together while at the facility.
Book three is about how Lillian tries to get Zach back.

I always have a hard time getting into omegaverse stories yet I still continue to try. It's always too brutal for the omegas but this book was different in that it was the alphas who were getting abused. I really liked Lillian and Zach. When Lillian puts her foot down, Zach would stop, which I really appreciated. I loved that they were willing to risk themselves for the other as well. I was just so sad in the epilogue when I learned that Zach never really fully got back to his normal self, but I'm glad Lillian stayed with him regardless because she knew he was it for her.

Short & dirty. Our FH is a scientist who finds out her new job is experimenting on death row alphas.
After she finds out how these subjects are really treated she decides she is going to free one that she has bonded with. When they are caught she is given an option. If she doesn't want to go to prison she must become a test subject where a forced mating bond is forced between her and 351. The Alpha she tried to free.
This leaves off on a cliff hanger so be prepared to pick up the second.

Lillian Dorne’s dream has finally come true. As a bioanalyst, she has been chosen to work with her long-time role-model, Dr. Axel, on a top-secret project for the government that performs tests on male alphas that were once on death row and females that have agreed to the study in exchange for shorter prison sentences. Lillian’s world quickly comes crashing down when she learns first hand just what kind of experiments Dr. Axel and his colleagues are up to and the extent of horrible treatment being done to the subjects. Still, even though her conscience is telling her it’s wrong, Lillian feels she has little control over the matter. That is until she meets one of the male subjects, #351, and in the process creates an oddly close relationship with him. 351 is an alpha that is injected with a special serum that causes feral behavior, limiting his speech and human-like interactions. Despite not being able to communicate very effectively with 351, Lillian becomes so connected with him that she soon makes it her duty to help the alpha in any way possible, even at the risk of her own job.

Even though 351 only has the ability to grunt some words, his behavior speaks volumes. Ash does a wonderful job describing the look in his eyes, his reactions, even his breathing pattern in such a convincing way that it’s easy to connect with him. Lillian is a little TSTL at times, but desperate times call for desperate measures, so she gets a pass. Together, 351 and Lillian have some of the most intense chemistry you could imagine between two people that barely speak to one another. And hopefully, 351 will eventually regain some of his communication skills in the future books, and their passion will only burn brighter. I can’t wait.

I am not pleased.

The story is gripping. It’s an interesting plot. A little sad for the characters really. But just when it gets to the point it finishes and I find out this NOT a complete book. It is a series of episodes. I HATE THAT!!

I don’t want to have to purchase two or more books just to finish one single story!! I did not get that this was a serial from the blurbs. After finishing this book I had to go on amazon and search the comments for one reviewer to say it was a book in parts. Three parts to be exact.

Had I known that, I wouldn’t have bought it. I prefer one story, one book, no extra books needed to finish one group of characters adventure. One male lead with one female lead in one contained item. Not episodes sold as individual separate stories to fool the customer into spending more for one thing.

Truly disgusted. I will finish this story but I don’t honestly care what happens here. I also will never purchase another book by this author again. Fooled me once but never twice.

Well, well, what do we have here? Smut with a meaningful plot?

I liked the fact that the author has put some thought into writing this book rather than just listing off sex scenes in a frenzy with minimum world-building and connection between the characters. It can be read to scratch the itch, if whenever you feel like reading a decent omegaverse and also want some action in it.

But I found this story somewhat dry and uninteresting. Maybe it's because of the cold and clinical vibes I got from it and the smut scenes weren't that great too. It's definitely & totally a "Me" problem. There's nothing wrong with this book. whatever it is, it's on my part. Because since I read The last Dragorai Series by Zoey Ellis, no omegaverse books are appealing to me anymore, and again, it's a "Me" problem.

I feel like the story started a little slow, became somewhat interesting and then the author had to bring in the erotica which ruined it for me - I kind of feel like maybe the author's way of writing erotic scenes isn't that good and into that she added some shameful things (kind of since it's another guy and not a likable one. besides the degrading things somehow they way the main character's thoughts were written made it worse)

This is another good story from Nora ash..
Miss dorne (Lillian) goes to work in a biological defence lab,she doesn’t no that they are working on alpha prisoners until she gets there and then sees that they are treating these alphas like lab rats..these alphas seemed to act more like animals instead of being a man and she doesn’t agree with it…they also show her the alpha, which they named 351 and this is where the story begins…..😁

DNF. Didn't like the whole setting. This wasn't a scorching romance. It was just eww and evil. And a little dumb. So very naive heroine. And then she just agrees to give away her rights to her body for a year and the discussion is so business like and chill, you would think she was buying a car. Just no.

Am I the only one who doesn’t know what Omegaverse is? According to google it appears to be this Alpha/Beta/Omega Alternate Universe where males can get pregnant. I’m not sure this is an Omegaverse since there didn’t appear to be talk about pregnancy in the males, but more about having control of the Alpha if you controlled their mate to make the ultimate soldier. Overall, I’m not a huge paranormal fan and so I had a hard time getting my bearings while reading this story. So my review is a bit on the fence with this one since I wasn't sure about this Alpha and Beta business and couldn’t follow this alternate universe without a bit more explanation. But the connection between Subject 351 and Lillian was amazing. It wasn't at all what I expected, but it was definitely steamy! There is a huge cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Hero 5 | Heroine 5 | Steam 5 | Plot 3 | Overall 4.5 Stars
Dual POV | MF | Paranormal | twists and turns | non-con elements
