Demon Magic #1

Happy Endings

Rate this book
Miles, a powerful mage, thinks life is right where he wants it. With a werewolf, a witch, and a demon in his house, what could go wrong? When fifteen people die at the same time in different locations, things start to look a bit bleak. The police are looking for someone to help, someone worthy of helping, but instead they get stuck with Miles and his demon Havoc, whose weakness is any woman that looks his way. They have been together for hundreds of years and, when things start to go wrong, they may be the only two that can save humanity. Which is really sad because they’re definitely not cut out to save humanity. When an attack leaves Miles’s life in Havoc’s hands the two start to question if there’s something more between them other than three hundred years of bickering. Along with a forest spirit, a perverted minotaur, and the two human detectives (that wish they’d have asked for help from anyone else), Miles and Havoc try to find the answer to their happy ending. No, not that happy ending you pervert. Okay maybe there’s that kind of happy ending too.

Magic. Snark. Banter. Sign my ass right on up!

Once again, I absolutely LOVED Alice Winters' humor, which was a bit like a sneak attack on your funny bone. Not over-the-top or slapstick, but just subtle and very... human?

I was drawn in right from the first hilarious chapter, where Miles, a powerful mage, used a glamor to make himself appear to be an old Asian woman, then proceeded to harass the two detectives looking for him about getting a happy ending massage, until they fled the building clutching their proverbial pearls. Truly funny stuff.

[Miles...]

Shortly after, Havoc, his muscley, indentured demon and resident skirt chaser, arrived on the scene and things only continued to get funnier and funnier. Their master/servant (sorta?) relationship had begun a few hundred years ago, with their snarking and sniping at one another getting better with age.

[Just pretend Havoc has horns...]

And since this is a romance, we saw their relationship change into something much more personal, more caring, even turning possessive, especially on Havoc's part.
I can instantly tell that she’s a succubus, and she’s trying to charm me with her aura.

“Hey, I’m here to see Aiden,” I say.

“Aren’t we all?” the other asks as she sets a hand on my chest and presses her breasts against my arm.

“Mine,” Havoc says as he lifts up a spray bottle and squirts her right in the face.

She jerks back. “What the hell?”

But by that point, the relentless detectives had already returned, informing Miles of a series of magical murders around the area, murders on which only he could assist.

So with Havoc at his side, Miles figured out that an old, powerful foe from centuries ago had returned and was attempting to kill other powerful magical beings to gain ultimate power.

And that was when the fighting began, just done a bit differently than usual, because these two goofballs weren't 100% conventional. As in, at all.
“So…are we humans supposed to run? I feel like by the time we get there, the fight will be over. Or, I’d be so winded I couldn’t fight. How do they do it in the movies?” Sam asks.

“I’m not a good runner,” Johnson says. “I’m getting old.”

“Let’s all walk slowly toward the fight,”
I say as I raise my sword.
The light-hearted humor of the story lasted from start to finish, even during the especially trying times, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The dynamic between the gruff Miles and his belligerent, horny Havoc totally worked for me, largely because I could always tell that neither man truly wished any ill-will on the other. That was just how they operated, full stop.
“Demons can feel power, and I was always drawn more to your power than his. That’s why demons always respect you. You think Iya respects or listens to anyone else?”

I snort. “It’s just because he wants to get in my pants,” I grumble.

“It is not,” he says. “I want in your pants, and I don’t listen to you eighty percent of the time!”
The story is mostly angst-free, with plenty of action, and some snarky sex thrown in to boot, which kept me pretty damn entertained the entire way through.

I didn't realize it at the time I began reading, but this was book 1 of a series which ended at a good point, with The Big Bad's main "helper" brought to justice, but the story will continue with the next book.

4.25 *snarky-bitch* stars and very highly recommended.

** NOTE: I checked in with Alice and she told me that the follow-up book should be out early in 2020, so I'm anxiously awaiting its release.

Really funny fantasy book with every imaginable magic character. Even though there were some serious moments, and in the flashbacks of the past there was abuse suffered by the main couple, the comedy always brought it back to a more lighthearted story.

And sadness. I'm not reading to be sad. The world does that well enough, thank you 2020!

So, we have Miles, a mage who has been alive for hundreds of years, and Havoc, his demon buddy... or is he a familiar? I don't know. They are bound together and Havoc starts out as a raging heterosexual. Don't worry, it doesn't stick. Miles' charm wins him over to the other team.

How dare you??? Milk is not healthy. That is just big cow propaganda!

Their romance is cute, but not really the main point of the story. It is more about them trying to figure out who is killing magical creatures.

It is tradition.

There were a LOT of characters in the book - with all different magical powers. It was a little hard to keep them straight at times - much like Havoc. He didn't stay straight for long... But, I read it all in one go so I was able to keep up. Mostly.

Okay, maybe I thought this few times.

A couple of my favorite moments were when Havoc gets hold of a spray bottle and sprays anyone in the face who approaches Miles, and when they get a "team" together (Team name: The Penetrators) to kill the bad guy and the humans let them know that running toward the action wasn't going to happen.

"Ready?" I ask.

"So.... are we humans supposed to run? I feel like by the time we get there the fight will be over? Or I'd be so winded I couldn't fight?" Sam says.

"I'm not a good runner," Johnson says. "I'm getting old."

"Let's all walk slowly toward the fight," I say.

Lol! I feel ya, Johnson! Getting old sucks.... but to be totally honest, I wasn't really much into running when I was younger either. I've always been the type of person that if you see me running, you better run too because something bad is chasing me. So, if you see Jilly running - ever - bad shit is going down.

Don't question it - just run!

Second read: My thoughts about this book are pretty much the same as the first time I read it. Not bad, but nothing exceptional. I will continue because I want to finally be able to finish this series.

_______________________

The book starts with a hilarious first chapter, but it continues with an underdeveloped intrigue. Miles and his bounded demon Havoc are roped into a police investigation to figure out why more than 15 people have been killed lately. Miles is the only one with the knowledge and skillset to help with the investigation, and things get even more complicated when he realizes that this might be connected with a very traumatic part of his past.

The ideas are good, but overall I felt that things were a little too easy or convenient for the main characters and we just did not get enough details or backstories to get into the heart of the investigation, so it fell a little flat. There is potential here, but the execution is lacking. The villain helping Miles’ old master was also shallow and the revelation of their identity and their plan felt out of the blue, I was shocked, but not because I couldn’t believe the betrayal, simply because it felt so random...

I also need to mention how stupid the main character was, and how this whole debacle could have been avoided if he’d used his brains. He didn’t want to burn his old master, because he was afraid that his ashes could be used by bad people in dangerous spells, so instead, he just buried him, without any kind of protection spell or any way to make sure no one had access to the body… I mean, it’s no surprise that someone dug up the body and used it for ill intent now, is it?

I love this version of our society where magical beings and humans live together and work together. There is a mix of mages, druids, vampires, werewolves, witches, and many more supernatural beings in this book and I loved it. Still, the world-building was very basic and I didn't get the vibe or atmosphere of the place as I did in the other books this author wrote.

They claimed they were Hunters but they refused to conform to a society that had begun to welcome nonhumans. Their idea for saving the world was to hunt them down and kill them. It was like a cult at the time, wasn’t it?”
Havoc holds up a finger and nods. “Ah yes. I remember them. They had you tied up a time or two because they thought you were weird,” he says, then laughs heartily at the memory.
“And you just watched both times,” I remind him.
He grins, flashing his fangs eagerly.

Miles and Havoc made a magical deal hundreds of years ago, stating that Havoc will serve no other human as long as Miles was alive, and in exchange, he would get Miles' soul when he died. At first, we are led to believe that Havoc does not like Miles much. He always argues with him and does not seem to care much whether Miles dies or not, but it quickly changes when Miles is seriously wounded and almost dies.

Miles is a nice and okay main character, but he feels a little underdeveloped. I don't know if it's the lack of backstory, but I did not care that much for him honestly. I loved the interactions between him and Havoc because of the sarcasm, but as an individual, he was only okay I guess. Havoc is a little better because he is snarky and has a violent streak that creates some funny moments, but he also remains quite a hollow mystery to me.

“See, it’s a relationship of give and take. Complete control and Havoc would hate me so much he’d look for loopholes, figure out ways to screw me over. Kill me if he could. But because I treat him like a human and give him enough room to do as he wants, he listens to me.”

I would have loved it if there was more sexual tension between them before they got to sleep together. It just happened in a way that was weirdly brought up and made me wonder at first if it was happening for real or if Miles was having a wet dream. 😅 Let’s just say that the relationship development is not the strength of this book (I was also expecting more of a hate-to-love or hate/love relationship and that's not what I got at all so I'm a little disappointed). The humor and funny banter do make up for some of it, but it still isn’t a masterpiece when it comes to relationship development.

Havoc went from sleeping with a different woman every night to wanting to have sex with Miles because he’d just spent a few days without having sex and he needed to sleep with someone. Miles just went along with it and they slept together, after what Havoc became possessive of Miles way too quickly, and they just fell into this friends-with-benefits-and-deeper-feelings routine too quickly for us to appreciate the relationship building.

“Hello,” the blonde says with a purr.
“What the hell?” she asks as she looks at him startled.

The romantic feelings seem to come out of nowhere because we don’t have many backstories about Miles and Havoc’s relationship. How they came to make their deal, how they went from strangers to strange friends… That type of information would have allowed us to better understand their reactions and interactions. We get some of it in bits and pieces through flashbacks that Miles is sharing, but it is not enough to get a good sense of their bond.

Speaking about the flashbacks, I am not the biggest fan of flashbacks in general, but I find that in this book, they were just there to serve as subtle info-dumps. We were shown how Miles was abused by his old master, and how he first got in contact with Havoc, but I can’t say that I felt the impact this traumatic past left on Miles.

“Funny,” Iya says. “I have been good. Miles, I did not penetrate the human, as you told me not to, even though he asked me to.” Sam’s face turns bright red. I could probably fry an egg on it, it’s so red.
“I told you that you could if he asked you to,” I say.
If a bull’s face could show horror, Iya’s is showing it right now. “Seriously? Oh heavens and hell… I have made great mistakes,” Iya cries. “Sam! He says it’s okay to penetrate you!”
“I’m going to run ahead and hope I get killed,” Sam says as he takes off jogging.

As in Alice Winter’s other books that I've read, there is a healthy dose of banter and humor throughout the book. I have to say though that while it did make me laugh many times, the plot felt weak in this one. I can’t pinpoint exactly what part bothered me, but while it is fast-paced, I struggled to get involved in the story, or Miles and Havoc’s relationship. Marco on the other hand annoyed me so much, even though he was barely part of the book. I am used to Alice Winters’ OTT character, but he was too OTT with his vain and narcissistic attitude, it was not funny, just annoying.

I will still give a chance to the second book, mainly because it’s a short book so it will be a quick read and I am hoping that the plot will be a little more elaborate than in this book.

An extra 10k meant an automatic re-read. And if anything it was even better the second time.

Original review.

I do love a book that makes me laugh.

Alice Winters has quickly become one of my favourite authors. This book had me from the first page.

No longer did I appear to be twenty-six with short brown hair, slightly longer on the top, and dark blue eyes. But instead I now appear to be a person a little more appropriate for screwing with someone. A seventy-four-year old Asian woman.

He’s bound to a powerful demon.

“Havoc, I call upon you,” I say...
Silence.
“Goddammit, Havoc, I know you’re there,” I snap...
“Havoc!” I snap. “You lazy son-of-a-bitch. Get out here.” ...
Goddammit,” I say. “Havoc, I’m going to make you scrub my toilets!” A minotaur pulls itself up out of the ground which is shifting back to how it was before the summoning....
Hey, Iya,” I say. “Where’s Havoc?”
“He sent me instead.”
“I see that. And what is he doing that was so important?”
“Reading a book.”

I just love this book.

“Havoc… Havoc! Oh my God, Havoc!” He looks over at me startled. “What’s wrong?” “Are you ill? What are you doing?” I ask as I touch his forehead. “Oh God, he’s dying. Someone help!”
He smacks my hand away. “What?”
“There’s a woman… she’s getting away! Hurry! Gotta catch them all.”
Havoc glares at me.
“Oh… wait… have you already slept with her?” I ask. “Sometimes I lose track.”

“Funny,” Iya says. “I have been good. Miles, I did not penetrate the human as you told me not to, even though he asked me to.”
Sam’s face turns bright red. I could probably fry an egg on it it is so red.
“I told you that you could if he asked you to,” I say.
If a bull’s face could show horror, Iya’s is showing it right now. “Seriously? Oh God… I have made great mistakes,” Iya cries. “Sam! He says it’s okay to penetrate you!”
“I’m going to run ahead and hope I get killed,” Sam says as he takes off jogging.

So there’s loads going on here. Miles is a powerful mage. He’s bound to a powerful demon. We have witches, wolves, vampires, sirens, sacred creatures. Plus of course an evil villain. Everything but the kitchen sink and it’s a fabulous fun read.

Now I want more. More, more, more.

4.5 ⭐️

I loved their dynamic, Havoc and Miles. Just imagining them being together for hundreds of years was already heartwarming. I love that their protectiveness over each other comes naturally and how they just get each other. They are so meant to be..🥺❤️

Laughing gas, that is how I would describe this book. Havoc and Miles are so hilarious I can’t stop laughing! I was reminded by my friends of how Alice’s books can be funny and yess this book definitely delivered. No matter time and place, their jokes just never fail me. I also love that both of them don’t shy away from being cute as much as treating each other full of bullshits sometimes 😂 in a funny and good way, obvi. Their love for each comes naturally and just makes perfect sense no matter how much Havoc had sex with women the entire time beforehand. They were perfect together. It was a wholesome journey honestly and aahhhh I love them! I can imagine them being together in the future, like those old married couples have cute banters all the time but so, so in love. Hehe I am obsessed <3

Not only the cuute and hilarious banters that kept me going, the creative storyline and writing were also addicting and entertaining. Along with Havoc and Miles amazing relationship, it was a hella ride enjoyable journey!

I do wish for more between them in the past and Havoc’s POV hehehe but it was all just enough for meee I love it!

Favourite details:

- sword scene LMAOO😂😂
- Havoc and his pepper spray BHAHAHAH 😭💀
- The ring !!! SO CUUTE😭❤️

Deliciously Wicked!
I had so much fun readying this book, very easy reading, just perfectIy long enough to have a good time, intriguing plot, so interesting and funny characters, delightful sex scenes, the comedy is so good, I was laughing out loud almost every time, I believe is the central piece for this story!
I had the feeling of references from HP and LotR mixed in a very comical way, I absolutely loved! Congratulations to Alice Winters, superb job!!!

I have this book on Audible too, I discovered that there is two versions of this book, the audio follows the second version if I'm not mistaken! Stunning performance from Greg Boudreaux, in the beginning I was quite confused with some characters with similar voices, luckily I had the book to guide me, only in chapter one, because he is one of my favourites narrators, and also I know he does a fabulous job making very different voices, I was a little picky for the first chapter! Overall, he was brilliant, kudos!!!

I love the book cover, praise to Cate Ashwood Designs!

Out of the ordinary, thoroughly well written.

4.5 stars.

Havoc is my spirit demon. I don’t know if that’s a thing, but I really loved him.

Alice Winters is a great writer. This genre isn’t what I typically read, but the way she built the world made it easy for me to understand demons, mages, necromancers, oh my!

Playful dialogue made Happy Endings exceedingly enjoyable.

Protagonist Miles’ POV. I enjoyed being in his head. He was clever and interesting. Flashbacks added richness.

You are going to ship Miles and Havoc... I just know it!

I had to knock down a half a star for the first chapter. The “happy ending” joke fell a little flat for me. If it does for you, too, keep reading. It’s worth it!

There’s a lot of banter here. A LOT. Romance - not so much.

Alice Winters had a special brand of humour. I’ve read books by her before. I just forgot that I’m not particularly into it.

Honestly. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you really need to read one of her books, and you can’t go wrong with this one, seeing as it’s the first in a series.

It’s set in a contemporary ish world where supernatural beings live along regular, magic-less humans. You have witches, mages, demons, vampires, wood spirits - you name it, and it’s in there.

The main characters are Miles, a super duper all mighty badass mage, and the demon bound to him, Havoc.

Havoc is into women, and he has sex with every single one that’s remotely pretty, but only once. Until, after saving Miles from a nasty attack, he starts having sex with Miles, because he hasn’t had sex in a few days and he’s horny.

That’s it. That’s the foreplay, the tension, the pining, the romance.

The plot isn’t bad - it’s a pretty well done world building, and the evil that rears its ugly read is really bad. So that part is fun.

What wasn’t fun, at least for me, is the snark and the banter. And I’m usually all for both snark and banter, but here, it’s been too much. I even started skipping the sex scenes because they just. wouldn’t. stop. talking, no matter if they’re fighting, having sex, or even doing mundane things like driving. I mean… decide for yourself:

“Thank god your penis isn’t as big as mine. I mean it’s almost tiny compared to mine,” he says.
“You’re returning to my shit list right now.” “Ah, forgot. Bare ass in the air makes you forget things,” he says as he looks back at me.
I try not to grin as I rub lubricant over my cock.
“Sing me a happy song,” he says.
“I’m not singing to you!”
“I am Havoc the Sexy. I do the penetrating!” “I told you we don’t have to do this! Do you want to do it? You can do it.”
“I will… allow it this once. Once, you here? Never again!”
“Ready?” I ask as I push against him.
“Yes, yes. Penetrate me!”
“Don’t make me laugh!”
He leans into me. “Fine. Fuck me, Miles.”

Why not DNF then, you ask? Because I got the audiobook, and it’s narrated by Greg B. And he actually did make it a bit better, so I went through with it.

Still. 2.5 stars rounded down, because I can’t in good conscience rate it with 3 stars. It’s probably me, not the book - you just need to know what you’re getting yourself into when you pick it up.

DNF 75%

That was some bare bones, flimsy writing. Some good ideas, but mostly unlikable, shallow characters and skeletal world building. I just didn’t care enough about the protagonists to finish. Not an author I’ll read again.

DNF as hell.

I actively regret buying this book, and regret even MORE that I waited too long to start reading and then couldn't return it.

The writing is bad enough, but our love interest is so goddamn hollow and without character (with what character he DOES have being THOROUGHLY unlikable) that I have NO IDEA why we are supposed to be happy about this couple getting together.

Also it happens seemingly OUT OF FREAKING NOWHERE. Just... Ugh.

I admit my bitterness may be magnified by the fact that I couldn't return the damn thing, but still. I am angry at the time I lost on this damn book.

Now I'm even ANGRIER because it's popping up as a recommendation connected to books I love. DON'T DO ME DIRTY LIKE THAT GOODREADS.

Reread/Relisten #4 May 2024

Wow has it really been 2 years since I have picked this series up?? Wild! Well doing a reread/relisten for the release of book 4! I still wish we had Havoc's POV, but can't win them all haha

Reread/Relisten #3 September 2022

Love this series, and doing a reread so I can listen/read book 3 since I don’t remember much of what happened. So glad to be back with group of characters and Greg B is amazing 🥰

Reread/Relisten #2 October 2021

This again makes me laugh out loud without trying very hard. I can't wait to listen/read book two. Greg Boudreaux does a great job with the narrations and makes the story that much better.

Also like my other review, i wished for Havocs POV but can't have it all.

Reread/Relisten #1 January 2021
I listened to the audiobook since Greg Boudreaux was the one narrating and I love his narrations. This was funnier than I remembered and I loved it going in to it.

Only complaint is i wish it was dual POV that would have made it stronger in my opinion, but overall great read!

Original Read/Listen: February 2020
Audio: 5 million Stars, it's Greg B!!
Book: 4-4.5 Stars.

Yes all the Yeses! Alice Winters to me can do no wrong when it comes to rom coms with a hint of action or magic!

I honestly don't know how she does it! She ties in the witty banter with a deep plot that you don't see coming since you are laughing almost every page!

I started this book at work... and being at the front, I had to make sure my face didn't give away that I was reading... it was a challenge let me tell you! The things that this author comes up with are so unexpected, it's hard not to laugh right away!

I loved Miles and Havoc's relationship and how they really relied on each other through all of their good and bad times. Since they have been together for hundreds of years!

This book had a HFN ending and definitely gave way for a sequel... which hopefully will come out soon because I already miss all of the characters... even Iya!! haha

I will always recommend Alice Winters to someone who wants a true laugh out loud romance with great action and adventure, and some steaminess along the way!!

Zero romance, 60% banter, 40% smut.
The story was overall ok.
I think I found a new audio narrator I like.

Things that annoyed me:
- Havoc sleeps with Miles only because he hasn't slept with anyone in 13 days, the horror.
- I know Havoc is a demon and it's unclear how old either one of them is, but Miles was 12(?) when they met.
- Havoc filmed them being intimate without Miles's permission.

TW for abuse and torture.

2022: This is one of those books I go back to when I just want something funny and snarky. The humor is a little OTT at times, but there’s some stuff that has me laughing out loud. Havoc usually. He’s my favorite little demon.

He walks up and smacks my book out of my hands. It slams against the wall, putting a dent in the already damaged surface. I glare at him as he stares down at me. “Fix the wall,” I snap. He yanks the paper off the wall, away from the hole Baron’s head had created, and carries it over to the new hole and presses the tape against it. “Fixed,” he growls. <—— Seems like something someone from The Office would do. 😂

2019: You guys ever read something you know isn’t really that great, but you inexplicably love it anyways? That was this book for me.

The use of tense, grammar, and editing all needed some work(though I can admit that stuff hardly ever bothers me unless it’s horrendous). The story moved a little too quickly for the seriousness of what was going on, and our MCs went from psuedo-dislike to humping in like .5 seconds. Not to say you couldn’t see attraction before, but in the actual scene it takes place it’s a bit abrupt.

But it was fun, dammit, and sometimes that’s really all I need to love a story.

Snarky banter is my ultimate kryptonite. I enjoy for my MCs to act like they don’t like each other. *shrugs*

It said at the end of the book that another was planned for 2018, and that obviously didn’t happen, but the author said on her Facebook that’s she still wants to do it so I’ll keep my eyes peeled for that. It ends on a soft cliffy and I’m interested to know what happens.

Bantering Grand Central with a lot of snark thrown into, some bickering and sarcasm. So much of that that I nearly lost sight of the story and they way the feelings between those two are developing ... but maybe I don't speak enough demon :)

DNF @ 50%

The story was entertaining, but there's a lot going on, and I just don't have enough interest to continue.

Plus, the MCs hooking up was a result of "I'm horny and you're around." and then a high level of possession ensues. They end up almost...domestic in a short span of time. What even is that?

Miles...

3.75 stars

Miles is a powerful mage who runs a cafe and keeps a low profile. That is until a couple detectives walk into his shop looking for help on murder cases. As the murders are of magical creatures Miles agrees to help only to find out the man he hates the most in the world, the man he thought he killed years ago is behind it all.
Now Miles and his group of friends must find away to stop Geoff.

Solid read with and interesting cast of characters. I loved the relationship between Miles and his demon Havoc. I look forward to reading more about Miles and Havoc's as well as their eventual encounter with Geoff.

description

That is how my actual face looked as I was reading this book. Holy shit was it ever funny!

Alice Winters completely nailed it with this one! It was my first time reading anything written by her and she did not disappoint! Happy Endings centers around Milliant - Miles - and his demon BFF Havoc. The police come looking for Miles for his help: a bunch of people were found dead in different districts and they all seemed to be killed at the exact same time. With his merry band of friends, including a werewolf, a witch, some strange council members, a forest spirit, and a demon with a huge naked penis, Miles and Havoc do their best to figure out what has been going on and who has been killing people in the name of an extinct organization.

The book being written from Miles' point of view was the best decision. His inner monologues honestly had me laughing out loud. At one point, my husband agreed that I would be like Havoc as I would most definitely hide holes in the wall with copy paper.

I mean... I can't say that he's wrong...

I was expecting more M/M sex than there was, but what the book lacked in hot, romantic scenes, it made up for in humor.

This was a good book and I liked Miles and Havoc. I will read the next one as well as I think it was a well though out story and interesting characters.

inbetween there were a few scenes which I found just dumb and lessen my enjoyment in this story

nevertheless, a good book and I liked it

At first I wasn’t sure about this because the romance is quite sudden and also sort of comes about because the demon doesn’t want to chase tail while his mage buddy is healing so he gets too horny and bangs his friend?!

But this is classic Alice Winters bonkers/funny/loveable characters in a fun low fantasy setting and I actually ended up loving it! I probably will continue with the series eventually it’s just the perfect pick-me-up.

5 stars for the narrator. Greg Boudreaux does an excellent job with this book, in fact, I think his narration made me like it even more.

Still enjoy the story. Bumping it up to a solid 4.5 stars. All the work of a good narrator.

Reread 09/2022 review- 3.8~4 stars??

Reread 06/2021 review- 3.5〜3.8 stars? I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first time I read it, it could be because it hasn’t been long since I initially read it but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Original 01/2021 review- 4 stars. Soo much better than I expected!! I definitely preferred the amount and type of humor in this book than that in the VRC series (😒🙅🏻‍♀️😬).👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I can’t wait for book 2 😁
Havoc x Miles 😆😉😏
