Rate this book
Do you want to know what it's like to wake up and know you've won?Every voice inside and around us is saying something different. Instinctively, we seem to know we are not enough. Our accomplishments, our service towards others, our bodies will never measure up. And the outside world does nothing but steadily support our feelings. In the fear, which feels like truth, we turn to God. Yet even He asks us to be 'Holy as He is Holy', to be perfect. With our last resort gone, we unconsciously cave in to the feeling of failure. But Christy has something different to God has something much different to say. This book, through its stories and everyday life, is about heavenly freedom from risk. Beyond us feeling inadequate, beyond hopelessness and despair, is our God insisting on something different. Your performance doesn't really matter because the results are His.This book is about success granted before trying. And then trying because Blameless has always been the plan.

Basically, I loved this book. Every story. Every word. Would you believe me if I told you that I've never read a book quite like this?

It's true. Reading Christy's book is like you're talking to one of your dearest friends. She is funny and honest and vulnerable and wise---all at the same time. And when you're done reading, you feel like you've known her for your entire life. Almost as if you grew up together in the same hometown. Shared secrets and adventures, failures and successes, joys and sorrows. It's like you've somehow grown up together.

Because this book isn't only about Christy. I mean, it is and it isn't.
It's also about me and it's about you.
And how we know we mess up and sometimes wonder if we're ever going to get this thing right. Our life, our home, our relationships, and everything in between. And all of it weighs us down.

We silently question if there's any real hope for us?
And there is.....

This was good. Very motivating.

Some of it made me feel guilty, quite frankly. It's definitely worth reading I just think some of the topics are a bit...over the top. It's very motivating though and ends very well, especially for where I am In my life right now. The timing was perfect. SAHMs and middle aged women should read it. You don't have to agree with everything to enjoy it.

Blameless: Living a Life Free from Guilt and Shame, by Christy Fiztwater is an emotional journey from beginning to end. Christy shows us through examples in her own life, how failures and moments of shame can be turned into hope so that we can become all that God wants us to be. I laughed out loud as I related to each of the stories Christy sprinkled with her unique humor. My heart also ached when I identified with a particular story so close to one of my own.
I have ordered several copies for friends so they can be encouraged also by finding a life free from guilt and shame.
This book was a complimentary gift copy.

This book is a must read if you need encouragement in your walk. To know that you really are ok, even when you don't feel ok. God meets us where we are, and helps us. His desire is for us to be holy, so much so, He died to make it possible.
This book could have been my life almost exactly, only the names & faces have been changed. Talking about the struggles of communication with husbands, family, friends, church family, plus all the words we use online & with social media. She also hits on housecleaning, eating habits, cooking & other daily struggles.
I think she challenged & encouraged every area of my life. And left me with hope, that even still, yes - I can change.
