I love the Mary O’Reilly series, so this was a fun read going into the future of the children from the series, Clarissa and Maggie. They are now together in college and become involved in a mystery surrounding someone from Clarissa’s past. Their investigation stirs up memories for her, both positive and negative, but can she come to terms with what happened then. Maybe this Christmas season can once again be a time for miracles.

I REALLY LOVED READING ABOUT CLARISSA & MAGGIE AS ADULTS!!!

Terri Reid is an amazingly talented author & I REALLY LOVE reading her books! I was a little disappointed after I read book 20 because I didn't want Mary and Bradley's story to end, so I was thrilled when I saw this story out; And it did not disappoint! I hope to read many more Clarissa & Maggie stories! Thank you for writing such heartwarming stories!

Good quick read

I'm not a fan of short stories as a rule, but as a Terry Reid fan, I figured this one might be pretty good. It is more than pretty good, especially if you need something warn and fuzzy like your favorite slippers. Classic Terry Reid - not too heavy on the romance, and just right on the mystery. Made me feel like a warm cup of coco does. All that and a happy ending. What more do you need in a quick pick-me-up?

I loved this short story. Clarissa and Maggie are all grown up now and living on their own, with Maggie's brother, Andy (now a cop) their sometimes roommate. They decide to solve their own ghost story as Maggie can also see ghosts.

This is a next generation Mary O'Reilly story and I hope it leads to a spinoff. No one can replace the original characters, but I love everything about this world.

What a magical glimpse into the future for some of our cutest favourite characters.

I was wondering for awhile now what Clarissa, Maggie and Andy would be like as young adults and Auld Lang Syne gave me the perfect sneak peak into the future and now I can't wait for more from these amazing characters.

A fantastic short story about grown-up Clarissa Alden and Maggie Brennan. I will have to say it's one of my favorite short stories by Terri Reid. I would love to see a series about Maggie and Clarissa if there are no more books about Mary. This story is ok as a stand alone, but to get the full experience of it, at least part of the Mary O'Reilly series should be read.

Great novella!

One often wonders how the children in a series turn out. What would they be doing years later? This novella answers the question for the youngest stars of the Mary O'Reilly Alden series. They are continuing the family business! I am looking forward to more adventures with Maggie and Clarissa.

A delightful story!

It’s difficult to imagine that Clarissa & Maggie are grown up in this story but they are. Their friendship is still very strong and they’re still doing good things. Trying to right the wrong that happened to Clarissa in her past, the women embark on a new journey together.

This Book Ties Characters Together

My greatest fear is that the characters being "taken care of" means an end to the O'Reilly series. I have looked forward to each new book for a long time; I needed to have the next book to look forward to. An old friend being there for me. Please keep giving us more.

Clarissa Alden and Maggie Brennan are living in an apartment together while they finish college at Northwestern. Andy Brennan also lives with them, but he is a rookie police officer. Clarissa and Maggie work together to solve a mystery involving people that Clarissa knew when she was a little girl living in Chicago.

Circles of influence

I have followed Terri's books for many years and always wondered how the children's stories would move on. Closing the circle of the terror of bad childhood experiences with a satisfying resolution. Kindness repaid as well

Auld Lang Syne

Took me a little bit to get my bearings and figure out who the characters really were. Once I did I realized who every one was and what was going on. This was a good lead in to a new series that I'm sure I will enjoy!!

Again very short

This is another very short story, more of your cosy mysteries type with paranormal. This was a free download so can't really complain. If you like them short then this is fine but I think I would like my next read a bit longer and with a bit more bite..

Loved this story.

I Loved this story. It was satisfying and surprising. The characters are strong and likeable. I didn't think I would like it as much without Mary having a role but these characters really are great.. I hope there's a follow up.🐥

New series?

I really hope this is the start of a new series! The story was not what I thought it was going to be about. I had just finished the last Mary series book. In that book people were traveling up and down an elevator visiting patients in a hospital.
This story opens with a familiar face in an elevator so my mind was thinking the same timeline. Imagine my surprise when I realized where the story really took place.
I loved the addition of the new/old characters. What these characters are hoping to do in the future is very adaptive to today's time. All of this sets the story up nicely for future books. I can't wait to see where Terri Reid goes with these characters!

Clarissa and Maggie Mystery

Classics and Maggie are on a mission to set Meri free. He was convicted of a murder that he did not commit. It just so happens to be the woman that was abusive to Clarissa when she was a child.
