God Made Night

Rate this book
God Made Night is a book that seeks to help children embrace all of the goodness of night, the dark, and bedtime. For those who have trouble transitioning to sleep, being afraid of the dark, being alone in their beds, scared of bad dreams, or just sad or angry that the day is over, this book will help them identify those feelings and replace them with better perspectives. It will give both parent and child things to celebrate and talk about together. A great bedtime story, this will lead to night time prayers, tucking in, and goodnight kisses. Soothing, beautiful pictures will invite good dreams. Wild Willow Press exists to provide a special and much-needed niche: children's books that weave spiritual truths into everyday stories and lessons.

The world of illustrated books for children has found a new voice. Author Kendra Andrus has added her unique song to the treasury that is children's literature. Her books bring to life the simple, spiritual music that permeates the life of a young child. Music in the words, music in the art, these books are what make reading aloud both captivating and gratifying.

Open the cover of "God Made Night" and you will discover a mother's musings woven into world of insight inspired by the many questions contained in a child's night time fears. Why is it dark? Why must we sleep? What's in the darkness? Am I alone? The words of the poetry dance and the illustrations move the words along in a magical journey through the days and nights of a child.

All in all, this book invites and inspires even the most reluctant read-aloud-er. Oscar Wilde advises, "If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all." You will definitely be willing to read this over and over again. I promise.

God Made Night is the true story telling us why God made the night. If you or someone you know is afraid of the dark, give them this book and read it out loud.

You'll learn some great things about why God made the night.
The things you will learn will make you say "WOW"!

I'm not afraid of the dark as I used to be. I look forward to the night because it will be followed by a sunrise.

One of our favorite types of bedtime stories are those that rhyme. This story has that, and so much more. For any questions my littles have about night and rest, God Made Night answers them best. 😉
