Blossoming Bones

Rate this book
Be careful as you approach the garden of spinal thorns: some of the flowers and bones are too fragile and too helpless, others are spiky and unbent. They can sting or heal you. The same applies to words. Some of them will soothe you, make you feel loose, and some may hurt you, like an unavoidable truth you never wanted to hear. But in the end, you will know that it was all needed, so you could grow into the beautifully-ornamented skeleton you support, flourished and blossomed. With spikes and all.
This is an autopsy of the heart and soul of the young.

Too many emotions for me to handle.
If I were a boat, and this book a sea, I'd be crushed by the water that I've come to be.

Palavras sentidas. Palavras que retratam momentos. Palavras que nos chegam ao coração. Obrigada por esta partilha. Para mim, foi um privilégio poder ler este livro. Estou à espera do próximo! <3

Decio Coelho dissects the human soul in Blossoming Bones, a beautiful collection of poetry. Some poems are about pain, others growth and healing. All are beautiful in their own right. One of my favorite things about Coelho’s work is that the entire thing collectively is a metaphor for the spirit of youth. This moving piece is perfect for any lovers of poetry out there!
