*thank you to Netgalley and Ian Wilms for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

5 stars!

Yes! Ohh my gosh yes. I LOVED this! There aren't that many (when compared to other genres and topics) books about the Tooth Fairy and this one is so well done! I wish I had been given a copy of this as a young child because it's also an activity book with colouring in pages and dot to dot puzzles and it has a page detailing what your teeth are called and at what age you lose them plus a page to record when you lost your baby teeth. This story will be sure to get kids to want to brush their teeth. It definitely would have worked for me and made it seem less of a chore and more of something that I'd actually want to do. Any book that does this for a child will be very appreciated by the parents. It even made me laugh and smile while reading it. Very well done!. Highly recommend.

Thanks to NetGalley for this free ARC in return for an honest review. A cute book about the tooth fairy, you teeth and good healthy habits. Right away we know where this book is heading, which is OK, because the journey is unique and fun. A mother comes into her children's bedroom to discover one has lost a tooth and does not want to give it to the Tooth Fairy. So mom spills a tale about the Tooth Fairy, the Pearly White City, healthy teeth and body, Prince Plaque and hero Sir Brushalot. Interesting and fun way to promote healthy habits and by the end the kids are no longer in the bedroom, so you can figure out where they are at. This book grew on me, and the more I thought about it the more I liked it. Cute illustrations, and a neat story, I think this is a great book for kids of any age since we really are never too old to make sure we practice healthy habits!!!

The tale of this story, all about the tooth fairy and brushing your teeth, is a very nice feature. The tooth fairy picks up the teeth donated by children and makes them into big teeth (with apples, water and a potion?) and then delivers them back to the children at night. Prince Plaque wants kids to get cavities, which is not good at all! Lucky for Tooth Fairy, her brother Sir Brushalot and the Knights of Floss will help defend the city!

The story is unique. It's definitely a different take on what the tooth fairy does, but I think kids will find it interesting and amusing.

I won't lie, the faces on the people in this book had the uncanny valley effect. They were real and yet... creepy, because they weren't perfectly weird. That was my biggest con since the story was quite sweet (pun intended... brush a lot... teeth... yes, I'm funny. Please laugh.). The other pictures, like the pearly white city castle, was beautiful and bright. It was just those people that made me feel uncomfortable.

My biggest positive of the book is the little baby teeth timeline in the back. I think that could be quite useful for educational purposes!

Three out of five stars.

I received this book for free via NetGalley.

I liked the idea behind this story and that it encourages children to clean their teeth but the book was lacking something for me. I thought that the images were a nice touch and clearly a lot of effort has gone into illustrating the story but personally I didn't like them too much as they were a little too fake for me. It was an easy story to follow and I liked the good vs evil approach. It is 3.5 stars from me for this one, rounded up to 4 stars for Goodreads and Amazon!

I knew right a way where this book was targeting and was so on board! I thought some more illustrations would not have gone a miss but it worked.

This story follows the tooth fairies from the pearly white city. They watch over the people of our world. The collect the baby teeth kindly donated by kids to make adult teeth.
Prince plaque wants children to get cavities so that their teeth cannot be used. Thankfully there is protection for the city by Sir Brushalot and his knights of the floss.

Ugh, the concept of baby teeth being donated to make adult teeth really put me off. My daughter (who loves brushing her teeth) was pretty weirded out by the tale. It is such a shame too because the story was quite brilliant but that was just too much!

She didn't ask me to read it again (which she nearly always does with any book) and she gave her toothbrush a weird look. I think it just missed the mark for us.

My Review: I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley, the following is my honest review and opinion. Munchkin just had another dentist check up and has been loosing teeth like crazy, so I thought this would be a fun book to check out. I love that this gives readers something other than the more girly toothfairy to read about. This is a fun way to get kids a little more into brushing their teeth, especially the boys, by turning it into a battle against germs and plaque. There is also some great resources about baby teeth and adult teeth and more fun activities for the kids. All in all it is a really fun and unique book.

Overall my 5 year old, who just lost her first tooth, enjoyed this book. I thought it was cute, nice illustrations and a good storyline. Cute names of characters. Sometimes I did have to paraphrase as it was a bit too wordy and the entire book is very short, maybe would have been better to have shorter sentences and a few more pages. The coloring pages and games at the back as well as the information on teeth/diagram was nice to have. Overall we really enjoyed this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free e-arc for review.

This story was super cheesy to me as an adult, but I can see how young children may enjoy it. I think that it tried a little too hard to have a point, and that a lot of children will see right through it as a blatant attempt by their parents to trick them into brushing their teeth.

This was a really cute and very funny story. Our daughter is too young to lose teeth yet, but I will look forward to reading her this again, at that stage, as she loved it now and found it funny, but I know she will love it even more then! Great illustrations to match the lighthearted nature of the book.

My 9 year old son and I read this together. This picture book is probably better suited for pre-school aged children. The pictures were cute. The plot is pretty simple and the tooth-care lesson is very thinly veiled. Not a book we need to read again. It was fine and might be fun for younger kids.

First of all, I love the illustrations. Kids would definitely love it too. I like the story too. It teaches children to take care of their teeth. As we all know, kids hate brushing and going to the dentist.

A book that talks about dental hygiene and why it’s important using a story that kids can relate to. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

While my inner dental hygienist cringed at the explanation of how adult teeth are formed the parent in me thought that this book was a great introduction to dental hygiene. The author does a great job of making dental hygiene fun by introducing us to the evil Prince Plaque and explaining how we all need to fight him and his Tartar Troopers. This would make a great book for dentists to hand out at the dental office for a patients first visit.
