This book was fantastic! Learning about different legends from around the world about mermaids was very interesting. My favorite fact from the book is that there are mermaid schools where people can learn to be professional mermaids.

All around the world, both good and bad. Different names, but same basic idea. Sirens, Nymphs, Merrows, Ceasg, Ben-Varrey, Ningyo, La Sirene, Iara. Mermaid sightings, real-life mermaids and mermaids in art.

I was hoping to find darker myths, no such luck. Quick read. Good for beginners.
