Udaan is a pathetic tale of Nikku, a household servant. In every rich family, there are countless Nikku working day and night at meagre salary. These servants are not called by their real names. Nikku is not orphan in real sense. His mother is dead while delivering him into this cruel world. His father brings a step mother for him. Then his father also dies and his step Mother brings home a new father for NIkku. Then begins his long torturous journey. He is employed as a bonded labour at an agricultural and then as a dishwasher at a sweet shops. From there he is employed as a help in a house in a city. He is tortured there, beaten up badly. He struggles and finally sets himself free.
