It is meant to augment the Power-Point presentation of interactive lectures and, at the same time, help students to maintain their notes in a systematic and organized manner. Besides concise presentations of the major topics, the workbook offers over 400 questions, 70 diagrams, and 20 tables for classroom discussions elaborating upon each of the topics included in the course curriculum.

The book Interactive Learning in a General Biology Class'' by Professor Igor V. Zaitsev, is magnificent in many aspects. for example, first, it explains all the vocabularies and their definitions are simple for that reason I learn it easier. instead of copying from a power point, oh, to study from an entire notebook, just there to use this book, so it's easier. It contains tables and the author explains it quite well and gives several examples. On the other hand, something that impressed me was that I can write and take notes in it without having to use a notebook since it is a workbook. The information that is in this book is quite concrete. In my opinion, this book is very well prepared and we need more books like these that make our learning better.

This book provides a basic foundation for someone who has never studied biology. That is to say, it names the building blocks necessary for a more advanced understanding of the science of Biology. For example, since the student will need to know organic chemistry this book starts with basic chemistry by introducing the student to atomic structure. Also, a study of Biology begins with learning about the smallest unit of life, the cell. The cell's structure and components are presented very clearly. Combined with Professor Zaitsev's lectures, his knowledge of biology, and his passion for educating, his book is a valuable asset. I would highly recommend this book.

It is a well organize book with a lot of detailed definitions and pictures to go with it. It has a table contents so that you can find what ever your looking for fast. I liked how I didn’t have to write a lot and just filled in the spaces with definitions that needed. This made it fast and easy to study.

It is a really great book that helps you follow the lecture better. Most of questions from the test comes from this book. The only thing that is hard is what you should really study, but the the professor want you to learn everything from the class that's why he does not tell you what to study exactly.
