With no other choice, she’s turned herself off from the world – away from her family and the so-called friends who’ve tried to use her for her supernatural gifts. The talented painter has been drowning her fears in alcohol when she meets sexy Michael Shcoltz, the mysterious billionaire who pays for her college. But why does he seem to have no past? There’s something different about this man - an old-world charm that women can’t seem to resist. He’s zeroed in on Valerie, but why? She’d love to trust him, for him to be her soft place to fall in an impossible world, but she doesn’t quite dare. Is Mr. Shcoltz there to save the miracle worker? Or to take possession of her and use her power for his own wicked agenda? I received this ARC copy an exchange for an honest review at my request.

This was a definite quick read however I don't know how I feel about this story. This ended with a major cliffhanger and so many questions that need to be answered. I do understand that there is going to be another book in the series however the way that it ended was so abrupt that I did not understand if the author did not come up with a good solid ending/cliff-hanger or if she just ran out of writing material or if she did this purposely. Either way the way that it ended was very off-putting.

Valerie is a conundrum. I have no idea what her her paranormal abilities are per se. We have a gist of what she can do however there is not a definition nor can it be explained. Michael being the vampire that he is I would assume that he has a general idea of what Valerie's gifts are but he does not either. I don't know if this is something that she has because of her family line or if this is something that only certain people have. Their entire relationship was weird to me. I do understand that Valerie has been burned previously by not only lovers but also friends and her shit parents. Michael was and is understanding and I do appreciate that however Valerie to me seems as though she is using his kindness in order to not try to find someone other than Janice. Even her best friend thinks that she needs to put herself back out there. Janice understands the issues that are going on with Valerie however Janice is also understands that she cannot be there for Valerie at all times. Valerie just needs to end up trying.

For such a short read this had a lot going on within it. It is not a bad thing that there was a lot going on because there are times where authors will try to pack 20 million story plots within a 90 page book however this did not have that issue. I do enjoy the relationship that Valerie and Janice had with one another. I would like to know more about how their friendship came to be. Also the Chris situation, I cannot even. I also loved Valerie's chinchillas. I would like to know if they're just normal chinchillas or if they're paranormal chinchillas. Can they sense the issues that are going on with Valerie?

To me the transitions felt off. For example, Valerie is drinking coffee one minute and then a sentence later Valerie and Janice are in the car driving. There were times where I didn't know what I was reading because the transitions were completely off. I'm the type of person when I read I have a movie playing inside my head and when it's supposed to be playing one scene and then another pops up I'm confused. The story itself was pretty solid aside from the transitions. I would like to know what is going to be happening between Michael and Valerie and what kind of gifts does Valerie actually have.

>Book Review – Saving the Miracle Worker
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the first in the Miracle Worker series and ends in a cliff hanger of sorts. Valerie, a college student, has always suffered from migraines. In her case, each migraine she has results in a miracle somewhere in the world. Michael is a millionaire, founder of Valerie’s college and a vampire. He realizes that Valerie is his Bind, or only person he can feed from. Janice is Valerie’s BFF. At the beginning of the book, the nature of the relationship between Valerie and Janice was unclear to me. They seemed as if they were a couple. This misunderstanding colored my view of the relationship between Valerie and Michael.
>Valerie does suffer, yet she is very needy. She even realizes she depends on Janice too much and doesn’t want to be the same way towards Michael. She never stands on her own except to fight off an attacker, which is mostly adrenaline.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the book 4 stars. Valerie isn’t that likable a character. I hope she shines brighter in book 2. Michael is actually a really good, understanding guy. Nothing is ever mentioned of the taboo aspect of their relationship (college owner vs. student), which is a bit odd.

TOO HOT

I'm an independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock.
I've had the pleasure of reading other books by this author before, so I knew going in that this book was going to be out of this world. And it didn't disappoint. At first I was a little apprehensive about reading it though, because it being a vampire romance. Being that vampires are at the end of my favorite books to read. Lionshifters being at the top! I'm so happy that I was given the opportunity to read this book. I could not put it down. The plot was right on. For a vampire romance it was sweet, it had romance and passion. Each page was better than the last.
Michael knew the first time he saw Valerie that she was his, his Bind. Which is like a mate. His one true love, to love for the rest of his life and being a vampire that is a VERY long time.
I recommend this book to anyone 18 and over that enjoys a little BITE with their romance. Warning this book has a trigger, an attempted rape. Hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

First let me state that I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. I always leave an honest review. This is my first time with this author.

Wow!!! I really enjoyed this story very much. Valerie is in college studying art. She has migraines that cause her to create miracles for others. She has a gr8 best friend in Janice. Janice cares is much for her friend that she gets angry that nothing can be done to help Val & she's very protective. Then there's Chris. He's a psycho. He lusts after Val thinking they're meant to be. Val just wants him to get lost. (Creepy). Oh, and Michel. He's one hot vampire. With all the shit that Valerie had had to deal with because of her "powers", she's untrusting of relationships and Michel has to work twice as hard to get her. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

A good and different romance!

Looking for a romance book with a twist to it? I recommend that you read this book. It has the lead characters but it is not the usual lovers. It does leave you with a cliff hanger so you will have to read the next book to find out what will happen. I am looking forward to it.

Who are we saving?

I'm not really sure what is happening with this story. I realize it's the beginning of a series but don't under where it is headed and what exactly is the author trying to say.
