This book's story line was really good. I really liked the hot & steamy scenes. I really liked action in this story. My heart broke 💔 for Kole. I was happy 😊 for Dana. I really liked the ending.
I knew once Kole lost his brother he wasn't going to stop until he annihilated everybody involved in any way, shape or form. What ultimate ends up happening is a man finds what he has been missing. Dana couldn't fight love, that undeniable feeling in her heart regardless of what Kole has done. Kole is a lover, he's a protector and he's loyal. Moon would be proud
This was a compelling read. The storyline is intense and holds your attention from the first to the last page. Dana and Kole Stone ( a great name) have a relationship that captures you. I loved the drama, the tension, the suspense, and of course, the poetry that introduced some of the chapters. Keith Thomas Walker slayed this novel! I highly recommend it. However, you must read Blackslide 1 in order to get the full effect.
This story was yet another masterpiece by this author. Once again, the cover shot of Mr Hottie was an easy draw. The story picked up with Kole and Dana in a one year relationship, and Tariq headed to college. The death of a dear friend sent Kole on a rampage, and his enemies were in grave danger. In the end he and Dana did not backslide too far... Amazing part 2.
4 1/2 STARS!!!! I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first. I loved that in this story we got a little bit of Dana and Kole's past from when they were kids. This story was full of suspense, secrets and revenge. I hated what happened to Moon and I was hoping that Kole made it through everything alive and well. I thought for sure that something would take a turn for the worst for Kole. I was happy that Dana didn't let Kole push her away, she was just as strong in this story as she was in the last. The ending was good but the one thing that would have left me completely satisfied, would have been if I actually got and extended epilogue with Kole and his bundle of joy. I would have loved to read one scene with him and his daughter. Either way, this was a great read and I look forward to reading more books from this author.
Backslide 1 & 2 have become my favorite gangster series. Kole was hard. He had a guarded heart. He loved a woman who turned out to be a ride or die chick, even though she took more from Kole than anyone should, she still love him. They had terrible ups and downs, but still found a way to save the love they had for each other. I'm definitely a new fan of Keith Thomas Walker!!!
Keith Thomas Walker can write. Everything about this book flowed: from the progression of Kole and Dana relationship , the action surrounding them. I didn’t know how the storyline would play out but all the twist and turns, and shocking discoveries was worth the read!
I'm going to keep this review short and simple. I'm speechless after reading this book it was so good, that is an understatement. Just when I think I had the book figure it out it went a whole different direction and loved every minute of it. Get your one click on. Must read
Keith Thomas walker is definitely a maestro with a pen. This tale grabbed me from the start and didn’t release me til then end. I recommend everybody and mama to read this story. And if you haven’t already go get yourself a copy of Backslide so you won’t be lost in sauce! Bravo to author for this masterpiece!
I was pleasantly surprised to find Backslide 2 already waiting and y’all know me, I just finished. The one think I liked most about this story is that I didn’t know which way it was going to turn out, what would Kole’s decision be about The Organization, would Dana leave or stay? Mighty fine writing Mr Keith Thomas Walker!
Backslide 2 was full of twists and turns that kept glued to the pages. Kole is complicated, like Shaft and he loves his woman Dana! He just has to return to his former to find out who killed his best friend! Urban lit is not my usual genre. I took a chance because I wanted to see how Mr. Walker would deliver this gritty story. He did it with twists, turns and still managed to deliver a well-written story from the hood!
For some reason I was expecting “Backslide 2”; so imagine my excitement when I saw the promos for the release. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dana and Kole’s story in the first book. Book kept me on pins and needles, but I enjoyed every word from beginning to end. T
I loved getting more from Cole and Dana. This story was so exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat. Cole got on my nerves at times, but Dana always held her man down.
Very good book. Love the suspense and romance. Kole and Dana are great together. Hate the reason that Kole had to backslide but glad he did it. I'm gonna try more of this author's books.
Just like book one this one was amazing as well! I’m glad Kole finally was able to become the man Dana needed him to be! I completely understand everything he did for his brother!! I love it
Kole’s retirement from “The Life” means nothing when things go down. How he handles the test, sorrow, retaliation and ultimately the solution is astounding. #cillasbookmaniacs
