Title: Family Is Forever (Conversion #6) Author: S.C. Stephens Genre: Romance, Paranormal Publication Date: February 22, 2018
It's here! The Adams family is here! I simple adore the Adams Family and in this book, All is well.
Family Is Forever is every bit as good as the rest of the books in this series. This book is centered primarily on Julian and Nika and their struggles of growing up and the conflicts surrounding certain decisions. As I write this review, my fingers are itches to type out all the spoilers and fan girl everything about this book but I am controlling myself, I will try NOT to spill any spoilers. Julian struggles with the loss of the love of his life; Arianna. He sees her in school but after his great grandma wiped off her memories of him, he feels at lost and is willing to do just about anything to make her fall in love with him all over again. Nika has finally content with her life as a full fledged vampire yet feels somewhat constricted with the restrictions of living with an over protective father. If you've read the series before, you would know that Nika and Julian are twins with a special bond that makes them feel everything the other person is feeling, literally. When Nika died in the previous book, that bond was severed. In this book we observe the Joy of not having any uncomfortable moments (hahaha)and a sense of melancholia of having that bond between them removed. Nika and Hunter are closer than ever.
Family Is Forever is packed with action, suspense, love, family drama, a huge dose of humour. The secondary characters in this series are one of the best I have ever read. I love this family and their journey through life. I hope you give this series a try.
On a side note, I don't know if this is the last book in this series. If it is, I wish there was an epilogue cause even though the ending was sweet. I wanted something.. the nosey side of me wants to know what happens to them in the future 🤷😁
OK going to start this book review out with a disclaimer... I am an over eager baby book blogger who jumped at the chance to be part of a blog tour without really paying attention to the book.....What I did not know was this book is the sixth book in the series... and this book is about vampires... I think I saw the word family and thought I’d love it, I just didn’t realize the family was of the paranormal variety..... nothing against vampire books, believe me I’ve read my fair share, it just has been a while and it was not what I was expecting, but that is on me! The problem I had with starting on the sixth book is I really didn’t necessarily understand the rules of being a vampire in this world, they seem to vary greatly from book to book, and I really had no background when it came to that..... I also didn’t know the background of the family dynamics and love relationships.... but in spite of all of this I really did enjoy this book, and that is because these characters were very wonderful.....
Julian has lost the bond with his twin sister and the love of his life..... Arianna has had her memory wiped clean she does not remember her boyfriend Julian or her best friend Mika.... so Arianna and I had a lot in common, we had no backstory, so she was probably my favorite character..... Mika’s relationship with Hunter her boyfriend/sire was quite interesting.... especially when daddy was quite overprotective....
There is quite a bit of action and suspense in this book that I didn’t always completely understand, but still found enjoyable.... I believe the moral to this review is don’t start a series on book 6! Will I pick this series up and start on the first book? Probably not because I know the ending.... and it is such a super sweet ending💗
*** thank you so much to the author and Ink Slinger PR for a copy of this book ***
I heard so much about S.C Stephens and her romances, so I was curious to get into one of her books. Well, I still think that I made a mistake to take the novel without looking at what it was exactly because I was finally surprised to see that it was a volume 6 and that it was not a contemporary novel but a book about vampires! Yes, it was not what I expected but I can only blame myself! I must say that I am not too much in my “vampire” phase right now, but I had a great time with the novel. I realize that it would have been more logical and perhaps simpler to start with the first volume of the series, but in the end I did not have so much trouble getting into the story.
We follow here alternately several characters but mainly Nika and her brother Julian. The two of them had changes in their lives and they are both trying to deal with the consequences now. Nika has to face her new vampire condition, but also her relationship with her soul mate Hunter, something that is really far from easy. For his part, Julian must face the amnesia of his girlfriend and try to win her back and his patience is undermined many times! In addition to all these events, a hunter arrives in the city and attacks them except that he seems immune to their powers of compulsion. In trying to understand how it is possible, our vampires will discover a very disturbing problem.
As I said, I had a good time with the novel and I was very surprised to let myself be dragged and carried by the story. The characters are all interesting and I loved to know more about them. I suspect that my gaps will be complemented by the previous novels, but in any case it was for me a good discovery. There is an evolution of the characters from the beginning to the end of the story and I am quite curious to see what the author will propose next!
Family Is Forever is the conclusion on this series from Stephens. I did not read the first 3 books in this series and wasn't too confused when I started on book four, since it's sort of "spin-off" and the last 3 books are about Nika and Julian. The other characters from previous books are in these, but there isn't any confusion and Stephens does a great job of summarizing who everyone is and how they are all related.
As with the previous two books, the story is about Julian and Nika and their struggles in their world. Nika is now a full fledge vampire and is sired to her boyfriend, Hunter. We also get snippets from Hunter's POV and they struggles he faces along with Nika.
Julian is having a hard time handling all the new changes going on. He lost the love his life, Arianna, because her mind was wiped clean, so it's as though they are starting all over again. Arianna remembers nothing about Julian or Nika so it's a rough go. Julian also lost his sister when she became a full fledge vampire and the special bond that they shared was severed. He wants to help out more in the family and not be left on the sidelines because he isn't old enough or whatever excuse their father seems to come up with.
Nika is happy being a full fledge vampire. But her father is a tad overprotective, so Nika struggles with her bond to Hunter because of the restriction her father puts on them. While Hunter adheres to everything, Nika definitely pushes them.
While Julian and Nika are dealing with their own personal struggles, the family has to deal with outside issues that are trying to end the life of all vampires. I was definitely intrigued by this enemy and curious to see how everything panned out.
Overall, it was great ending to the series. There is a lot of action and suspense. While I felt parts could have been more condensed, I still enjoyed the majority of the book. The secondary characters played key roles in this book and helped keep the story line interesting. If you are a fan of PNR, I highly recommend his series.
This is the sixth instalment of the Conversion series and we are back following the Adams family life and the consequences/situations they are now living with after the last few months. Julian is trying to cope with the fact that he still loves/wants his now ex-girlfriend despite the fact she has no memory of him thanks to it being wiped. He’s also lost his sister Nika in a way, now she’s a pure blood. Even though Nika is happy and in love with her sire Hunter, Julian struggles now they don’t have a bond. Despite all this the Adam’s are adapting to the changes in their lives but soon enough something is threatening their way of life and very being again and everyone must come together to protect the family!
“Protect the nest, no matter the cost. That was our family motto. Lately, the cost had been high.”
I’ve always loved a good paranormal story and this series doesn’t disappoint. Yes it’s a vampire romance but it kind of has a believability about it and a grown up tone. A vampire story I could actually see being real; a massive hit for me. I also loved that we followed the romance side of things in the separate view points of Julian and Nika.
“Every day is torture, and time is only making it worse. Even now without her my chest feels hollowed out, and I know that all I have to do to get rid of that feeling…is run to her.” Lowering my hands, I locked eyes with Teren. “She’s the sweetest drug, tailor-made for me.”
We have a lot of characters in this book who stand out as main characters for me- it’s a big family, a big story and there are a lot of people to love, hate, be angry at and laugh with. Julian and Nika are the clear stand out characters though as we read the story through them. I adored Nika; I thought she was really strong willed and stood up for herself; it’s wasn’t an easy situation she was in but she was always standing strong and fighting for what she believed in. Julian was also massively likeable, I really felt for him at the beginning; losing his girlfriend and, in a way, his sister. But his love for both of them really shined through and how he never wanted to give up was so admirable.
“Then you know why I can’t lose you again. I can’t. I won’t get through it. You can call me old-fashioned, you can call me sexist, but really…I’m just selfish. I can’t cope with the thought of losing you....”
This was full of drama and tense situation that kept you hooked and eager to keep turning those pages. With the vampires wanting to create peace and forge a bond between the human race and with both sides having those who disagree it’s obvious this is not going to be an easy feat! But with the drama also comes the love stories of both Julian and Nika. I love how this books is kind of two stories in a way; one about vampires and humans and the other about two couples trying to find their way to be together. If you love a paranormal story with a slightly more grown up feel to it then you will love this book!
If you are reading this book I will assume that you won't mind spoilers from the previous book.
I needed an epilogue. I needed something to show me that even ten years later everything was all right with all the people I loved. The book ended on a light note though and I found it sweet. I am going to miss these characters. It's been 6 years since I picked the first book and loved it. All the books got 5 stars from me.
My heart was hurting for poor Julian whose only goal was to get his girl back. Arianna has no memory of her love for Julian and her strong friendship with Nika. So, Julian with the unrequited help of his friend tries to get the girl and the happily ever after. I have to say that Julian's friend might have started as the stoner friend who wasn't very likable (to me at least), but in this book, I appreciated him and he got on my good side. Could we have a novella about him? One where we can also see some of the people we already know?
Nika and Hunter have also problems, but they are in a better place since they are still together! Their problem is the bond they share which drives them crazy (among other things) each day. Well, that and Teren who is very protective of his baby girl and refuses to acknowledge the fact that his daughter needs to be with Hunter. I wanted to see Nika adjusting to her new life as a vampire who couldn't get into the sunlight. I don't know if she handled it so well because she was already used to the other vampires coming out only in the night or if there was just no room for her to begin questioning how she was going to live the rest of her life.
I was really worried about who was going to make it out alive when I was reading the book. The villain in this one is the most threatening and he could have ended the vampires with his plans. No one was safe and it worried me. The book had a lot of twists and most of them somehow ended up giving something to the family (with some sacrifices on their part). I want one more book where I can see the family living their lives with all the new twists. It makes me sad to see the series ending. I want more. I don't want to say goodbye to the characters.
We are back at it with Nika and Julian. Well, and the rest of the gang, but these are the two I am all about in this read.
This book was SO much. It was crazy and full of the entire family and the quips that come with them. It was also full of the chaos that we all hoped wasn't on the horizon. Well, shocker, but it was.
I've been with this series since book one and I am in it for the long haul. I had no idea how this book was going to play out. It got so crazy towards the end that I was completely baffled. I was scared and excited and totally on a ride that I didn't know the end of.
Perfection.
I truly hope this isn't the end. I want more. I want so much more. Stephens gave us perfection guys, and it is this book. Everything you were looking for.

It is so bitter sweet to write this review. This is the sixth and final book of the series. You will need to read all the others first before this one or you will be lost. Fans of the series, never fear. The author brings out the big guns for this one. Still lots of angst for out young adults, Nika and Julian. Lots of paranormal action and some new shocking revelations about 'born" vampires. Uncontrollable heat between Nika and Hunter that will set the pages on fire. And most of all---family.
I love that all of the books come down to family. We are who we are because of them and like it or not, there is always love to be had. It doesn't matter how badly we screw up or want to defy who we are, family is the glue to keep us together and grounded.
Meeting the Adams family has been a wonderful journey. Stepping inside the author's twist on paranormal has been refreshing. This book still manages to bring in the humor despite the danger and action happening throughout the story.
So, my 4 1/2 stars are standing there wanting to be 5 stars. I am an epilogue whore and although the story ended with hope and promise, I found myself with questions. Just a sneak peek at 5 or 10 years down the road. A wedding maybe? Babies? I needed--wanted--just a little bit more. A novella in the future? Add it to my wish list. ;)

Family is Forever (Conversion #6) by S.C. Stephens 4 stars M/F Paranormal I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
I have followed this series throughout. I would definitely suggest that you read all books in order, because otherwise it might feel as though you are missing pieces of the story, as well as dynamics between family members.
Julian is struggling with the decisions of the past few months. He feels like he's lost his sister somewhat, he's lost the love of his life and he wants to be more involved with keeping his family safe. While he's still in school, he knows that he's going to be losing out on his chances with the love of his life and he doesn't make the best decisions when it comes to that.
Nika is working to accept her new reality. While she doesn't love the fact that her dad is so strict, she understands to a point. When outside forces try to tear her family and way of life apart, she also has to contend with her sire's issues and her brother's unhappiness, in part due to her situation.
At times, this book felt a little drawn out - I felt that it could have been condensed and been just as good. I liked how complex the situations became with the hunters and appreciated what each side was trying to accomplish.
The secondary characters were necessary and helped to further the story along, as well as give alternative perspectives throughout.
Overall, this was a good ending and I felt that most things were resolved.
The scenes were very familiar. Maybe I have read this already.
Anyway. Thank you for the closure. Hahaha!
The overall conflict was better than the previous one. (Did it even have a conflict?) I actually felt a bit sad about the ending of the series. But it was a good ride.
Hope there was just a POV for the older/original characters.
--- "Life is scary but…hiding yourself away and not living it…that’s even scarier."
I absolutely love this book and everything about it. This whole series was absolutely wonderful and I just cant stop loving this family. SC Stephen just continues with such an amazing story.
Arc was kindly given in exchange for an honest review.

I always seem to start a book series midway through, but in a rare move I actually read the Conversion series in order. I recommend starting the series in reading order, but if not, to at least start by reading the last three in book order. You may get a little lost if not. The last three books focus on Julian and his sister Nika. The twins are trying to balance high school life with their unique vampire family dynamic.
The book picks up with Nika fully vamped out and with Julian facing the consequences of life without Arianna. Not only has Julian lost his girlfriend after her memory wipe with little hope of getting her back (thanks Grandma), but he has also lost the twin bond and mind link to Nika. Nika has her own problems; hiding from the sun whilst being in the throes of a sire bond with Hunter.
I'm a big fan of this series. I loved Teren and Emma but I think I like their children more. I can never decide how I feel about Halina but I like all the complicated wonder that is Hunter the hunter!
I had a horrible sense of doom for a lot of the book. I kept thinking something terrible was going to happen. Does it? Ha as if I'd tell you that! I will say that the story is full of twists and turns to keep us guessing.
Family is Forever is a good ending to the series but I can still imagine further spin offs...
4 Stars in my Sky!
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review!
In this paranormal romance series, we get the conclusion we are waiting for. The final part of Nika and Julian. We have followed their story throughout the past book and into this follow up, and I was desperate for a HEA for both vampire twins.
In Family is Forever, we start where the last book left off. Arianna has no memory of the love of her life, Julian, and Nika is adjusting to her life as a full-blooded vampire.
In the last book, Arianna has her memory wiped and she no longer knows who Julian is nor even her best friend. Julian struggles with this while trying to win her back, and getting her to know him all over again. He sees her daily, but knowing she has no memory of him is devastating to him. Passing her in the halls at school is a heartbreak around every corner.
Nika is finally becoming comfortable in her own skin, while still dealing with the limitations placed on her by her controlling father. Her relationship with Hunter faces its fair share of tests as well, but while their bond is tested, their commitment to one another is never stronger.
This was a nice wrap up to the series and although I am not sure if SC is going to move forward with anything else within this family, I was happy with the overall ending to it here.
I am not one for long book series. However, I am a fan of SC Stephens (Kellan FOREVER!) First, I strongly suggest you read at least the first three books in the series , in order. Otherwise, you will completely miss the nuances of the goings on between the characters.
If you’re one of those people that thinks there is no original storytelling out there – then I disagree – because that is what SC has given us in the satisfying ending to the series.
Julian Adams “life” is in ruins. Life being a relative term because he is a vampire. The woman he loves, Arianna, does not remember him or anything about their lives together. Thanks for that one grandpa! His sister, Nika, seems to have accepted that her circumstances are forever changed – she is now a full fledged vampire. That means her twin bond to Julian is gone. Serving to make Julian feel even more lost.
I loved how SC wove everything together, plotted a few strategic plot twist that made me go Wow and still managed to wind things up with a sweet and satisfying ending. It made me want to go back and read the series again.
Epilogue please? I’d love to know how everyone gets on after the dust settled.
Just like all the conversion series I loved every second of it and I struggled to put it down even to just get a drink. I am so happy that Julian finally got his happy ever after as that is what has left me so torn with last book. Family is forever takes you on a rollercoasters of emotions as you see just what everyone will go through to keep there family together to make sure there safe and to save there life. The one thing that has never been more clear and stayed the same in all the books is family is the most important thing and comes above anything. To see how big the Adam family has come warms my heart I love each and everyone of the members and so fare even tho I'm devastated the book has come to an end this one was my favourite ending knowing from here on out as long as nothing goes wrong in between everyone will get to spend eternity with those they love and there family I hope there is another book but if there isn't then this was a perfect way for the series to come to an end
Wow.....this one was a great book, characters old and new were well written. All in all this series has to be one of my favorite paranormal series ever published, why you say?, well simply because for me it was different.....if you have a vivid imagination this could honestly be real!! Haha I know vampires aren't real but the way this series is written it's totally believable! The storylines in all 6 books are fantastic. S.C. Stephens is an awesome author, I've read everything she has written. The only downside for this book is this is supposed to be the last one of the series.....so sad because I don't want the series to end! If you like paranormal stories with family loyalty, courage, angst, and HEA's you will definitely like this one! Great Series!
I'm a huge fan of this author's incredible writing style and this book affirms it! I had not read any of the previous books in this series and I was at a disadvantage in understanding certain family dynamics and relationships. Nonetheless, the author does a great job in flawlessly articulating the story of this family so that overall I was able to enjoy this read. This story focuses primarily on Julian and Nika and the struggles they have faced. Suspense action and passion are beautifully intertwined in this read. The characters are likable and well developed. Paranormal stories are always a challenge for me to read and this one was well executed and enjoyable.
I adore this family and I’m sad to see them go. I stumbled onto this series by complete accident and I have fell in love with each character.
Julian is searching for his forever. Determined to make her remember.
Love and the forever future is on the line. Lots of great action as they once again fight to keep their family intact. Growth, warmth, and love that will never die that’s what this one is.
I think Hunter is my favorite. He’s all brooding and hot. And I think I may need Olivia’s story...like now! She is such an intriguing character.
The whole series will have you humming the Addam’s family theme and saying Edward and Bella who?
I have read all these books and there fantastic, the first 2 book are by far my favourites and I have read them more times than I can count :) but all the books are a good read- gripping and humorous and once u start you have to finish as the family of the Adams are to addictive you just have to read the next and find out more about there lives. All books follow on from each other witch I like. I chose a 4 * on this last book mainly because I felt it a little repeated at times but a great ending to the set. You'll wish the be a Adams. If you like a vamp boy, excitement , romance and a great family storyline these books are a must read....
So bittersweet. I read that this is the final book in the series. I loved this story, but so sad to see the series end. I love this family so much and I could keep reading this without getting tired. I love the interactions between all the characters. The story is fresh and creative and I can't get enough of these characters. This series just continues to get better and this one is definitely my favorite. While I am sad to see it end, I can't wait to see what S.C. Stephens will bring us next!
Unfortunately, after reading and thoroughly enjoying the previous five books in the Conversion series, I had to DNF Family is Forever. Seeing as this was the last book in the series, I tried my hardest to stick it out, but this book was very slow and immature to me and nothing like the previous books. When there was still nothing really happening at the 40% mark after attempting to get into the book for close to two weeks, I decided to not proceed.
It’s such a good thing when the reader wants to keep reading right? I just love this family! I want to know what keeps happening with everybody! This was my second time reading this book. It had been a while since the first time and I completely forgot how satisfying this book is. I need to know more about Trey too because.... Trey. He’s hilarious and totally smarter than we first think. I hope lots of others love this book and this series as much as I do!
Once again I am so impressed with Stephen's writing. This series has been so creative and this book continues with that trend. I love reading about the Adams clan. This book continues with Nika and Jullian relationships and friendships as well. I do wish there was more of a time gap at the end. Maybe something could be written in the future. The series has been completely worth reading.
This one started out pretty slow. I want a huge Arianna fan in the last book so have to read about her every Julian chapter was kind of annoying. So was Terans obsession with keeping Nika and Hunter apart as much as possible. Once things got going it got better but it took almost half the book. I will miss the Adam's family.
I loved this series from the beginning! This one had some twists I didn't see coming and they were great! I'm sad that this adventure is ending but what a way to end it! Awesome job and Thank you S.C. Stephens!
