The greatest mystery of all is now an irrefutable fact. Scientists in a Brain Trust have eradicated most of the disease, poverty and hunger that exists. In this overcrowded world, technology that can raise the dead is strictly forbidden. When the Brain Trust is wiped out by a natural disaster, World President Marsha Holt decides that humanity cannot be without our benefactors, and gives the order to bring them back from the other side. The Earth is not ready, and likely will never be ready for the revelation of what happens to us when we die. Four scientists travel a path no human being should ever travel. Every question is answered...Beyond The Aether.
Susan Frances was born in Queens, New York, but lived with her husband and raised their children in New Jersey.
Susan says, "All things science fiction have always interested me. Stephen King, Kurt Vonnegut and others like them draw me in, but I always look for that spiritual edge in stories."
Very interesting read. The story takes you to a world where technological innovation eventually leads to a society struggling with the marriage of morality and religion - how they intertwine, and how a sudden change in our belief system may have widespread influence over the actions of humanity as a whole. Thought-provoking from beginning to end.
The author sent me this book for free to give an honest review! This book was a pretty good read - I was intrigued by the story line, and what happened to the scientists, but there were times when it was really hard to follow. It was a little too Sci fi for me, but I think others would really enjoy this book!
A lovely read indeed! A Glimpse Beyond the Aether is truly in deserve of an upgradation in both visibility and acclaim. I shall have read it thrice by the month's closure. Hoping for a sequel! Cheers~
This book was awesome with sci-fi and spiritual undertones It kept your attention and it was very well written I would recommend it and give it 5 stars
I really enjoyed this book. It does require the reader to take a step back because of how society as a whole would change if the religions and all that were a hoax. Great thought of a ideal. Really enjoyed and made me stop and think a lot!
I read this book for a book club and I’m pretty sure I never would have read it otherwise. Sci-Fi is not really my genre. I went back and forth with this book because I wanted to like it but it was just missing a connection for me. There was no specific narrator til the very end so you didn’t really get a chance to know anyone well enough to be invested. Then there were some random character that I’m still not sure how they really tied into the story.
⭐⭐⭐ (3 out of 5) I was willing to finish this book but was rather relieved to be done with it. I wish there would have been more connection with at least one character.
The story was very intriguing! However, the construction of the passages was a little rough. I was able to follow simply because I've read so many stories, but there were many times it took me a minute to figure out who was narrating. Had it not been for the layout of the paragraphs I would have given a 4 star rating.
