Ethan Winter's world is rocked after a tragedy leaves him an empty husk of who he once was. He lives his days focusing solely on his patients and not much else. He used to have it all and now found himself empty handed. There was nothing that could make him feel any better.

Crow Kensworth is ready for the time of his life. He just recently came out of the closet and is preparing for his first national tour, his music career taking off. Things couldn't get any better.

When Ethan's world crashes into Crow's everything gets thrown off course. Suddenly, Ethan is reminded of how good it feels to hold someone. At the same time, Crow is learning how good it feels to be held.

The two men start believing things actually could get better.

Then the letters begin, and Crow's world is threatened by a stalker who seems to have their eyes fixed on the swoon-worthy singer. Both Ethan and Crow will need to find strength in each other as the stalker becomes desperate for Crow's heart, going to lengths that neither of them ever imagined possible.

One thing that I really liked about this one was that there is an instant attraction between Dr. Ethan Winter and rising music star Crow Kensworth. so many times, we have to wait almost half the story or more for the two main characters to decide if they like each other even a little bit. Not here...good vibes right off the bat. Those vibes sizzled and flamed throughout the rest of the story. I knew after just a few chapters who Crow's stalker was but the author built the tension up by throwing in some red herrings. I'm glad Ethan and Crow got everything they deserved, and I thank Max Walker for another 5-star romance and letting us share Ethan and Crow's amazing love story. I have always loved everything this author has ever written, and I loved every part of this one also.

OK, what do we have here…

1. Very likable, warm and kind characters

2. Characters who become friends before jumping into bed (delicious slow burn!)

3. 4 flames sex once things heat up (hot but not scorching)

4. A side plot that allows our heroes a few hours of peril and a White Knight situation

5. A charming and lovely HEA

No doctoring, which is what attracted me to the book, but I enjoyed it without the hospital drama.

This can be read as a stand-alone.

Recommended.

Crow is a famous singer about to go on his first tour. He kicks off the tour with a performance in a bar. It is there that he meets Ethan, who can’t seem to keep his eyes off Crow. The two are drawn to each other like magnets and at the end of the night they share a hot kiss..

Crow is convinced he will never see the hot doctor again, but faith has something else planned when their doctor can’t come with them on tour and sends a replacement. And of course that replacement is Ethan. So now they have to spend 3 months on the road together..

This started out great. A slow burning romance and only one hot kiss at the beginning. The tension between these guys while they took it slow and became friends first was great.

But somewhere halfway I started to lose interest when everything between these guys was kind of done. There was friendship, there was love, there was sex. Aaaaand…. I was bored.

The crazy OTT conslusion to the stalker mystery couldn’t even hold my interest.

Oh, and the jokes and banter in this were just not funny. Everyone was constantly laughing their socks off at stupid stuff, and I was cringing the entire time.

description

And what really bothered me was that Ethan was the doctor that had to come on tour because of Troy, but the author did everything in her power to keep Troy’s condition a secret. So I have no idea why it was so important that they had to have a fulltime doctor on board. I felt like a little kid not included in important adult stuff the parents talk about. Not a good feeling.

But.. I do have to say that the first half was pretty good and I enjoyed it a great deal. Too bad the second half was dull and went completely off the rails with the stalker thing. I really wanted someone else to be the bad guy instead of this person.

description

Ps, I read this as a stand-alone and had no trouble following along.

*** A wonderful adventure, romance and it's exciting ! ***
Dr. Ethan Winter, 33,

went out to drown some sorrows and found a really hot guy.

Crow Kensworth, 26, is at his tour's opening gig,

and sees an amazing pair of blue eyes at the bar.
With a kiss that rocked their world, each man knows it was special.

When the Tour needs a doctor to accompany them, the chosen one cannot go, so Dr. Winter is chosen, and he's fine with it. Three months on the road will be a good getaway from his sorrow.
Long story short, the sexy singer, Crow has a stalker, and notes, etc. keep showing up.

Along the way our guys find hot sexiness and a deeper connection that leads to true love. There are quite a few people that could be the stalker, and we are surprised as everyone else. It requires a huge rescue.

The cast of characters are marvelous, and the guys sex scenes are sizzling and exciting; plus other adjectives... animalistic, lustful, primal, guttural, and mind blowing.

We see Red, the movie star and Caleb the nurse from a previous story, which was a great update on them.
I like Max Walkers style and his stories always catch my attention.
ENJOY !

Really enjoyed this one.
Main MCs were sweet and well constructed as was their storyline.
However there's a few things that screwed with the 4 stars I was ready to give it:
- this book needs some editing done (specially towards the end) as it started to get a bit 'sloppy'.
- Ethans background is kinda confusing. At the start theres a part where its mentioned that when his father threw him out at 18 it was Adam who saved him by convincing his family to take Ethan in. Then after a few chapters when the 2 MCs r chatting Ethan mentions that he met Adam /after/ he moved to LA, 2 years before they got engaged. So what is it, were they friends when he was 18 or did they met when he was about 26 or 28yrs old?!?!

That being said and apart from my disliking of the ending with Angela - how unsatisfying it felt for me - it was a solid book..I'm just icky about loose threads.

LOVED this one!!! Such improvement on the "mystery" writing... good job! Crow and Ethan were really busy having sex EVERYWHERE... but, that's OK!!! LOL!!! The story flowed better and was well-written, but...

I know I shouldn't let the little things bother me, but the Jordan/Jared name issue was weird! I was like, who the heck is Jared? *headdesk*

And the missing words... yeah, they come up (or rather didn't) in the darnedest places! :(

I can't say it enough, not that anyone listens, but take an hour and PROOFREAD... please! :(

Looks like Shepard is next... moving on...

4 *Blue* Stars!

I don't think Max Walker can disappoint, well maybe just a teeny weeny bit with the grammatical errors (come on beta readers) but I'll look pass that because of course Code Blue; the third book in the Sierra View series, which is about Red Miller's (from Code Red) previous PA, crooner Crow Kensworth, and his journey to Rock Star Stardom, but also his journey with the shy and sexy Dr. Ethan Winters.

Walker did not take his time with the insta-chemistry with these two. The sexual tension between Crow and Ethan was instant and well, at first sight. Performing at the bar were Ethan use to frequent, was Crow's first stop on his American Tour, what follows after was more like fate. Ethan is asked to fill in for another doctor to assist a band mate of Crow's on their three month tour. His heartbreaking past almost made him turn it down completely but his heart had other ideas. When Crow finds this out, he's beyond happy and thus their lust grows to love but a creepy stalker won't have any of that.

Three months feels like years as Crow and Ethan open up to each other and grow stronger, against all odds. Max Walker keeps it suspenseful while smoking hot. I did finish this in one sitting because I was dying to know who the stalker was! He's good as keeping that secret til the end and well that's what makes Code Blue a great read, and every time Crow describes Ethan, it's like holy hot damn! He's almost so poetic in what he says that I can feel my heart beating faster!

Any who, Walker mixes Romance and Suspense because there's a few good twists where I thought I knew who the stalker was and bam, another twist so it's a page turner for sure. Four *blue* starts for Code Blue, on to the next in the series. Happy Reading!

Max Walker did it again. After the first two amazing books in the Sierra View series, Code Silver and Code Red, he has written another page turner. It took me all of two pages in Code Blue to be hooked. It was thrilling from the start.
Not only the sexual tension between Crow and Ethan, although that was smoking hot. No, it was also the tension of the suspenseful part of the story.
I loved the connection between Crow and Ethan. Wow, I know looks could kill but they can also love. And I mean love with a capital L. It was the more surprising that the two men were not immediately all over each other. Max took his time to let the attraction grow between Crow and Ethan before taking it further. He could easily have turned the book into one hot scene after the other but he kept it in balance with the overall story. But when the two men did land into bed or any other place it was sizzling and off the charts.
There were a lot of surprising twists I didn’t see coming. I thought I did and then I thought “no, that is too easy”, and then I was back at square one. He kept me on the edge of my seat, for sure.
This is the third installment in the highly recommended Sierra View series and can be read as a standalone. But do yourself a favor and read the other two books as well. You won’t be disappointed.

Crazy antics in the latest addition to this series

3.5* Once again I want to rate this higher but there's just a few niggling little things which stop it hitting the top mark. This time round it's typos and editing mix ups on top of another stalker plot.

I actually mostly liked the stalker plot, it worked better than the one in Code Silver, but it seems this hospital and the people connected with it have a great talent for attracting the crazy!

Crow is Red's former PA from book two and Ethan is another of the Sierra View doctors. I thought their initial meeting and attraction was well done and there was quite a slow burn before they became intimate.

I also loved how there was no relationship drama, these two opened up and talked honestly to each other which helped reduce the insta love feeling.

I'd guessed who the stalker was going to be and the reveal worked, even if the situation as a whole needs a bit of suspended belief.

Overall I still think book two has worked the best but i look forward to the fourth and finding out more about Spencer. And again the lovely cover helps.

Another great book by Max Walker!
This the third in The Sierra View Series but can be read as a standalone.
I must admit, when this landed in my email for a review I thought I was too busy to read anything and would have to disappoint the author. I read the first chapter and was totally hooked! I devoured it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Crow is a very colourful character with a great sense of humour. Ethan has a past that makes him reluctant at first. Together they are a wonderful couple. I won't spoil the story, as it needs to be read and I highly recommend it!
Although this is ultimately a m/m romance, Max writes storylines with thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat. He writes with humour and there are plenty of snuggly moments that make you want to curl up and hug a cushion while reading.
It's a testament to a good book when I can read it in a few days (regardless of my busy schedule) and feel hungry for more and totally satisfied at the same time.
Well done Max, another great book. Can't wait for the next one!

Code Blue is third book in the Sierra View Hospital Series, even though it is the third book it can be read as a standalone read. This story centres on Crow Kensworth an up and coming music star who's just about to set out on his first tour. Ethan Winters who's a Doctor at Sierra View who ends up becoming the tour Doctor.

There is an instant connection between Crow and Ethan and the pull is strong but Ethan is holding back due to a painful loss, he's trying to move forward but guilt is a terrible thing. Crow can see this and is trying to take things slow he wants more with Ethan but knows he can't push to hard. Crow also has to deal with the fact that his rising fame is bringing his own trouble to the table with a stalker.

Crow and Ethan's story really pulled me in with their feelings and off the charts chemistry. Their love was true, their love was pure and i loved every minute of this read.
Max Walker really kept me on the edge with who the stalker was at one point i thought i knew then it changed again. Giving us a great read can't wait to see what comes next from Max.

Story 4.5 *, Emotion/Passion 4.5 *, Sizzle 4.5 *.  This is the third book, in a wonderful series set around Sierra View Hospital.  Ethan is a physician held captive by the sorrow at the loss of his husband when he met the eyes of a singer in a small club near the hospital.  The singer, Crow, in the first show of a new US tour was somehow captured by Ethan's eyes in a mutual moment of ... interest, surprise, recognition, perhaps?

The story begins with a feeling, an immediate feeling, that something is going to happen.  There is an intensity, a feeling of anticipation.  Sparkling with sexual tension and a hint that there is something else going on, perhaps behind the scenes, the singer and his entourage begin their tour.  The men are interesting, caring and oh, so sexy.  This story is packed with local color, suspense, and a wonderfully satisfying HEA.

A story of true chemistry and second chances. A new beginning of love for Dr. Ethan is just around the corner. Crow and Ethan are beautiful together with there deep chemistry right from the start of this amazing book. Gotta have love with a bit of drama with this its a stalker who's out for Crow. You'll never guess who it is. The ending is fantastic. A scene in this was particularly hot, poor Crow had to concentrate and try and sing. Lol
Crow was a singer with his band performing for a crowd his eyes spotted a guy at the back which left him speechless. He has a twin, his brother Shepherd who was attending medical school.
Ethan just wanted to unwind after being at the hospital with a few drinks. He soon spotted a gorgeous guy on stage that had his complete attention.
A amazing story and series, I can't wait for Shepherd's story.

Fortunate Fame

Meeting the hottest guy on the planet after he sang his heart open to you might be the main story for some, but riding in his band's bus through his full concert tour as the band's doctor is unbelievable. Having to watch this incredibly talented guy be stalked by a disturbed fan while you find yourself falling for him terrifies you because you could lose everything again.

While a disgruntled fan repeatedly causes concern with the staff, the MCs pursue a relationship. No one allows the warnings derail the tour.

Could not finish!!

I tried reading this because the story had potential. Ignored all the editing errors but could not ignore the author mixing up the names of his main characters! The second time he used the name Caleb (the fiancee of Red) in place of Crow in a scene with Ethan, I had enough.

Another winner!

Sometimes you just need a good love story with two princes who could use a good rescuing. Add in a better than average mystery villain and a bunch of out-of-the-way, obscure museum “dates”, and you’ve got a worthy and fun addition to the Code series—all of which have proven wonderful escapist romance reading!

Bit Far Fetched But Decent Read

The good thing about this one is that there is an instant attraction between Dr. Ethan Winter and rising music star Crow Kensworth, which is refreshing in an era of so many gay4you and enemies-to-friend-to-lovers books. And though the cover is a bit off in the way the two are described in the book, there is reasonable credibility in how hot Ethan and Crow think the other guy is.

What is a bit far fetched for me is the way Ethan winds up being the roadie doctor to Crow's first coast-to-coast concert tour and how somewhat jumbled and often confusing the trip is in terms of locales and incidents. What is not questionable, however, is how these two set the road on fire once they decide to set their fears aside and get down to it.

Throwing in a stalking plot to keep it all moving is clever in a way and even if you guess who the stalker is early on (you might, you might not), it doesn't come as a surprise then the identity is revealed. The wild chase that sets up the exposition is a bit much, but in the end it works.

This is really a 3 1/2 star effort, but I'll bump it up because it did hold my interest most of the way and it was a quick read. Looking forward to the next one.

Nice read

I liked Crow and Ethan's story, it was a
sweet plotline and well developed MC's. A nice twist with the stalker and you're kept guessing until near the end. Ethan has a few devilish ideas, which are rather entertaining. Nice easy read.
